Personality:Kobushi is kind and compassionate to everyone. His love for the celestial race as a whole is matched only to his devotion to his kinsmen and students. He is fully devoted to his family, and none can suggest otherwise. His feelings to his kin are obsessive at times, and he would easily give his life to save "ANY" member of the Suzaku no Ichizoku, no matter if they are directly related or a branch family. The man is small in stature, but instead of be loud and such in order to make himself bigger, he proves himself to those around him. His heart is huge, and that has little to do with the possession by the Seirei of Love.
Kobushi has OCD(lol not really), though no one really considers it anything but a result of his racial and elemental alignment. He rarely goes anywhere without his stuffed rabbit, Usa-chan. He is seriously meticulous about his training methods and form in martial arts. When any of his students make mistakes his punishments are swift and severe. Though, even after his students are treated so he helps them up and re-instructs them as a caring parent might. His switching from serious to calm and sweet is frequent depending on the subject, but in most cases he will be charmingly innocent in nature. His pleasant aura never ceases, until of course his kindness is wrung dry and things need to be done strictly.
History:Kobushi was born into the Koken clan, a branch family that shares a blood relation with the Miyazawa family. Their common ancestor may not be known any longer, but it is not of anyone's concern. The Koken clan has taken the position of protectors of the Miyazawa and are proud to hold this right. For millenia the Koken family has studied martial arts in order to better serve under the more powerful head family. Although it was rare for the Koken family to birth an elementally aligned child, they made up for it in their skill in combat.
Kobushi was young and able from the start, and considered to be the only worthy heir to the clan. Even before he was able to fully use his teaching the child showed his potential. At the age of 40 his father began to notice that his punches would frequently break a target before it was touched. After that it was discovered that the boy was using the Force element behind his punches without knowing. After ten years passed he was acknowledged as one of Suzaku's Seishi in an accident that involved a stolen rabbit.
One night when the young Kobushi woke to use the restroom he was without Usa-chan and went in search of it. His father had taken it intending to rid his prodigy sun of such a thing. That had been a mistake, for as soon as boy found his father holding his bunny over a flame he went off. The child crushed his fathers arm and pulled the rabbit to him in an instant. Then, as the house was awakened and headed out to subdue the child they found themselves unable to reach Kobushi. The boy pushed away anything in a three foot radius without restraint. Every now and then he pulled someone in and pushed them away abruptly. Though the damage was light, each person was hurled away rather forcefully.
Later, after the situation was relayed to the head family, Kobushi was transported to the seventh layer to stay with the Miyazawa family. He spent his next century or so of life in their care and trained with them. A trainer from the Koken house was sent to continue his martial arts training as the boy studied art and manners. Kobushi learned to play the nohkan as well as how to better control his magical abilities. He was given the title of Nuriko Boshi within his time in the Miyazawa household. he also had the chance to meet Chiyo. His meeting her had a lasting effect on him and he respected her greatly. Though, her death caused him to wonder just who her ex-lover had really been. Instead of hatred he considered the name of Sanada Tomo with scrutiny.
At the age of 162 Kobushi was released from in house training in the Miyazawa house and was told that he needed to do his duties as a Cherub. He was given the assignment of guarding a mythological artifacts museum in the mortal realm. The museum was home to no less the eight magically significant objects and a rather interesting mortal female named Celest. It was in this time that he was persuaded to take a bite of German chocolate cake. He found himself highly addicted to mortal sweets and in his time on earth he ate them frequently. He formed a rather solid bond with both the museum and the woman, though he noticed his attraction to the woman and quickly turned himself away. After a decade on earth he requested to return to heaven and left her there.
Kobushi, now 174, was immediately announced as the head of the Koken clan and took over the tradition of training family and some military personnel. His methods were often harsh, but just as often found useful and easily followed. He was a great teacher, and that was how he was know and respected in his family. Though, he found out that his former charge at the museum was robbed and the female, Celest, was murdered. Instead of the small pang of guilt that he had expected after hearing such he was stricken with a lovesick grief. The seirei of love awakened and went out of control. The attraction he had developed mildly in his time on earth became a crippling love, and the news of his loss broke him and for years he was forced to remove himself from social activity.
At 216 years old, Kobushi again found himself stable and in control of the Seirei energies inside of him. Though, a unfading taste for sweets from the mortal realm posed a problem. He admits it as his only real vice and accepted it. After that he spent a few years working under the Miyazawa in preparation for taking up the entire of the Suzaku no Ichizoku. He spent the next century simply doing as he was supposed to, meaning he trained the younger and older members of his family and trained to be a proper leader. As such he had to ensure no one would question his taking the title of Souke. It was unlikely for such a thing to happen given the principles on which the family was founded but he still needed to ensure his worth.
At 321 Kobushi was considered ready and received the title of Souke to the Suzaku no Ichizoku. His clan was thusly lifted to the main family of Suzaku and bumped the Miyazawa into the role of a branch family. The minimal confrontations Kobushi was met with were crushed, literally, as he was to obtain the honor of the celestial realm. If he was to uphold law and honor there was no reason to accept those seeking to destroy the structure of a family. He dealt with those who rebelled against him as firmly as if they meant to betray Suzaku and the heavens. Kobushi now holds great responsibility but still maintains his personality as one of the sweetest and compassionate Cherubim in heaven. Though, he has accepted he will never reach 5ft tall.

His smile is infectious and his soft and supple skin and his youthful appearance cover up the raw strength of this soft hearted Cherub.
