Simulation Part 1: Domiel's Defense Force

[Tsubarisu Hotaka]

Hotaka stood in the middle of what used to be Tsubasa's "Purification" laboratory. It was once used to Torture the captured Fallen soldiers that were here in the Fifth Layer. Hotaka had forbidden all but a select few to enter the area and begin renovating it. It had been about 2 years since Hotaka had began preparing his layer for the upcoming war between the Fallen and the Uprights. Turning this laboratory into something useful was his first move.

Many discoveries had been made here both military and for the betterment of the citizens of heaven in general. Hotaka looked across the diligently working Domielites in his care and smiled they were all as anxious as he was to see their equipment tested in battle.

"We are ready to began My Lord." A scientist said with stylus and floating screen ahead of him.

"Let it began then." Hotaka said bowing to the scientist.

At that moment the spacious laboratory became the combination of a reddish-purple sky and steel against steel, gunfire, and cries of anguish could all be heard in the immediate vicinity.

"Sir! Lord Hotaka. The enemy is approximately 25 miles from the Gorious Ocean!....Errr Glorious Ocean." The Soldier said quickly correcting himself at the slight frown given to him by Hotaka.

The Glorious Ocean was nicknamed the Gorious Ocean because of particularly brutal battle that nearly turned the whole ocean red.

"Inform the outpost near the Ocean to ready Defense Number One." Hotaka said to the soldier as he stood at attention listening to the order given.

"Yes Sir." The soldier said as he ran for a nearby vehicle.

"Covert Ops." Hotaka said under his breath.

Appearing in a box formation around Hotaka were four Uprights in black and white. At their sides were the standard Rapier and handgun on each of their heads were a set of binoculars each with four lenses.

"You called My Lord?" One of the COs said to Hotaka telepathically.

"Seek Generals and Officers in the opposing army. I'd like two of you on the ground engaging in Hand to Hand combat. The other two Support them with Precision-Cover-Fire." Hotaka said taking a deep breath and continuing on.

"For those of you on the ground, I permit the Use of Flesh-Render Rapiers. For those of you employing the Use of Precision-Cover-Fire, I permit the use of Farsight scopes, Fallen-Bane ammunition, and Hunter of the Damned Sniper Rifles." Hotaka Ordered and then began his rush to the next area as he saw the COs disappear with a telepathic "Yes Sir."

Hotaka grabbed one of the city guards and told them to usher the citizens into the Aegis.

"I want the city clear in 10 minutes Captain." Hotaka said sternly. He rushed off without so much as a reply from the baffled guard captain.

Hotaka rushed towards a large structure about 35 miles away from the Gates of Domiel. He entered the building and approached a large heavily armored man.

"Captain Defender. The Force is to assume their defensive positions." Hotaka commanded as he quickly left the structure and went across the street to what looked like a newly constructed building. Hotaka entered the building and approached a rather robust man with a large wrench over his shoulder.

"Chief, instruct half of your force to assist the Aegis Force and the other half to insure structural integrity of Domiel itself." Hotaka ordered as he left the building and quickly rushed down the street to the next building.

Hotaka continued on like this for a few hours preparing his forces for what force may lie ahead. After he was finished he rushed out of the gates to assist in the battle to come.

It was something that had been trained for many times over, but only a few occasions actually allowed the Covert Ops Force to actually show their true skills and power.though of course they should be very well feeling distraught and slightly fearful, it was the exact opposite. The Upright Covert Ops Unit of Domiel were very excited and happy.

"We have quite away to go before we get to the Gorious, this could be serious, upon leaving Domiel all units engage Overdrive to quickly cover the distance." Ordered Commander T'soni Blaze.



"Overdrive Commander?" asked one of the operatives unfamiliar with the new function of their suits.



"Private, you mean to tell me that you put this entire team in danger by not paying attention during the Course?" T'soni scolded.

"Don't worry Commander I'll explain it no problem....He's probably just messing around foolishly I might add." The third operative spoke.

"Overdrive is one function of our suits that cloaks us and gives a boost of speed, so its very efficient for covering long distances in a short amount of time while maintaining stealth. Our suits are also made of a special material that gives us the ability to use our psychic abilities to augment our strength and speed. Meaning that without these suits we'd just be regular psychics. They even help us cloak." The other operative explained.

"Well done Private," T'soni began.

"but what I dint understand is if he was only messing around, why did you have to explain the whole thing to him?" She finished glaring at both of her subordinates as they were walking towards the gates.

The fourth private was new to this unit having been assigned to T'soni's unit as soon as he began to show psychic capabilities.

"How about you tell us Commander, about our Rifles and Ammunition?" He asked earnestly.

T'soni looked over at her 3rd subordinate and let a sigh of frustration. She couldn't really be mad at him because she could tell that he actually wasn't just trying to keep the others out of trouble he actually wanted to know....There was no way T'soni could pass up a discussion on weaponry though.

"OK all of you bastards listen up because seeing as how we're almost out of Domiel I only have time to explain this once." T'soni said glaring at her subordinates.

T'soni pulled the large seemingly unwieldy sniper rifle off of her back as easily as one would lift a piece of paper. Showing the rifle to her subordinates T'soni began to speak.

"This is the Hunter of the Damned Sniper Rifle." She began.



"So far we are the only Domiel Military Unit allowed to use this type of weaponry. This thing weighs about 271.4 pounds. Meaning that not only is it good for shooting, but" T'soni said flipping the gun around and grabbing it by the barrel and pushing a few buttons.

