It had taken all night to look for it...but it was gone. A prized necklace worn at a casual party which probably was worth more than everyone who had been there! Things were so unfair!
Claudia pouted as she sat on the couch, her room vacated from the night's events. The room was a mess--she would clean it later. She had class in the morning, and she didn't have time to go around accusing people of stealing from her. She'd just pay someone else to do it!
There had been an entry in the phone book, and she thought that he would be here right now. She had told her father, and she was willing to put it on her credit card...that should solve everything.
She tapped her fingers on her couch impatiently; waiting for the representative to arrive! They were already late!

Abbadon looked at the door. Room 209. He checked the number his secretary at the Devil Saint's gave him on a small piece of paper. Room 209.
God damn it...
Abbadon didn't really feel like doing this. The last time he decided to do some actual work, he ended up going unconscious, finding out that he had a dog trapped in his sword, his best friend was gay in a past life and almost blowing up half of Tokyo, Japan! Should he really be taking this job?!
Abbadon smirked. He undid the screw on the "9" and let it drop, creating a "6." He placed his hands in his pocked as he chuckled.
"Well, would you look at that," he said with no exuberance in his voice. "I seemed to have found the wrong room. I guess I should just go back home and..."
<Don't you dare, master,> he heard Roiyaru say in his mind. <Now you knock on that door and cater to your client!>
Abbadon scowled. How the hell was he able to know what he was doing? He was all the way back at headquarters!
<Bad dog,> Abbadon said in retaliation as he turned around to face the door. <No biscuits for you!>
And with a sigh and a roll of his eyes, Abbadon knocked on the door three times...

Claudia was pleasantly surprised. The man who had knocked on her door was not fat, was not eating anything, and didn't show up dressed like flith. "You're the detective guy, right?" she said. "Yeah. I've lost something...and I need you find it. As you can probably tell, this is a college campus. That means that you'll have to look around a bit, if you didn't notice. But then again, you don't look that dumb...or ugly, either. I thought all detectives were old guys? Oh, well. Anyway, I'm Claudia, by the way, and the only way that you'll get the money I'm offering is if you find the necklace." Basically, she had managed to tell him everything that he needed to know in the introduction. She really didn't want to be caught speaking to what she considered help, but she kept a bright, slightly flirtatious smile on her face. Guys tended to work much faster and more quickly when they had some incentive.

Abbadon's eyes widened when a chick opened the door. A very hot chick. Like "I could actually have a decent conversation with you while I'm boning the fuck out of you" kinda hot chick.
He took a quick scan of the uh...situation in front of him. The fact that her...pajama shirt? Sure, let's go with that. The fact that her pajama shirt was tailored to fit her waist like perfectly did not help the situation in his pants at all, which was conveniently covered by Abbadon's white T-Shirt and the bottom part of his coat. And only after the survey was complete did his ability to hear start to pick up again.
"...Anyway, I'm Claudia, by the way, and the only way that you'll get the money I'm offering is if you find the necklace."
Abbadon blinked for a few times. Did she say what I think she just say? he thought. PLEEEAAASE tell me she said what I think she just said!
But Abbadon thought about why he was here, in which case, he heard the phrase correctly in his head.
"Oh," he said, "yeah. The money. Right; the money..."
He walked into the dorm room and squinted his eyes.
FUCK!

Claudia stood back as the guy abruptly pushed his way into her dorm, caught off guard. She hadn't thought that she would actually have to talk to him about anything...but the more that she thought about it, the more that it made sense. She hadn't given him any details about the necklace yet, and he didn't know who she thought the main suspects were yet.
She sighed, and crossed her arms. "Okay, well, I just wanted you to know that the necklace is silver, with pieces of genuine jade in it. It's very distinct, because the largest piece is in the center." A thought occurred to her that she had never thought about before. "I hope you don't try to grab my necklace and just leave. If you don't report back to me by the morning, I'll sue you and your company. Not that I'm saying you would, but just to let you know. Is there anything else that I need to tell you?"
She retreated into the room behind the man, collapsing on her couch after closing the door behind her.

Abbadon decided not to look at Claudia anymore. That was only because if he did, he was gonna have to fuck her. Like seriously; whenever a chick as hot as Claudia is wearing nothing but a... pajama shirt, she's basically begging for a visit from the old chimney sweep.
Wow, Abbadon thought. That was a very bad Marry Poppins reference...
But all in all, Abbadon listened to the description of the necklace, which basically told him that her father was Daddy-frickin'-Warbucks. But she had an odd mix of a blond party girl mentality and a brunette smart girl mentality; that completely threw him off.
Still not looking at her, Abbadon chuckled when Claudia brought up the idea of him making off with the necklace. He could catch a drop of venom in her voice, which of course made Abbadon start thinking about fucking this chick's brains out even more. He started thinking if she was into anything kinky, if she was a moaner, if she gave good head or not; it all came rather fast.
God damn it; no pun intended.
"Is there anything else that I need to tell you?" he heard her ask.
"Um..." Abbadon said out loud, trying his best not to look at her since he could kinda tell that she was behind him. "Is there like... anyone you know that could have wanted the necklace for themselves? I mean, this is a college campus; you could have some "jealous bitches" that might find you intimidating and would have taken it to get back at you or something..."

