[This takes place three hours prior to the thread "(Not-So) Ordinary People."]
Oracle appeared inside his briefing room, just coming from his trip to the Tenmeigakure village to alter his... negotiations. Now that he had complete control over the village, he had to establish the newest addition to the Skylight Industries empire.
But how to do it; that was the question.
There was only one mortal employed with Skylight Industries that would take his advancement to heart and move forward with Oracle's decisions. And that mortal was the Vice President, Mercelle DuBois. And besides the fact that a small portion of his ways of thinking were affected by his void magic he entranced him and the past board members before his arrival, Oracle trusted all of the substances of the company since his trips to the celestial realms to the mortal. It was only wise to trust the information of Skylight's personal army to him as well.
With a snap of his fingers, Oracle's void magic created a camera attached to a tripod next to him, facing his chair inside the board room. He zoomed it so that his seat was the only thing the camera picked up. And after he once again went into his Markus Bleache' guise, Oracle pressed the record button, and went to his chair, sitting down.
"Hello, Mercelle," he greeted the camera. "It's me, Markus. By now, you should be in England to take Heather Froyer's place at the department there until her return. I have made this video for you to inform you of two things.
"The first, is that I will be making another leave of absence to take care of some outside business. And if all works accordingly afterward, I'll have more good news when I return. The second however, involves a recent allegiance made with our company.
"Yesterday afternoon, two representatives from a village of warriors came to visit us; the villages leader, Kyoumou Tsurugi, and his representative Tsumasaki Tenshi. This village is called the Tenmeigakure; a powerful village of ninjas, assassins and magic users that apparently have a vendetta against the world's problems. Hoping to escalate their mission and to make the world aware of their presence, they allied themselves with us, making us the 'co-owners,' as you would say.
"However, something tragic happened earlier this morning. It seems that from the burden on Tsurugi's shoulders, he went insane. He set the entire village on fire and killed himself afterward. The elders of the village were able to evacuate most of the population before the village burned to the ground; only about five or ten percent of the population didn't make it out alive. And because of our pact, we -- Skylight Industries -- are the only ones they can rely on.
"And so as CEO of Skylight Industries, I believe that we should keep the late Tsurugi's wishes to heart. The Tenmeigakure under our supervision will continue to make the world a better place. I made sure that the elders of the village will always report to me with every problem; every situation they see wrong with the world. And we will fix it. It's what Tsurugi would have wanted.
"But you must promise me, Mercelle that no one other than yourself will know about our latest expansion to Skylight. We have to make sure that they are ready to police the world through us, meaning that there has to be work to be done in order for them to be deemed ready. And once I know they are ready will be when I will release their existence to the world.
"How will I make sure that they are ready, you ask? There is another organization that threatens this companies existence. They are called the 'Devil Saints.' And while their basis is an underground bounty association, their Intel is that of a world power's government. They could slowly but surely become a hindrance to us, which is why our new 'World Police' will make sure they cease to exist as their... training.
"I know you will not disappoint me, Mercelle. Hopefully you are watching this from England; however, you do not need to inform Heather. I will make sure that she knows all that she needs to know about our... aggressive expansion. I will contact you as soon as I return. Good day."
Oracle stood up and stopped the recording. He released the DVD holding the video footage and snapped his fingers again, only to watch the camcorder disappear as quickly as it emerged. Heading up to Mercelle's office -- already knowing that he would not be present, he placed the DVD in a slim case, and wrote on it with permanent marker, "PLAY ME."
He went into his office closet and saw his empty luggage. He placed the DVD in his carry-on bag, inside a compartment he knew he opened out of habit once he reached his destination. With a smirk, Oracle left the office as it was before his arrival, and headed up to his own; deciding to actually get some work done before he made his leave from this realm and checked in with the Ha-Ou of Heaven, Kouzetsu Gin.
Little Lotty, let your mind wander...
