A verbose thread is a thread where all of those who are speaking do so in a ridiculously long-winded and elaborate manner, using words that may not be needed to make a point, just to do it. It's rather fun trying to come up with a verbose way of saying something, so you should try it.
-Verbose Translation of the above-
I say old bean! A thread of the verbose persuasion is one in which those esteemed gents and ladies (not to permanently eliminate strumpets and street lurkers, although they are certainly not preferred) phrase their language of choice in an elegant fashion which may encourage others in the vicinity to declare that they are full of hot air, also utilizing unnecessary and sometimes archaic vocabulary to get across the point upon which their viewpoint may stand. It is indeed rather delightful attempting to emulate such a style of communication, and it would behoove you to take a swing at it old chum!

Wow, that is a rather long winded type of explanation that someone has ever explained for something that should be drawn out. I feel extremely exhausted and would most likely take a short rest that would probably last a couple of hours. Now I shall go off my merry way to get a beverage that is my favorite of the dew from the mountains and good evening to you.

My good lady, this man who stands before us is nothing but a knave, and if such a scalawag insists upon breaking the good policies that have been passed unanimously for this thread, particularly by yours truly, I must transform myself into a rather rude hostess and request very firmly that such a person should leave. A thread stated as having verbose persuasion requires that all such replies be written in such a manner, and I shall be easily be swept aside by anyone who shows such little interest in following the legislation passed for such a thread.
Have I made myself clear?
