Race: Tora-Jin
Birthdate: Unknown
Birthplace: Ningenkai
Sexuality: Currently selebate; cares about intimacy and the worth of the spirit.
Significant Other: None
Personality:
Rajah is a very emotional being. He always acts with his heart rather than with his mind. He is also quite sensitive and affectionate toward others, especially toward people that he cares for, or grows to like. He is rather peaceful and refuses to fight unless it was absolutely necessary and every other alternative was tried and failed. To keep from fighting others, he tends to stay in his hybrid form, hoping to scare anyone away from fighting a Tiger-Man.
History:
Rajah was born in the Ningenkai under his surname Nagoyaka and was discovered by a band of Tibetian monks. Under the impression he was a mere Tiger cub, he was taken to their temple where he first observed the practice of Tai-Chi. Mimicing the lessons he observed, he was able to use the method to stand upright and learn the ways and methods of humans, such as facial expressions and speech.
The monks soon realized that the cub showed humanistic traits and immediately judged him as an evil spirit. He was exiled from the monks care and was forced to wander the world alone. However, he kept the monks teachings of peace and Tai-Chi to heart, even when he made it to India at the age of 17. He was accepted instantly by the Indians, letting Nagoyaka know that not all humans judge you for how you look.
He studied the Dravidian martial arts; a series of Indian self defense techniques, still keeping the Tibetian monks teachings to heart. He was well renowned in South India, called "the Tiger of Humanity." But it wasn't until he first used his Spirit ablilities until that statement was taken literally.
One day he started to see a spirit leave the body of a man. His family surrounded him, grieving. With a tear rolling down his cheek, Nagoyaka left himself and channeled the element of Spirit. Unaware of this until after he bound the spirit back to it's vessel, he realized that he performed magic and feared that the people of India would reject him. But instead, the child of the man Nagoyaka saved hugged him in thanks, and the country of India loved him more than ever.
It was then that he started to use his talents he learned from the people of India to defend the country he loved. Realizing that he was an excellent strategist and war game planner, India declared him Rajah Nagoyaka; War Prince of India.
For eight years, Rajah defended the country of India from terrorists, war and other world conquerers. But he could not rest until he found out who he was. So he left India to find out where his place truly was in life, promising to return.
Strengths: His strengths are in his emotions and sensitivity. He's kind, loving, gentle, affectionate, understanding and peaceful.
Weaknesses: When the situation calls for it, he can be quite stubborn sometimes.
Most honorable deed: During his travels after leaving India, he stopped a mudslide from destroying a village in China after learning the ways of Earth from a teacher just outside Tibet.
Most dishonorable deed: During Rajah's reign as War Prince of India, he witnessed the murder of someone close to him by the hand of some very violent and dangerous refugees. Acting on nothing but raw emotions, he immediately slaughtered the entire tribe with a mixture of his martial arts training and a sudden feral rage that overwhelmed him. After calming down and witnessing what he had done, he became ashamed and vowed to never kill again.
Likes: People, traveling, relaxing, laying in a green pasture to watch the stars at night, fish.
Dislikes: lies, anyone who enjoys watching the misfortune of others, fried chicken.
Aspirations: To find out who he is, if there are anyone else like him and - if there is - to learn about the ways of his own people so that he can choose wether or not to apply it to the people of India when he returns.
Appearence: Rajah Nagoyaka is around six foot ten and weighs around 315 pounds in muscle. Because he believes in non-violence (and has a love of intimacy), his claws are usually retracted into his paws, even when he has no other choice but to fight.
Rajah usually parades in one of three outfits: a blue excercise outfit he recieved from his Earth magic teacher from China, a green "war-game" outfit he left India with, and a brown and white hooded outfit he recieved from a tailor in a village close to Zeshin's hometown to fit in with the human population, in case he ran into others that would find his natural appearance threatening.
Rajah's eyes are usually a light brown. But when he uses either one of his magical abilities, they change color. When he uses his spirit magic, Rajah's eyes glow green. When he uses his Earth magic, Rajah's eyes go into a very dark brown. Although there are rare occurances when Rajah's eyes mimic the attributes of a mood ring. Whenever he is happy, they tend to go into a golden color. When depressed or saddened, they turn blue. But the only time he is depressed is either when his ears are folded back, or when he is crying.
