Death was given the ability to teleport into and within any realm with living souls that are bound for Reikai by the Shijin as a gift when he accept his job. Along with that he was given a few other helpful abilities.
Death can tell your health, and can see any life threatening injury that can or will acur in the next three days.
Death is also invisible to any and all mortals regardless of special abilities or magical aid. This is due to the fact that the shijin believed no mortal could handle seeing the angel of death, and also to make sure that Death could not influence the life and death of any mortal creature. (celestial beings are able to see him but only when they are not due to die in the next month)
Along with these abilities Death was given a list that shows the date of all definite or indefinite deaths for seven days.

Personality: His personality is for the most part twisted. He likes to watch as the most gruesome end falls on his "charge" before he takes the soul to it's destination. He can be seen checking his list for irreversible deaths because they tend to yield excellent finishes. He likes the sight and smell and the overall scene of a horrid end.
On a less disturbing note as a person he is calm and rashinal. His pride and honor are the mos unwavering pillars of his personality and he is loyal to the T. He is easily annoyed by idiocy and finds himself bored with the common practice of human morbidity. As a matter of fact the most delectable scenes become distastefull with humans around.
History:
Originally born under the name Celsus(proud) Principium(beginning). He was of the parent generation but wasn't keen to the thought of becoming a breeder. So, he lived the first years apart from the rest of his generation and found his time spent often in the human realm. He went along playing with the lives of humans. He did things quietly for the most part by whispering in the ears of the more charismatic of the race. Causing them to wage wars and such. In one case he led a band of slaves across the countryside murdering all those they met. Though they were eventually slaughtered themselves much to Celsus' amusement.
He also caused conflicts where ever he found a difference in race to be exploited. He set the people against each other when he found them too calm, though in general the humans were already ready to wage war they had a few that could talk the rest into peace.
During his games on earth he met a vicious and stealthy sprite that went by the name of Sa' des. The darkness sprite was a being that kept itself as a perpetual shadow and could assume the form of whatever shadow it touched. By taking the role of a creatures shadow it fed itself on that beings energy until cast away or it killed the creature. When he met Sa'Des the creature had set itself in Celsus' shadow and been caught in the act. Celsus imprisoned the shadow and tortured it until it could no longer keep it's shadowy state. Celsus at first did not know it was a sprite until it turned back to it's natural state and begged forgiveness.
The frail sprite agreed to pact with the angel and became his servant. Sa' Des of course was given a few perks as well, he was allowed to feed on the celestial energy of Celsus while he inhabited his shadow as long as she agreed to give her power to the angel.
Soon after becoming the master to Sa'Des the first generation began their battles for the crown's of heaven. There were those whom felt insulted that they were not allowed to take the mantle of celestial kings. Then there were those in his generation that had not had any children chosen to fight. Together they conspired to do things against the gods and the chosen. This formed a problem and it was then that Celsus was first called to do the work of his creators. He was to make sure no being interfered with the process of crowning the kings. Thus, Celsus was forced to kill a few of his generation and imprison others in a kind of limbo he created for Sa'Des which was used to feed the voracious sprite.
The crowning of the kings went without interruption, though there were some that were enraged at the deaths of their young and felt they needed revenge. Celsus was charged to protect the younger kings from these aggressors and again he was forced to confront those of his generation that were foolishly against their gods wishes. He imprisoned all of them in the Limbo of Sa'Des to be drained for the sprite.
When the Kings were strong enough and there were no more disgruntled angels of the parent generation Celsus was called to atone for his actions in the mortal realm. He was forgiven on a large scale due to his protecting the young kings and was given a new charge. He was to become Death. He dropped his name and took the name Death and was granted aiding abilities abilities. Also, because of his previous actions in Ningenkai he was made unseen and unheard bay any and all mortal creature, as well as any celestial creature nearing death. He was given a list and told to take souls to Reikai. he was not to take lives or influence the death of any being without permission direct permission from at least three shijin and the same for aiding a beings survival.
When the Shijin were imprisoned he was unable to do anything about it and had only to follow their orders left for him. He cannot take the life of any being(celestial or mortal) or influence the death of any being(celestial or mortal). Nor can he tell them of there eminent demise. The only time he is allowed to use lethal force is when a being has gone against the normal cycle of life and is threatening his job's fragile balance.(which has never to date actually been done) He has no more opinion when it comes to the wars of angels then in the wars of man. In fact the only thing he tends to favor is his own race. Though he is the ancestor of none of them he feels somewhat as a parent to the race as a whole. He uses the tech so graciously made by his race, even if only in a show of his marksmanship.
Strengths: Confident, strong willed, kind,wise and thinks everything through.
Weaknesses: Mentally unstable.
Most honorable: Being in service to the Shijinn even after they have left. He takes honor in keeping to the contract he signed millennia ago.
Most dishonorable deed: killing and causing the death's of countless mortals for his own entertainment. Manipulating armies into war and genocide.
