The "Sword of Darkness" was crafted by the Shijin Kouryuu for the Hakaisha line as a reward for accepting his main element willingly. First wielded by the Archangel Hakaisha Noel, the sword had been witnessed by many mortals whenever it was used by it's bearer to aid human development, making it the subject of many mortal myths. It has since been passed down to his son, Hakaisha Abbadon, whose intentions were to use the abilities of the sword to aid him in making Heaven a better place for all uprights.
Only a being that has control over Chaos can wield the blade and access it's abilities. These abilities include the affect of suppressing a victim's magic or unleash large amounts of magic at once, although both take much skill and knowledge with the sword to do. Both affects--suppressing and unleashing--a being's magical power in its purest form is very dangerous and will most likely damage the wielder in some way, even severely depending on the personal strength of the wielder.
At one point, the sword appeared to have a mind of its own, spurting out chaotic energy at all of those who approached it, attacking, injuring, and possibly killing all those who have sought to use it without permission. This has revealed itself to be an affect of a chaos sprite inhabiting the sword. The sprite has since been removed and these occurrences have stopped.
