"Abb...adon..."
That's what he heard.
After he noticed that no one was moving other than Shadow, Roiyaru, Taiyou and himself, he quickly caught Shadow in his arm he had touching him. He scanned the area; everything was frozen in place, including the four angels. He looked at Shadow and frowned.
You can't be doing this shit, can you? he thought to himself. But Abbadon knew to think on that subject another time. What was important now was getting Taiyou away from these guys. Still holding his wrist from keeping Taiyou from cutting the angel's head off, Abbadon looked at him with a serious face that only rivaled Taiyou's own.
"You have to get out of here, bro," he told Taiyou. "Now."

Roiyaru could only stand still as he watched his master catch Shadow in his arm. Whilst he regretted having to resort to this method, he stood in the confidence knowing that the situation showed no other alternative. Everything but the four of them were frozen in place; it was a miracle that the Time magic inside the Knight knew to activate in the form of pausing it.
Roiyaru stood at attention as he watched his master declare to Taiyou that he had to leave; something that the sprite agreed with completely.
"I agree, Taiyou," Roiyaru stated. "Make use of this opportunity while you have the chance. Like my master stated previously; it is him that they are initially after, not you..."

Taiyou stopped, millimeters away from Kogane's neck, his swing powerful enough to have decapitated the mighty warrior. Shaking with power as he used everything in his being to restrain himself from archiving the killing blow he so longer to deliver this foe in particular. "Why, why the fuck should I stop! This guy won't stop until I'm dead, and he'll kill you too. Dammit Hakaisha, this is not a fucking game, this isn't a situation where you help these guys and they let you go, Heaven is dirty and ruthless, and they'll find a reason to get rid of you after they got what they wanted." Taiyou said said, holding his weapon away from the vital point of his enemy, a small distance form effortlessly ending Kogane's life.
"Give my one reason, one goddamn reason why I should let him, or any of these bastards live?" Taiyou said, turning his neck toward Abbadon, his breathing heavy as blood seeped from his nose and mouth. "Do you even know why they want you all of a sudden?" Taiyou continued in an angry voice. Although his head was facing Abbadon's direction, his eyes never left Kogane's, who was unaware of the impending doom that awaited him.

Abbadon frowned, listening to Taiyou's rants about Heaven. This wasn't the Taiyou he remembered. Keeping his arm from chopping off the guy's head by holding his wrist gave him access to his past. And while he heard Taiyou speak on his hatred of Heaven, he could see everything that happened in his past since he was banished in the mortals; his fall, his family's death, everything. And the fact that his doctrine was going against everything that he saw; everything that he realized that he stood for, he knew that he had to put him in his place.
"THINK for one fucking second, Taiyou!" Abbadon yelled. "This is not who you are, and you know it! You let anger and vengeance blind you of the determination I know still resides in you! To kill them now -- while they're completely fucking helpless -- that goes against the code that you follow, that you believe in, and that you taught me!"
Abbadon threw Shadow over his shoulder, wrapping his arm around his back to keep the weight off his arm.
"Do you think Tsuki would approve of this?!" Abbadon said in a harsh whisper. "She knew you were better than this; your children knew you were better than this. Killing this guy this way would only bring shame to their names. And then... and then you would have become the very thing you swore to destroy."
Abbadon had to check himself. It was like he meant everything he said, but everything he said didn't sound like him at all. He couldn't think about any possibilities that it meant; all he knew was that while he found this new feeling foreign, it felt strangely familiar. He looked at Taiyou with a less angry look and more pleading.
"Please," he said quietly. "Don't do this; not this way. If not for yourself, and not for me, then for your family..."

