Augustus rubbed his sore muscles that he acquired from his long day from training before walking into a secluded pond to refresh in. He hadn't realized how tough the training was but he was glad to be away from the palace. After all the training that he has to go through, he would be promoted to a Captain before he could take his test to become a Major.
His sprite, Adrian, had been having fun the entire time and even now being in the water. Augustus watched as he transformed into a fish and went off swimming. It reminded him how he found Adrian in the river in a weaken condition while he was at some national park in the Mortal Realm. He needed time away from being cooped up in that one mortal's apartment. He also needed to be more human, as his roommate would say. But that was because his roommate thought he was a vampire from sleeping all day and going out at night. Augustus always laughed whenever he said that, if only he knew what he was really doing. He would say that he out working his midnight job however, he was really working on the guy, helping him dream.
That was another story though, Adrian state was a poor one. He was in a fish form looking as he was gasping for air, like he had been thrown into a body of water he was not accustomed to. Augustus immediately felt compelled to help the little guy out and managed to find a large ziplock bag to carry him back home. He had asked his roommate if he knew what kind of fish he was and they ended finding out that he was some saltwater fish after some time searching what the mortal called the internet.
After some needed TLC for the fish, Adrian was shocked when he had walked into the living room to see a guy sitting on the couch as if he had been living there the whole time. He started to yell at the guy, asking who he was and how he got into the apartment. But the guy got up and raised his hand to silence him.
"You can call me whatever you like since you have helped me out. My previous master had died tragically and so I had no choice but hide in my fish form to try to recuperate from the wounds that I have received for protecting my master. I had no idea that I my injuries were so severe and I am thankful that you were kind enough to come to my aid. For that, you are my new master now." The fish man bowed to Augustus who could do nothing but hold a confused look on his face.
Since then though, he come to know that he was a water sprite and gave his name Adrian. He was thankful that Adrian has been able to help exercise his water abilities but they weren't enough to keep them sharp.
Augustus realized that he it was getting late now, the sky begun to turn from red and orange from the sunset, to the purple and black color. The stars were popping up as well, twinkling in way that he knew was of Na'ame influences. He got out of the water to get dressed and Adrian followed suit, reverting back into his fae like form to reflect how his master look. They both then took off towards their tent to get some rest before they start their training again in the morning.
