The Aves group is made up of all birds, specifically because there are too many with very similar features to be broken up into groups, and many birds are relatively the same background wise, other than climate issues that influence traditions and cultures. They are all referred to as:

• Tori (all types of birds)
  

To distinguish themselves from others, most Tori youkai will mention their specific species of bird upon introduction.

Tori (Bird) Youkai

There are specific types of Tori youkai, although like the Shika or Topata, this is the name that identifies them overall. Like the Inu and the Neko, many members of Tori youkai tribes are also pets for Humans. Tori youkai are the few youkai who actuallyenjoy their Human forms.

This group is very simple. As birds, they enjoy colors and weather that are specifically related to their native habitat. Because of this, Tori youkai coordinate everything about themselves in Human form--hair, eyes, clothing choices--even the type of magic they practice. They will result to any excuse necessary to keep these patterns (dyeing their hair, colored contacts, or using magic and blaming these products). They are all at least partially vain.

When theyreach maturity, and decide on their Human form, they tend to have the unspoken tradition of assigning themselves a theme. It is not uncommon to see a Karasu (crow) youkai wielding chaos ordark simply because of an effect that the magic produces that matches their theme. It is also possible for these themes to change, but not very often.

For the most part, Tori youkai do not honestly care who travels with them, and in wildlife settings will even travel with quadropeds. They are not picky about very much unless it involves themselves directly.

In battle, Tori are known for organizing quickly and under pressure. They are good for last minute battle plans and for using strengths and weaknesses to compliment each other as an advantage.

In their half form, Tori youkai feature feathers attached to their arms, as well as tail feathers. All feathers in this form are thicker and more durable to allow for flight of such a heavy figure.

Requirements for Tribe names: Tori youkai name their tribes after items in nature--just like the Shika youkai--but there is always a color in the title.

Requirements for group magic: Any Tori youkai use whatever type of magic fits their fancy. Because of their vain natures, however, your element MUST be in coordination with the theme of your character image or description.