"They ALL hate me here," Claudia said, "even my sisters do. This college is very prestigious because we are good at covering it up. I would tell you to look anywhere that you can't get caught looking. I know that one of them stole it, probably one of my sisters. They're scattered throughout the building, of course, so you'll have to find them. don't worry, you should be able to know which are my sisters, of course, because we ARE quadruplets, after all. The rest of the students will be crystal clear."
Claudia filed her nails, blowing the dust from them as she got them in the right place. "Well, check in to let me know how things are going. There are plenty of parties tonight, so everyone will be out and doing stuff. You should see and meet many people. Oh..."
She moved to the back of the room, bending over to reach to the back of a shelf, pulling out what looked like a keychain on a lanyard. "it's a guess pass. You should get into everything with this. Just don't take it with you when you leave. Find my necklace."

"They ALL hate me here," he heard Claudia say. That was all it took for Abbadon to roll his eyes and sigh in frustration. As soon as she said that, it told Abbadon that everyone now was a suspect, making his job all the more difficult. But the feeling of "pissed offed-ness" was immediately replaced with something else as he continued to hear Claudia speak.
"Don't worry, you should be able to know which are my sisters, of course," she said with that awkward blond accent of hers, "because we ARE quadruplets, after all."
Abbadon's eyes widened as his overactive imagination started to produce thoughts that should only be allowed by a horny man's fan-fic. He closed his eyes tight, still standing with his back turned to her.
Think about Baseball, think about Baseball...
Once Abbadon got control of himself, he heard Claudia start to talk about the nights festivities on campus. By that time, Abbadon gathered the courage to turn around and look at his client, who was apparently filing her nails.
"There are plenty of parties tonight, so everyone will be out and doing stuff," she said. "You should see and meet many people. Oh..."
Abbadon watched unexpectedly as Claudia moved to the back of the room. Unfortunately for Abbadon - who had just tamed his sudden horniness - Claudia decided she wanted to bend over, allowing Abbadon to see her Shijin-crafted ass.
Once again, Abbadon's eyes widened. He started sweating something awful and started to silently pant.
Damn Damn Damn Damn Damn DAMN!!!
She stood back up and held out a lanyard. "It's a guess pass," she said. "You should get into everything with this. Just don't take it with you when you leave. Find my necklace."
Abbadon grabbed it by the string and used the hand that wasn't covering the bulge in his pants with his coat to put it around his neck.
"Um, thanks," he said to her. Using the same hand, he pointed toward the door.
"I should... probably get... um,... yeah," he said as he headed for the door.

Claudia smirked. She wasn't completely clueless. She had gotten what she wanted out of the deal--she would get her neckace back, and she could also reassure herself that she could get any man wrapped around her finger if she wanted.
"If you come back before morning, I'll give you something extra for your trouble," she added as he walked toward the door. She knew that his mind would give him more than something to think about as far as that was concerned. She turned away from Abbadon, heading straight to her bedroom. She would have to get her beauty rest before class in the morning.

Abbadon's eyes started to blink like crazy. The statement Claudia mentioned completely froze him in place. He didn't even get a chance to grab the god-damn door knob! He watched her head back into her bedroom as he forced his hand to grab the door knob.
You know better, Abbadon, he thought to himself. You need to get the fuck... out of this room... RIGHT NOW... before you do something you're going to regret. Find this damn necklace, and if she's serious about what the fuck she just said, just remember that you have an emergency condom in your wallet as we speak. NOW OPEN THE GOD-DAMN DOOR!!!
With all the willpower his race of angels were supplied, Abbadon quickly opened the door and got the fuck out of there. Leaning his back against the door, he started to breathe like he was a human that just woke up from a killer-ass nightmare. That was when he said it.
"Why is it always me?!?!?!"

There was a strange sound outside, and Aymie stepped outside just as it sounded. She wasn't really sure what was going on; she could only assume that it was another one of Claudia's hissy fits. That girl needed to chill, seriously. This time, it appeared that Claudia's woes involved a guy. Something that she was not used to seeing in the dorm; Claudia usually knew how to keep her issues quiet from the people who ran the university, but she supposed and anyone was allowed an off day. "Why is it always me?!?!?!" Aymie sighed. She was on her way to her own outing, but he looked so sad. "You look like you're having a bit of trouble. Is Claudia being mean?" she asked, knowing that Claudia wasn't really capable of being nice.

Abbadon's attention was immediately caught by the chick that approached her, obviously hearing his latest statement. She was definitely an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. And even though he picked up a "daddy's little rich girl" vibe from her just like he did his client, Abbadon was a little bit thrown off that she actually cared enough to talk to him. All in all, Abbadon could only sum up the appearance of this jail bait in one word.
"Huh?" he said, trying to comprehend what she was talking about and not find his eyes down her waistline. "Oh! Yeah, Claudia! Right, the chick in there. I-I'm just helping her find something she lost; no big deal."
At the same time Abbadon was scouting her out like a fuckin' hawk, he remembered something his hot-ass client told her...
"There are plenty of parties tonight, so everyone will be out and doing stuff. You should see and meet many people."
Abbadon cocked his head a bit, and smirked at the rich chick in front of him.
"Say, are you doing anything tonight?" he said as he extended his hand. "The name's Abbadon."

