Character Information
Name(Meaning): Chiyo Miyazawa Chiyo means a thousand sparkles; forever in Japanese
Age: In her early thirties
Lineage:
Relatives: As a human she doesn't have any relatives that she knows of. She considers the people she's grown to know as her family.
Ranks/Titles: Nothing besides Ms. Miyazawa at her job in a bookstore.
Realm: The mortal realm.
Pacts: She stills feel a connection with her magic. It's not her light magic, but Sacre Mot. The magic of humans. She thought she left magic behind when she was bought back to life, but she didn't object when she felt that familiar tug. She doesn't use it often, but she knows it's there.
Special Abilities: People tend to gravitate towards her. When Hikari takes over many people tend to step away.
Allegiance: Her children, her new home, her friends, the few people she remembers, and an older couple she helps out from time to time.
Race: Human
Birthdate: As a human June 8 (a gemini fitting for her connection with Hikari)
Birthplace: The records for her body says Osaka, Japan.
Sexuality: Bisexual
Significant Other: No one at the moment. She has a couple of dates, but nothing serious. Tomo tends to float in her mind from time to time much to Hikari's chagrin.
Personality: She's gentle, kind, firm when it's necessary, and understanding. She's less naive now than when she was an angel and tends to think things through a bit. Although she still has her trusting nature Hiakri stops her before she does anything too foolish. She still finds it hard to stay mad at someone for a long time. Hikari on the other hand doesn't feel that way. Hikari can hold a grudge until she feels that person deserves her trust again.
Chiyo is surprised that Hikari is still with her after being bought back to life. She doesn't mind she wouldn't feel complete if she didn't have Hikari. Hikari helps her with the new stresses of human life such as bills, sickness, and trying to keep a job. It's not uncommon for humans to have another side so Chiyo doesn't worry about it.
History: Her life as an angel is very detailed and rich. After she's revived Setsuna and Satori tells her what's going on in Heaven. Although Heaven’s plight concerned her, she was more concerned about her children. She wanted to see them more than anything. She did feel anger, hurt, and sadness over her death, but that slowly started to ebb in time. No matter how angry she became she couldn't hate Tomo. She had time to think about his actions and she understood his reasoning behind it.
Hikari, however, did not feel the same. She hates Tomo after causing Chiyo so much pain. She wants to kill him. She feels that's the only way for him to pay for his actions. She hates that Chiyo can understand him so easily. She riles up whenever Tomo's name is mentioned. She becomes angry when Chiyo thinks of him. She becomes bloodthirsty when Chiyo pictures him. Chiyo is trying to calm Hikari down, but it's working slowly. She’s gotten Hikari to stop sharing her more creative plans, but that’s as much progress she’s made.
Once she calmed Hikari and her body became strong enough she asked to see her children. She remembers seeing Tomo, but she doesn’t remember any interaction with him. It was hard being around his presence with Hikari screaming of various ways to kill him, but she was able to do it. Heaven was shocked to know she was back. They waited for her retaliation against Hell for her death. She didn’t want to do anything for she felt it would only increase the cycle of violence. Heaven was outraged at her lack of action. They tried to get her to retaliate, but she only demanded for one thing her children.
She wanted full custody, which Tomo gave her without hesitation. After receiving her children she left to the mortal realm. Only keeping contact with Setsuna and few others. She received help from the family of the body she inhabited. She took a job at a bookstore/café working during the day when her children were in school. Her life as a human was difficult at first. She had to remember to pay her bills or she would lose her home. She had to keep her health up so she could be there for her girls. She noticed her emotions came to her easily, but they were hard to push away. However, she was determined not to give up on her new life.
After awhile she got the hang of things. She fell into a comfortable routine she changed from time to time. She enjoyed playing with the girls, meeting new people, and making new friends. Hikari kept her eyes open for any suspicious people nudging Chiyo away if she sensed danger. She even found time to start the girls on their beginning magic lessons. She doesn't want them to get involved in Heaven's politics, but she doesn't mind teaching them magic. She felt the familiar pulse of magic in the girls a couple of months after settling in the mortal realm.
She didn't think twice about it considering she had Yamiko and Minako when she was an angel. She felt their father played a role in this as well. She talked it over with Hikari who decided on the decision to teach the girls magic. She didn't want them confused about the pull they would eventually feel. Hikari at first was apprehensive about the girls learning magic. After thinking about it for awhile she resolved that she didn't want the girls to be confused about something that is a part of them.
Once they arrived at an agreement Chiyo waited for the day the girls were old enough to understand. When that day arrived she answered all the questions they had. She explained the basic concepts of magic giving them a choice at the end of her explanation. They could continue to learn more about magic or not learn any at all. Yamiko, her innate curiosity stronger out of the two, wanted to learn more. Minako wanted to know more so she wouldn't be confused. She doesn't like to be confused.
Chiyo agreed she was happy they wanted to learn more. She let the girls continue helping them along the way. She talks about hiring a tutor for them one day with Hikari. Hikari is open to the idea, but wants the girls to know more magic first.
Juggling her daily duties along with magic lessons does tire her out, but she couldn't be happier. Human life is new to her, but she’s taking it one day at a time.
Strengths: Questioning nature and Hikari’s knowledge of using common items as weapons
Weaknesses: Her trusting, understanding nature.
Most honorable deed: Keeping the bookstore open while a customer waited for their ride.
Most dishonorable deed: Upsetting the twins when she was tired. She felt bad afterwards and made it up to them.
Likes: cute things, sweets, reading, drawing, any other thing that is fun and/or relaxing.
Dislikes: When Hikari goes on one of her violent rants, when Hikari becomes over protective, very spicy foods, sour candies, when Hikari tries to take over forcefully in the name of her safety, bills, getting sick, and being irritated.
Aspirations: For her children to have a good life and to get all she can out of life as a human. She wants to go through life as stress free as possible.