Taiyou paused as he soaked in Abbadon's word, unsure and unconcerned at why his opponent's could no longer move, he just wanted to end the bad blood that had existed between himself and this group of Uprights that persisted more than a millennium. He said the name of Taiyou's wife, he mentioned their children and the potential damage to his reputation he faced if he proceeded in this next act of savage violence. In times of war, anyone that could take up arms were deemed hostile under all circumstances, the volatile nature of the war between the celestial race bred for much hated amongst the two sides did not leave much room mercy and surrender, these concepts foreign in a war fought over ideal. But this was not war, and more than an unfortunate moment of happenstance in which bad blood was to be spilled again, this time out of sheer spite and the overwhelming advantage of movement, both of which Taiyou had an abundance of.
Lowering his arms, Taiyou turned to Abbadon, "Everything I taught you happened before our kind cast out the better of us for hearsay and petty bullshit, and it had no place when innocent people were burned because they chose to forage a better and free life for themselves." Taiyou said, spitting blood on top the ground near Abbadon's feet in annoyance. Grabbing his sword he turned away from his friend and pupil in both embarrassment and anger, "When these assholes take you to wherever you're going, you'll see, and I won't be their Hakaisha... I won't be able to pull your ass from the fire if their leader is calling the shots."
"Celestial and Fallen are the same fucking thing, but that doesn't matter anymore, you won't understand until you go back... there is no going back form here, and this is the last time you'll see me if you fall in leagues with them, if Gin doesn't slit your throat himself." Taiyou said, walking away from the group, hiding the pain of his internal wounds.
"You're such a bleeding heart you know that..." Oni said in a snide manner, opening a portal, reading Taiyou's thoughts.
"You sound like your old man you know that?" Taiyou said to Abbadon before walking into the portal, departing for a place to lick his wounds from this encounter, his past complicating what had earlier proven to be a reunion between old friends, had now ended in the a bitter parting of ways between a mentor and his former pupil, the sting of the truth of Abbadon's words, burrowing into Taiyou's soul, causing him to reflect on whether he was about to make a horrible mistake.

Somehow, Abbadon knew he reached Taiyou just by how he retaliated. He did the same thing whenever someone told him an inconvenient truth about himself; another personality trait he picked up from the hot-head, no doubt. He stood there keeping Shadow's unconscious body over his right shoulder and ate just about everything his old friend dished out, still remembering one detail between the two of them: Taiyou left by choice.
"...there is no going back from here," Taiyou said before he started to walk away. "And this is the last time you'll see me if you fall in leagues with them, if Gin diesn't slit your throat himself."
Abbadon frowned a bit. By the time he wanted to ask who the hell was this "Gin" he kept hearing about, he had already formed a portal to escape. But to his statement that this may be their last time seeing each other, Abbadon had to chuckle a bit lightly.
"Believe me, bro," he said in earshot. "I hope that's not the case."
Right before Taiyou left through that said portal, Abbadon could see Taiyou stare at him. As Abbadon looked with the same kind of intensity, he heard him Taiyou say something that would continue to throw him off completely.
"You sound like your old man, you know that?"
Abbadon's eyes widened as he watched Taiyou leave through the portal. So that's what was going on with him. Now that his mind was free from whatever spell Oracle had over it, it was trying to catch up from the lack of development, especially since his discovery that he had a pact with Past magic.
And apparently, once it was finished, that mindset would make his equal that of Noel Hakaisha; his late father.
Abbadon noticed the area around him start to slowly move around. Apparently, whatever Shadow did to stop time was starting to wear off. It seemed to have started outside the building, giving Abbadon the idea that time would continue itself where they were last, since it were there that it started.
He stared and snapped his finger at Roiyaru, signaling him to stand by his left. Continuing to hold Shadow on his right shoulder, stared at the frozen guard in confidence as he felt the cold nose of Roiyaru glide across his left hand. Placing his hand on the left side of his sprite's face, Abbadon stood and recapped his first mission working with the Devil Saints to himself. After everything that had happened -- meeting Shadow, fighting Arashi, unleashing Roiyaru and finding out his true origins, along with comrades of old -- he realized that he wasn't the only benefactor in this. Everyone he worked with grew as an individual from it. And he didn't have to peer into the past of anyone to figure that out.
Seeing the time magic around them start to fade away, Abbadon continued to wait until time no longer stood still for the Einjheriar. He stood to wait for the angels to take the three of them off to Heaven, not knowing what the future held for them or cared about it either.
Besides; what fun was that?
