[Happens after A Little Spar and before This Round is On Me, during Ilreg's imprisonment by Sanada Tomo]
As Taiyou stepped through the portal his sprite opened for him in the Mortal Realm, a strange occurrence began to show itself. The normally smooth transition between inter-dimensional travel, now made difficult, as entering the city of Belialsifer proved to be a difficult task. Taiyou was tossed to the ground, his face and sword hitting the dirt as he was bounced off a a barrier that seemed to halt anyone from entering the city. "What the hell...?" Taiyou said, sitting up rubbing his head.
"Some kind of bullshit barrier, I bounced us out of range of Tomo's palace, we're gonna have to walk their again, that is if we break through." Oni said, using her magic to feel the magical energies used in the barriers construction. "I sense an immense amount of Dark magic, to much for one person to have to themselves, and the other magic is like that shit that bitch through in your face dumb-ass" Oni said, scolding Taiyou further.
"Whatever... We're here now, let's find her and get this over with." Taiyou said, walking up to the barrier, touching it with his hand, the energy a mixture of both pain and excitement. Taiyou closed his eyes and placed his sword onto the barrier, and he and his sprite began the process of attempting to open the barrier to enter the city.
After several minutes, Oni spoke to Taiyou, her words devoid of their usual harshness. "I can open the shit, but only for a fraction of a second. This shit is so ridiculously thick, someone or something is anticipating something big to come. I'm going to have to stretch myself to my limits, and your gonna be on your own until I can resitate myself and my form. So don't fuck around and get killed without me there, you do remember our deal? Oni asked, looking at Taiyou.
"No... don't waste your energy... I'll need you fresh when I take Tomo down." Taiyou said looking at the city. "Just take me somewhere else... anywhere that doesn't have Celestial." Taiyou siad in frustration, looking at the ground. Oni stared at Taiyou and saw that he was serious about yet another supposed retreat, although even less took place this time than their last trip to Hell.
"Fine..." Oni said, opening a portal back to a small town in the Mortal realm. Oni disappered, becoming part of the portal as Taiyou still stood there, looking at the ground. A look of desparate frustration plagued his features, and before he stepped into the portal Taiyou looked back at the city, his eyes full of contempt and loathing.
"I will burn this city to ground when I return here, there won't be a barrier strong enought to keep me out. I'm tired of these games Sanada." Taiyou said, stepping into the barrier and disappering.
