It had been three days since Aika had been look over her children, making sure that they weren't into too much trouble from a far. As much as she wanted to reveal her self to them for the simple fact that she missed them so. It killed her that she had to keep to the shadows to watch those two and she needed a way to know what they were up to. It would explain why she was right next door to of the Flower Shop that they owned.
In order to go out in public, she needed to take "steps" to make sure that no one knew she was. It required wearing a crude blond wig and a small beauty mark on her upper lip on the right side. It also require her to speak in a Russian accent t which, to say the least, was as good as she was going to get. Today was no different for Aika went to park to smoke and think in the outside air, wondering what to do about and how to show her self to her children.

[This takes place sometime after the events of "Marco Polo," located in the seventh layer of the Joukai.] Oracle observed her through the crowds of the human population, actually hiding inside the sea of souls in his usual form. The woman entranced him; more like the ones he was used to dealing with. Yet there was a scent she passed that intoxicated him for a change. A woman had never left Oracle in such a way since Chiyo. He saw through the disguise she paraded in front of the people. The Russian accent made him laugh every time he heard her speak it. Even the way she smoked a cigarette left him paralyzed with awe. Little Lotty, let your mind wander... He had to make his presence known to her; it almost seemed as if he had no choice. He saw her at the park, with the wind blowing her somewhat obviously fake blond hair. He fixed himself in a more urbanized look before approaching her; he didn't want to startle her with ancient robes and staffs in case she heard of the fairy tales of Oracle the Zaihou. "Excuse me," he said politely as he stood by her left. "Is this seat taken?"

Aika was almost surprise that she was asked that. Almost because every jerk that sat next to her thought she was a lady of the night. But the way the young man asked her was...different, yet at the same time, she felt as if she knew him from somewhere. Aika couldn't put her finger on it but she knew gut was telling her something and it was always, if anything else, the one thing she could count on.
Well, Aika thought as she rubbed out her cigarette onto the park bench, I won't figure out anything if I left the kid standing here...
"Yes," she said in the Russian accent as clear as she could, "You may sit here, young fella. Miss Karo says no to anybodies."

Heh, he thought to himself. Miss Karo; what an obvious alias
Oracle smiled and accepted the offer to sit with her. He made sure there was at least enough space for another individual to sit between them, in case she felt uncomfortable being that close to him. Once he sat down, he couldn't help but stare at her as she smoked her cigarette. From then, he could easily remove the wig in his mind and use his void powers to give him a reasonable idea of what she looked like: Black hair, perfect skin. The fact that she was smoking gave him a "Breakfast At Tiffany's" vibe. He couldn't help but smile at her beauty and what he was pulling from his spirit.
That alone should have given him warnings.
But, he decided to see where she could lead him. With so many things happening in his life, it was rare where he met a situation where he could somewhat be himself. "So," he began, "Is Karo your real name? Or is it one you just give guys so they can back off?"

Aika made a chuckle. "Your a smart one, huh?" she said in her regular soft spoken voice.
Guess it's no harm taking this damn wig off...
Aika took her hand and pulled the crude wig off and threw it over the bench that she sat in. She then picked off the fake beauty mark off her face. Aika turned in the direction of the young man and smiled
"My name is Aika." she said is a more happy voice. "I don't think I caught your name yet, little boy."

Oracle was really tempted to giver her his real name. He never felt this way about a woman before. It was really difficult for him to try and understand why he wanted her to know who he was; he never felt so confused before.
Oh, wait; nevermind...
Oracle looked at her real beauty behind the wig and face piece; she was exactly as he figured she would look. He smiled at her after hearing her real voice and brushed back his locks of white hair in front of his face. He placed his arm on the edge of the bench, making sure to stay away from her shoulder in case she felt uncomfortable. Then he took a silent deep breath.
"What have you heard about Oracle, the Zaihou?" he asked.

Aika made another chuckle as looked up into the night sky. This was turning out to be very strange, a sign of good things to come. The person that sat next to her asked her something that she knew little a lot. She did hear though that this Oracle was looking for her Son, Akuma Shadow, for some unknown purpose. she dismissed any thought of going after him to find out her self
Who is this kid? she thought, And why ask about someone who shouldn't be talk him...
Aika could only do what she always does in situations that require her to be careful of who she was with.
"Nope, never heard of him." she said softly but rather quickly, "Is that game or something?"

Oracle chuckled a little, looking away from Aika. He should have known better to understand that there were some humans that just didn't know who he was. After chuckling, he smiled toward her, showing his glistening white teeth and cutting a look that said "I want you right here." But he made sure to dilute the stare, once again, in case he made her uncomfortable.
"Just a random thought," he told her, keeping the smile. "I'm Markus, by the way."
He looked away from her for a brief second, until he thought of a way to start a discussion; something he found somewhat strange to do around her, since he was used to doing it all the time.
"Do I really look like a little boy?" he asked, once again showing off his smile.

