Hinsei is rather snobbish. He enjoys using his highly enhanced dialogue, high intellect, knowledge over his magic and his Aristocratic nature to make himself seem better than those below him. But when he does come across someone who is of higher authority than himself, he immediately knows when to subside.
History:
Hinsei was born into a Japan where magic and anything supernatural was nothing but folklore. Because of this, he trained in the ways of the warrior by his samurai father, not knowing that he was subconsciously training his birthed spirit magic as well. When he first used his magic, he was in an argument with him about honor and the negative effects of pride. He spoke out of context to his father, which resulted in a slap to the face. In instinct, Hinsei punched his father in the chest, the punch becoming a gateway to release his father’s spirit and absorbing it along with his gifts and talents. When his mother discovered what happened, Hinsei killed her the same way out of panic.
Setting his family’s estate on fire, Hinsei ran away and trained in his spirit magic personally, using the knowledge he gained from absorbing his father’s talents to helm him becoming a better swordsman and fighter. During that time period, Hinsei mastered his usage of his spirit magic, and enhanced his knowledge and skills by stealing the essences from traveling scientists and alchemists that traveled the country. By the time he had become that of a genius and found a way to use his own spirit magic to keep his body from aging, he ran into a man named Oda Rimenshi, who invited him to join the elders of Tenmeigakure to help advance their mission of world peace.
Hinsei agreed and used his knowledge to help keep the village secret, being one of the main mages to come up with the concept for the biological dome to conceal the village. During the time, Hinsei would still go out into the world to obtain more knowledge and skills from others to add to his own, keeping up-to-date with different technologies and sciences. He did this for over two hundred years, seeing Rimenshi pass as well as the other leaders up until Kyoumou Tsurugi’s reign as Clan leader. But then one night he was subconsciously told to evacuate the village by force, by any means necessary. Hinsei sought this opportunity to steal the spirits of the villages Head Guards as the other elders slaughtered their families.
Realizing that the Village of the Dawn was no more, Hinsei soon learned that its constitution would be replaced with that of a new one; New Babylon. Hinsei became intrigued at the idea of New Babylon as it was explained by the villages new “Clan Leader,” Markus Bleache’. He felt that now that the village would be exposed to the world, they could do better to protect it from the evils that dwelled within it. And now as the spirit elder for the organization and one of the six Elder representatives for the New Babylon Council, he plans to help Markus Bleache’ and his company Skylight Industries overcome the oppression and evil of the world as one of the most important voices of New Babylon.
Strengths: Hinsei’s strengths are in his ability to comprehend just about every situation that could be possibly thought about, given the fact that he has been alive to witness almost all of them.
Weaknesses: Hinsei’s weakness is in his cockiness and arrogant behavior. Whereas it makes his persona legendary and somewhat remarkable, it makes him not easy to work with unless that said person is either higher in authority or has no choice but to work for him.
Most honorable deed: Hinsei’s most honorable deed was when he joined the original Tenmeigakure order through its founder Oda Rimenshi; his personal gain for it being environmental equality.
Most dishonorable deed: Hinsei’s most dishonorable deed was the murder of his parents, stealing their life force, talents and gifts. And whereas both times were completely unintentional, it started him using his magical ability to continue to murder men and women of extraordinary brilliance in all types of fields to gain their knowledge.
