Sean Colton was doing research, a glass of scotch in his left hand and flipping pages with the other. There was a cigarette in his mouth, unlit because it was his last one. The pages were in a small green folder, clippings from old newspapers in the left pocket and typed reports in the right. This was proof, here in his hands that the world was changing.
File Number: Restricted
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Subject: Reynolds Thompson-Bleater
Case Description:
Thompson, aged 17, was spotted by school officials demonstrating the ability to control objects telepathically, an ability known as telekinesis. Authorities at the school were alerted to the issue and phychiatric tests were administered in an appropriate facility. While the child was confirmed to be of sound mind, the school did not feel comfortable allowing such a gifted student to remain there, possibly because his endowment could possibly injure other students. Other students were asked if they had acquired abilities like Thompson, but none stepped forward and after medical tests on Thompson that took place later, it did not appear as though there were any biological signs from those who develop abilities like his.
The government in this particular location opened a project specifically for the development of Thompson-Bleater's abilities. It is believed that he may yet be an asset for this country. Tests have revealed that the boy's abilities are limited to telekinesis; he shows no skill for any other mental abilities.
There have been a number of cases similar and some a bit more bizzare than this, but with recent reports of people of this caliber surfacing around the world a closer look was decided to look at this particular specimen.