"it also makes a good bludgeoning hand to hand weapon."

"Note that this should only be used as a final resort, we still have our rapiers." T'soni said smiling and gesturing to the blade at her side.

"Yeah thats all well and good Commander, but what about the Ammo?" The first private asked.

"Ah yes, the most important part. The Fallenbane Ammunition is a combination of our Modern Science and Law magic mixed with a bit holy magic." T'soni began.

"It was created by one of our scientists who worked closely with Ikasu, the scientist who works directly under our Hallowed Protector Kouzetsu Gin. Upon expulsion from the chamber of our rifles, the bullet spins so rapidly and is so hot that it thins out into the shape of a pin needle. It enters the body of an enemy Fallen and rapidly expands, releasing the Holy Magic with the bodies of the Fallen. Depending on the Bullet the Law magic can serve to Silence, Immobilize, or flat out kill the target." T'soni said taking a deep breath to began again.

"Commander as much as we're enjoying our lecture....We're at the gates." Shouldn't we engage Overdrive and get to the Ocean?" The first operative said sarcastically.

It was true they were at the brilliant gates of Domiel and it was time for them to set off on their mission. They stood at the gates and looked around at what they had hoped wouldn't be their last moment in Domiel. As a soldier one could never be to sure about that, but T'soni and her troops were ready to die for Hotaka and Domiel. They had families to protect as well as a way of life. That was worth dying for more than anything else.

"Everyone, Engage Overdrive and lets take these bastards down before they reach the Gates." T'soni said as her and her team disappeared and speed off towards the Glorious Ocean.

The minute Hotaka left the young Upright Angel shook his head laughingly. It wasn't everyday he was mistaken for a woman....Especially because he wasn't. nor did he even resemble one. Suddenly his laughter turned to a mixture of fear and anxiousness. If Hotaka was so busy that he would mistake his male subjects for his female ones, then surely this was a very dire situation.

He ran through the Halls of Aegis Tower, which was the housing and development center for the Aegis Defense force. The Aegis Defense force would finally be able to test their mettle against an opposing force. The young Defender had memorized all three of the defensive formations. Phalanx, Tower, and Sheathe. Suddenly the Defender ran into a wall and fell flat on his back. he shook the stars from his head and stood up when the room stopped spinning.

Upon standing and looking in front of him, he noticed this wasn't a wall at all, though it wasn't too far from it. What or should he say who he had just run into was the one and only High Defender Jessica Truth.



"Watch were you're going. A Defender never loses his or her balance. A Defender stands strong. A Defender does not fall for that is not his Duty. A Defender Defends, and a Defender cannot Defend while laying upon his back." Truth said glaring at the poor Defender standing before her.

"I am sorry High Defender. I shall practice my bracing exercises later." The young Defender said standing with his Hallowed Warhammer in hand.



"I received word from Lord Hotaka, and we are to Defend Domiel on today for a we are approached from the Glorious Ocean." The Defender reported.

Jessica scratched her chin thoughtfully then looked up and smiled. Through her body she too felt the joy of defending rise up inside of her. Caressing her soul like a mother to a newborn child. Standing before your enemy and smirking as their eyes widen in fear at the sight of the attacks being rendered useless against the Armor of Justice.

"Notify the others the we are to stand at the beginning stages of the Phalanx Formation 200 feet in front of Domiel." Jessica instructed.

"Straightaway High Defender." The young Defender said as he ran down the hall.

He reached the Broadcast system and summoned everyone to the front of Domiel. He himself scrambled out of the building and on his way to the front gates sent a message to the medics quarters.

Within minutes everyone was in their positions and ready to defend Domiel. The stood Valiantly waiting on the upcoming challenge. Jessica Truth walked to the front and begin to speak.


"We are Defenders. If we properly do our jobs, the Engineers should never have to raise their wrenches, Nothing should need preparing. IF we do our jobs, a medic should be busier than ever. WE,WE are Defenders, we never fall, we never tore, WE PERSEVERE, FOR WE ARE RESILIENT, WE ARE JUST, WE ARE THE LIGHT, AND MOST OF ALL OUR SHIELDS ARE THE WALLS OF DOMIEL!

With that Jessica truth stepped back into formation while her troops cheered. She watched the horizon and saw black storm clouds forming.

Wound-Mender Amelia Tournique was a kind and benevolent woman who spent many hours in her lab in medical district of Domiel. She was an accomplished surgeon both physically and Magically and truly enjoyed her job. One of the things she liked most was battle field healing. It was fun to crouch down in the middle of a fight over a dying soldier and bring him back to fighting condition. Many times had she smiled as the looks on the faces of the soldiers she tended mid battle changed from agonizing pain, to a smile of pure relief.

Amelia's true passion was Medicine, but she longed for the battlefields that she had come to love. Which is why she was in such a good mood. She had just received word of an assault on Domiel and she had already donned her battle medic armor. She checked her pouch of tourniquets and Syringes as well as her pouch of many medical incantation scrolls. Armed with those and her latent healing ability she was ready to assist her Layer.She floated down the hallway and out the door. Her squadron of battle medics stood at attention.

All of them bore the emblem of the Undying Sun on their shields.

"Alright everyone. Its time to save lives!" Amelia shouted as she rushed to the gates of her beloved city.