Aika went up to the boys lips and grazed them with hers, a smile coming over her lips.
"You can't." she whispered as if the wind it self said it as it went pass the both of them.
"I don't play with toys..." she then moved back from her spot to her seat again and giggled.
I haven't done that since him... she thought back with another smile. "And to answer your question, yes you do. look around my son's age, maybe younger. Then again, I'm not that old looking my self." she made a cough, turning to see boy's face.
"So tell me, why did you ask me a question such as that."

Oracle was taken for surprise. It was like she was able to read his facial expression. And when she came in close to him, not only was there a force of friction that shattered him like a rock to a window, but he never had an instance where he wanted to take a female right then and there and force her into his mouth while grouping somewhat forcefully yet comforting to the point of seduction to the victim.
But, Oracle had to stay cool. If he gave any hesitation of weakness toward her, she could possibly find a way to take advantage of him. He looked at her hypnotically and shrugged his shoulders.
"I have a habit of asking that question a lot," he said. "It's the fairy tale about a mythical creature haunting the night, luring little children out of their sleep, never to be seen again. That's the version I like. Others say that with the adolescence of certain generations, he comes and takes their life force so he could live another millenia, but something about luring children gave off this Pied Piper aspect about him that I found fascinating. I had to study him in an Ancient Mythology class back when I was in college."
He sighed.
"So," he said as he placed his hand between the two of them, right next to her thigh, and trying to play off the situation that just happened. "You have a son, huh? If you think I'm younger than him, then he must be around thirty-five, right? Because I'm around thirty three."

She had a feeling that he was studying something he shouldn't but at least that "book" didn't tell him other things that magical folk like her-self knew about the fellow.
The things I know would freak him out, she thought, hell the things I know give me the shakes... Without know she did throw out a gross out shake just out of habit.
"No," she with a knowing cough of of the man's hand on her thigh, "He's not that old, he is much younger. My daughter is a year behind him. I didn't get to see much of them, at least without them knowing. Hell, I moved..." she giggled again, "My, my, I'm telling a complete stranger my life story and all I know is that your a thirty-something who last a remembers another man from a Ancient Mythology class."
She rose out her seat quickly and bent over, knowing fully well that her breast were leaving nothing to the imagination in her tank top and coat. "Just who are you, Mr. Markus?" she made a smile the ruby red lipstick she had on.

Oracle smiled at her as he first stared at her breasts, followed to complete eye contact. "I am a Philosopher and a Philanthropist," he stated to her. "Right now, I'm staying in a five-star apartment working on research for a book I am working on and I haven't the slightest clue to where I am. I don't even have the slightest clue what city I am in at the moment."
He stood up and stared at her almost seductively with his cat-like eyes. It only lasted for a few seconds, but those who have fell under Oracle's gaze in the past testified that the entrancing gaze lasted for hours. But he did not intend to hypnotize the beautiful women; he wanted her to come to him willingly. Instead, he blinked, gently grasped her hand and looked at her with the tenderest smile to ever grace his face.
"Do you mind," he started, "taking me on a tour?"

Aika softly took her hand back, looking in the eyes of the man that she was now taking an interest in with a nervous smile. An interest that seemed to make her go back to memories of him. Everything felt like that faithful day never happened butt as if they're first day those years ago stood still.
Aika smiled.
When her mind finally caught up with the man's voice, she was back--which to her was rude--in the real world, where it was cold again.
"I guess I can give you a tour," she started, " but I got to warn you that these streets are rough." Aika began to make her way over to the grassy area of the park, spinning in small circles as she did so. She then stopped and with out turning around asked
"So, you got to tell me, how did you end up in Tokyo, Japan without knowing?"

Oracle watched as Aika twirled around like Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seattle, seeming to only add to her already irresistible beauty. He smiled as he walked toward her.
"I feel like I should be in a top hat with an umbrella," he joked. He placed his hands in his pockets and kicked some leaves that were on the ground as he walked with the woman.
"I was asleep on my jet when one of my stewardists told me that we would be landing soon," he began. "I asked her where we were going, and she said that my client wanted it to be a surprise. Then when I get here," he said as he pulled out a piece of paper, "I recieve this piece of paper, basically making me go on a scavenger hunt to find both my hotel and his executive office building."
He started to laugh. "Kinda weird, huh?"

