The whole point of everything that I've been doing to revamp the site lately is to try to make things more fair. Most of us have been here for a while now, and I'm learning from each and every one of you in terms of how to be a better admin. Who deserves what sort of consideration, who has a skills to do something in particular, who can I trust to get this done plotwise, etc, etc. I am learning what to expect from each of you, what parts of your writing some of you need the most help on, and what it is that you guys do habitually in your writing--not all of it is bad.
That being said, now that Rei is gone and I've made sure that I've started my part in doing everything that it was difficult to do while she was head admin--I've either done it, am in progress in doing it, or haven't started but acknowledged that it has to be done.
That said, I would like to ask all of you, from the bottom of my admin heart, to try to be a little more fair on the site.
Not to say that many of you aren't doing the right thing, but I know that sometimes we get swept up in RPing as our character, and our skill in writing begins to dictate things that it shouldn't. Please, try to keep things in perspective. We're having a lot of momentuous progression in plot, and I for one would like to avoid having to contact people in the coming months about the progression of a fight, or having to delete an action thread particularly because their character can't do--or shouldn't be able to do--whatever task it is that they are completing.
To take all of this into consideration, you must remember:
And, if you're not sure who should win in a fight, put the thread on hold and PM the person you're RPing with. Work it out. There's nothing wrong with discussing the outcome of a fight. If you're making a deal about "rigging" a fight that you wouldn't win for character development or something, and your opponent agrees to it, please PM so that I know.
Likewise, if you think that someone is fighting unfairly, or their doing something outside of their power ranger, or if they're godmodding or anything like that, please tell me. I have a lot to do and I can't catch everything on the site. I can only help if you make sure that I know.
Thanks for listening. This is very important to me, so I hope that you all please try your hardest to keep Kiseki a fun place to RP!

To take all of this into consideration, you must remember:
- Your writing is not what makes your character better. I realize that it's important to be a good writer on Kiseki, but there are other, more important things that make your character what he/she is. You can't win a fight just because you write better than someone. Take a look at what your character actually is in comparison to your opponent's character, and really, deeply, think about whether or not it's right for your character to win. If it isn't, I'm sure that your pride can suffer a loss so that your character can get better. And on the opposite side, don't let someone intimidate you in battle just because they write better. If your character is stronger/has more skill, etc., regardless of whether or not they right more eloquently, you character is just better. Again, think about whether or not your character should win, honestly, and act based upon that.
- The Age of your character is an important factor when fighting. Just because your character has awesome powers and etc, etc, doesn't necessarily mean that they will win. If you don't have the experience to use your powers correctly, then it would be easy for someone with more experience to overtake the tide of battle. I'm sure that a lot of you have bothered to deck out your character abiltiies--which I'm editing right now because of this problem--but that doesn't guarantee that you'll win in every fight.
- Skill is an important factor as well. Even if you have a character who is old, what good does that do when they've only just started learning how to fight/use magic, etc.? Again, think about it realisitically. Whether or not you don't want to lose, being fair is the most important thing.
- Race is only important sometimes. I know that Dragons and Celestials are the highest ranking races on the boards, but that doesn't mean that every Celestial/Dragon has been trained in combat. Believe it or not, some of them are civilians in their respective natures. Again, you have to look at their overall character, not just necessarily one factor. Don't cheat yourself or someone else out of character development.