Aymie wasn't sure if this guy was trying to come onto her, or if he really was attempting to help Claudia with something. God help him if he was. Claudia probably wasn't going to give him anything for it, the poor guy. She did feel sorry for him, but she didn't know what it was that Claudia had lost, let alone where it could have been.
It took her a moment, but Aymie eventually pieced the puzzle together. "...she thinks someone in the dorm stole it, then?" she asked. "I know you're the one who's supposed to be asking questions, I guess, but that wouldn't make any sense. Claudia's a bitch, but who would want anything that's hers? Well...I guess that's underestimating how terrible some of the girls are here..."
Blinking, she realized that she hadn't answered the man's question. "I am going to a party. It's a bit smaller than that, actually, but that's the gist of it. It's ages 21 and up, though. You have to be old enough..." Claudia had a habit of picking on underaged boys, so Aymie was just making sure.
"If you want me to introduce you to some of the other women in the dorm, I suppose that I could..." Aymie trailed off. "If anything, I would think that one of Claudia's sisters could have taken it. They're all different, and the other three don't like Claudia very much. Truth be told, none of us really likes Claudia that much..." she said.

Abbadon smirked at the chicks idea of introducing him to some of the other girls there. Not only would this be a good way to find out who stole the tease's necklace, but Abbadon could actually have some fun for a change. Unlike the last few weeks of him being a member of the Devil Saints. I mean, who would have guessed that on your first week of work, you'd end up having to save all of frickin' Tokyo from a bomb of chaotic magic?!
This was definitely more his cup of Joe...
"Oh believe me," Abbadon chuckled. "I'm old enough. Besides; a party means people. And people means me having a better chance at finishing my job. I need a drink anyway."
His smirk turned into a smile; at least his attempt at a debonair one. He looked at her and rose his eyebrows.
"I still didn't get your name," he said as he walked with her.

"I'm Aymie," the girl said, beginning to exit the door, hoping that the young man was following. "Well," she added, "The party is on campus, so you won't have to go that far. I hope that some of the people there will be of help. if I recall correctly, a lot of people left Claudia's place to go, so many some of them actually saw the piece that you're looking for." Heading down to the end of the hall, shs stopped at the elevator, pressing the 'down' button. He would have to hold his own at the party, though. he seemed like a pretty decent guy, so maybe the fact that Claudia had hired him wasn't quite as bad an omen as she had first thought.
Once they climbed into the elevator, she stared ahead at the door until they arrived on the first floor, her feet stepping out of the elevator as soon as the doors opened. Exiting the building, she led the guy across a large grassy quad, the moon shining rather brightly. "So, she asked, "What's your story?" She was trying to pass the time before they got to the frat house.

Well, that was good to know, Abbadon thought when the chick named Aymie told her about the possible people that could have the necklace being at this party.
Aymie. That was a cute name. Call it a hunch, but Abbadon could kinda guess that it wasn't necessarily spelled the way you usually spell the name. I mean, come on; she was obviously above middle-class and nice; those two never exist in the same person nowadays. Plus, she was hot! That instantly allows you to spell a common name in an uncommon fashion.
Well, now that you mention it, that allows you to do a lot more than that too...
"I... like to help people," Abbadon told Aymie plainly as they walked across the grass outside. "In any way I can that's either legal or not too weird." He chuckled at his own joke, because he knew it was a bit too corny for the babe next to him to laugh too. He put his hands in his pockets and looked ahead.
"I'm kinda like a go-to guy," he told her. "You have a problem, I help fix it."
He scaled the chick named Aymie once again, smiling when he reached her face.
"So," he said. "What's your sign -- er, I mean major here?"
He looked away.
How the hell did I fuck that one up?!

Aymie was not impressed at all. He seemed rather like an average guy from an average town, one that apparently couldn't stop drooling over her in this case. He said that he was a go-to guy, but it seemed more like the scenario was that he was forced to be the go-to guy because no one else was around. He was trying very hard to be smooth, and Aymie managed her best complimentary smile as they reached a building made entirely out of bricks, painted white, decorated with greek-inspired columns for support. The frat house. She would go ahead and get him in, but only because he seemed like for all of his tomfoolery, he actually was trying to do the right thing.
As they approached the door, a hired bouncer waved hello to her and simply glared at Abbadon. "He's with me," she added, continuing to walk in without looking back. The atmosphere inside wasn't too loud--everyone seemed to still be relaxing and no one had gotten drunk enough to do some thing stupid. Good. She had gotten there at just the right time.
"Well, you're on your own now," Aymie said. "I got you in here, so I hope that you can talk to enough people to find what your need to. See ya."