Aika snached the paper from the man, seeing the what he said was true. There were only two items on the paper, the places that this Philosopher spoke off--the Hotel and the building that his employer stayed. Thats when she cocked her head slightly, she only doing that when something was very odd.
That's strange, she thought, that place is the Devil Saint flower shop. Why would his employer send him there and say its his building. Who ever he's working for, they have him going some where he shouldn't.
But she couldn't just let on that she knew the place or lead him to the flower shop it self. Thinking off the top of her head she simply said with a soft smile
"There's nothing there sweetie. This place no longer stands, there is nothing more than an empty lot making way for strip club. Who ever sent you this was a fake or dead...either way, you came here for nothing. I suggest that you go back home, unless, you still want that tour..."

Oracle rose an eyebrow as he watched Aika try and make sense of the piece of paper. Then he decided to try and see what it was she was interpretting inside that mind of hers. He used his favorite technique to enable him to hear her thoughts, and the results were eye widening.
That's strange; that place is the Devil Saint flower shop.
The fact that he gathered the words Devil Saint and flower shop within the same sentence made Oracle's face go into one of his "a-ha" situations. He remembered Sara telling him that he worked at a flowershop while he was in Paris, but she didn't release the location.
The reason why he had one of his "a-ha" moments was because he realized why he was drawn to this woman named Aika. She knew who Shadow was; that was evident. But she also knew the location of the building.
But there was something else about her that entranced him to her. Could it be that he actually have been developing feelings for a complete stranger that he just met?
Why not? That's how he met Tomo...
The fact that she denied the location to him showed no surprise. After all, she only just met him. But to Oracle, what turned into a simple, yet random meet-and-greet turned into another undercover mission.
But he had to be careful because he was actually starting to like this one. He smiled at Aika and tilted his head, trying to pull off a puppy dog-type cuteness he knew his eyes echoed out.
"Sure," he said with his disguises devinair smile, "I would love that tour."

Aika smiled as the man in front of her did so but she knew that smiles sometimes hide lies and the way that this was playing out--him meeting her at the park, the strange vibe she was picking up from him just now, the way he just smiled--all of it was odd. The main thing though that really got to her was his story: A Philosopher and a Philanthropist wasn't too far off but the paper that his so-called employer gave him that had the Devil Saint address was throwing the ex-bounty hunter for a loop.
Just who is this man... she thought as she moved a part of her hair from her eyes.
"That's cool," she finally said, "I guess we can get started."
All of the sudden, a ring tone of 'Discipline' by nine inch nails went off loudly.
"Great..." she sighed as she took out the black and white cell phone, flipped it open, and answered it.
"Hello...SHE WHAT!...Wh--she's fine...thank you for doing this for me, I'll make sure that I send you payment...Yes, keep me posted, bye..."
She closed her phone.
"Sorry about that," she sighed "it's a long story. How about you lead and I tell you what you need to know on this tour. Just point and I will answer..."

Oracle looked at her with his left eyebrow raised. He placed his hands in his pockets as he peered over her shoulder. When he saw her eyes again, he had no choice but to ask.
"I take it that was business?" he asked. Then he once again looked at her seductively. "I told you what I do; just what is it that you do for a living?"

Aika made a cute pout but then smiled just as quickly.
Must he ask questions.... she wondered, But at least he is making this fun for me, I haven't had to lie to anyone for awhile. But I do feel kinda wrong about this, he did ask nicely...
Aika looked away, think of a story she could make up for this man, a habit that she did when ever she tried to think of a, how to say it, a persona for her self. She was at least with a name, so it didn't make it too hard for her to think of the story.
Oooo, lets try...
"I'm a Private Detective. It was the only thing I could do to keep an eye out for some people that I know without them knowing. The person I was talking to was one of contacts who was in Paris watching...someone of importance. Apparently she was attacked but made it out alive, something about a fire..." she sighed "I hate my job." she laughed.

Oracle chuckled a bit under his breath. Everything was making sense now. This Aika was a real find; he could tell that first hand. To be a woman of extreme beauty enough to intrigue Oracle in the first place was hard to be.
Then to find out that there was the possibility that she knew Shadow and his current location was a plus. Now there's a hint that there's a connection to her and the events that happened in Paris previously. That only affirmed Oracle of one thing:
This woman knew both Shadow and Sara. She could even possibly be related to them.
Then he remembered their earlier conversation when they were sitting on the bench.
"And to answer your question, yes you do. You look around my son's age, maybe younger. Then again, I'm not that old looking myself."
Could it be, he thought. Could she be their mother?
"I take it that's why you were using that Ms. Karo disguise?" he joked, trying not to be that suspecting. "I can honestly say that I was glad I spotted that out when I first met you; that blonde wig and that fake Russian accent was not becoming of you at all."
He looked at her with a smile.
"So this incident in Paris," he began. "What happened? I was there for a business meeting inside the restaurant in the Eifel Tower at the time, so I believe I was there around the timeframe."
