Tsubasa wasn't sure at all of what to make of her discovery. What she hadn't told Tsubarisu at the wreckage of the facility was that Nayame had apparently nested her secret lab without her knowledge. Yes, Tsubasa had commissioned the creation of a chamber beneath her facility, complete with nine doors for safety. But she had never gotten to use it. It had only been shortly after she had been brought back in this body that she had made the trip that revealed the settlement in her correctional facility instead.
Tsubasa--newly resurrected at the time that she made the find--did not want to go looking into Nayame's things at the moment; there were too many changes going on with Kingships, including the false King Yamazaki Ren and the human Hishikawa Tohru, and she would have preferred to work on her own without people poking into her business. There was no way of knowing for sure how exactly Nayame had gotten the confidential permission to secret do work in Tsubasa's personal lab, but she had no choice but to give Nayame some credit; however it was done, it had been done well, and Tsubasa had died without ever knowing that it was there. Ironically, it was due to whatever research that Nayame was doing that she had been brought back.
In the meantime since she and Tsubarisu had retrieved that girl from the lab--the one who had seemingly hatched from an egg--Tsubasa had spent her spare moments reading up on as much of Nayame's research as possible. She wanted to know how she was brought back to life and she had been clear that she was interested in that sort of information from the moment that she had done so. Unfortunately for her, the servant who had performed the process was now dead because of the exchange rule for the Spirit. Idiot. The spirit for the body that she was in now had already been confiscated, and the servant hadn't known that, not wielding spirit magic in the first place...there were so many missing pieces. Tsubasa, however, was determined to put them together and figure out how to start bringing others back. She didn't care if it cost the lives of hundreds of infidels or traitors, but her loyal soldiers deserved to be restored to their former glory. Everyone was of the opinion that Nayame's knowledge had died with her, but Tsubasa was going to disprove that as well.
The doll at the site was the only lead that she had, and Tsubasa was going to get what she could out of the thing. While machines were not something that she preferred to work with, she was familiar with interacting with them enough to make this work. The thing was shaped like a girl, of course, but the thing said and did nothing without prompt, despite being glad to do whatever was asked of her after receiving one. Tsubasa ad been busy right after finding it but with things settling down after her assessment of productivity, she supposed that it was the appropriate time to further her research on the...thing. The girl-figure was escorted to Tsubasa's private chambers and instructed to sit in a chair across from Tsubasa's desk.
"Who or what are you?" Tsubasa began, once she'd gotten the doll into a well guarded room." She had stationed Devlin outside with the request to use his Chaos magic to degenerate the sound currents of their voices so that they were no longer discernible. It shouldn't have been hard, even for a servant like him--when the spirit wasn't reigning in his power even flowers withered in this presence. Tsubasa's guards had not been personally picked or trained by her, in any case, and she did not trust them completely. In the old days, she would have told Devlin to melt the ears of anyone trying to listen in on her private conversation, but these were different times and Gin would not well receive the news of the wanton injury of capable Celestials.
"I am Android Model D-A76, also known as Deus Alpha or Final Deus Alpha." Despite the revelation of what she was, her voice was clear and believable. There was not a hint that her voice was artificial in any way.
"You do not look like an Android at all." Tsubasa bit her tongue to keep herself from asking the most obvoius question--why was thiswoman considered a Deus if she was not living flesh and bone? Nayame had been speaking about bringing the dead back to life, so why...? In addition to that, Tsubasa herself was Deus Alpha. What was the meaning of this?
"I am not supposed to. My creator committed many years of research to constructing my current form."
"Was your 'Creator' Aoki Nayame?"
"Yes."
Tsubasa was not sure where this was going. She was sure that there was something important that she was missing. There was no doubt that there were some lies and cover-ups going on here. Could this android had been configured to keep a secret from her? This was the only thing left of Nayame's career, dammit! She was going to break this lock and get the information she wanted if it killed her!
"Did you get to meet your Creator?" Tsubasa inquired.
"Yes. Several times."
"Do you hold any knowledge about her experiments or her goals?"
"Loading Identification System..." was the girl's response."Please wait..." This took Tsubasa off guard not because of what it was saying, but because it was still using that casual, upbeat voice. Only the fact that she was using such instructions at all let on to the fact that she was a computer. "Name?" the android requested.
"Mikage Tsubasa of the Fifth," Tsubasa answered automatically, but she was becoming more angry by the moment--Stop this. Just tell me what--"
"Proof of Identification?"
Tsubasa sighed, grinding her teeth. Clearly she was not going to get what she wanted. "I don't have any such proof! Nayame was dead by the time that I was resurrected! My old prints--"
"Insufficient proof of identity. Access Denied."
"Like I didn't see that one coming," Tsubasa spat. "Do you know who is allowed access?"
"That answer is confidential." The girl smiled, as though to mock her. If she wasn't a relic Tsubasa would have called Devlin into the room to put an end to her.
The Elder ran angry fingers through her hair, violently digging into her scalp. "Who is the last Ha-ou on record?"
"Miyazawa Chiyo of the Seventh Heaven. Nikko-ou."
That information was definitely incorrect, but it concurred with the status of the Realm when Tsubasa had been killed. Now she was getting somewhere. Tsubasa didn't correct her, however. "Who are the most recent Kings that you have on record?" She knew what the answer was going to be, but she wanted to have it confirmed.
"Miyazawa Chiyo of the Seventh; Ryo Fi of the Sixth; Moeru Itsuki of the Fifth; Shirogane Setsuna of the Fourth; Aizawa Sasuke of the Third; Arima Inu of the Second; Aoki Nayame of the First."
Tsubasa nodded. "I see." Soon after, she dismissed the doll. She no longer had any choice--she was going to have to approach Gin with this information. If her hunch was right, she was sure that there was a way to crack this thing.
