I'm posting this because I realize I've posted it as tidbits in other places on the site, but never explicitly as it's own thread. In terms of killing individuals on the RPG, our stance is thus:
1. You CAN kill your own characters. Why wouldn't you be able to?
2. You CAN kill NPCs. They are non-player characters, and therefore not official. However, I advise you to think carefully before killing an innocent NPC. You can make very powerful enemies out of your fellow RPers for senseless killings.
3. You CANNOT kill the characters of others WITHOUT PERMISSION. The reason for this is simply that it's too much hassle trying to define precise rules for governing this. There's always going to be someone who thinks it isn't fair in some way, and we would rather not lose members over the issue.
4. You CANNOT kill members of Group Accounts WITHOUT ADMIN PERMISSION. If you recall, a Group Account is one whose members are majority NPC. However, as they have made some sort of account for the group, they are somewhat official characters. Instead, you need to petition an admin (either myself or Mei), and one of us (or both, if we are available at the same time or decide to discuss it) will decide whether or not the Group member should be allowed to die.
