[This thread takes place during the Inspection, after the confrontation between Gin and Rosey]
Not wasting anytime, Gin promptly changed into another shirt and replaced his spectacles onto his face before venturing out of his tent, his rolled parchment outlining the military procedures and protocols under his arm as he paced to the brig, where Rosey was being held after their earlier altercation. His boots and pants were still partially scorched, and small amounts of ash lay in his hair, and soot remained on his face, but other than the wear and tear of his appearance, Gin was in relatively no pain, his physical exertion more taxing than any damage Rosey attempted to inflict upon him. As he approached the sanctified tent, he nodded to the two guards, who saluted to him upon sight, and cleared his throat to speak to them.
"I will need you to place two chairs inside the tent along with a table and a carafe of fresh water. Also bring two glasses, set on the table with the water, and place the prisoner who should be bound in her chair, I will wait here until you are completed, after which you will remain on guard here, as you were, allowing no one save for Erato herself to enter. Do I make myself clear?" Gin said sharply to the two Fae soldiers. His mind still teetered on what was to become of Rosey, his own guilt tugging at him as far as her possible expulsion, but his face betrayed no insight as to such profound thought.

The soldiers nodded their acknowledgment and set off to bring the table, chairs, water and cups as requested. This task was completed in no time simply because it was an easy one and they did it as quickly as they could to avoid any altercation with him after seeing what happen to one of their one. However, bringing the prisoner was a difficult one and not because she put up a fight. They had to dragged her, each carrying an arm while her feet dragged across the ground since she no longer had the energy to move.
Once inside the tent, they sat her down in her chair to bound her not realizing that she was still pain. She winced when her back made contact with the back of the chair but she found that if she leaned forward it would provide some sort of comfort. She sat there, all fight in her was gone and her dark hair partially covered the look of defeat on her face as she stared at the table. After the soldiers checked to make sure she was secured in her seat, they returned to their post outside the tent. "She's ready sir."

"My thanks..." Gin said, giving a sharp salute the guards, stepping inside of the tent, assuring the flap was closed behind him. Taking no chances of this conversation being intercepted, Gin saturated the inside of the tent with his Law magic, the same tactic used to allow he and Amelia the private time they shared an evening prior, as no one outside the cloth of the structure would be able to hear or interpret what either of them said. He took a moment to look at Rosey before he approached the table, all the luster and vibrant energy she possessed during the battle had been all but diminished, her posture slouched, presumably from her wounds making it greatly uncomfortable to sit in most fashions, not that Gin would hold it against her.
He pulled his chair out to seat himself, pouring a glass of water for Rosey, pushing it towards her lowered head, proceeding to unravel the parchment. Spreading the large document across the table, viewing his own bright silver penmanship upon the pale gold paper, looking specifically for the location the terms he would read off to her when the time came. "Can you speak, if not take a drink of water and gesture to me your level of discomfort so that I may attempt to remedy it." Gin said to Rosey, having found the specifics that outline expulsion, and the process of dishonorable discharge. "No one outside of this tent can hear or see inside, the contents of this conversation are completely confidential, reserved to both you and I. This meeting will facilitate me reading off the procedure and steps that will lead to your expulsion of this army, as long as it is here and under my rule... but..." Gin stopped in his train of thought, his speech brought to an abrupt halt as he realized that this method of communication was mostly ineffective when dealing with Rosey.
"But there is something that must be address before this bureaucracy." Gin said, sliding the parchment across the side, sighing as he placed his arms onto the table, elbows down he folded he hands as he starred at the top of Rosey's head. "You will address me plainly here, as is your custom, my militaristic efforts resulted in this meeting, so now you will tell me what exactly is you malfunction. You will give me an answer, silence will not suffice her as I've said before, but now you are aware of what can be done to you, and what awaits you if I am not satisfied with what will constitute as our last meeting on the subject on your delinquent behavior. Why can you not follow my directions, mine or any other officers, what idea or notion do you have floating inside your head that causes you to cling to referring to yourself as a solider, when you disregard all the basic tenants." Gin finished, awaiting a response.

Rosey could hear Gin step inside and the chair moving across the floor so that he could sit across from her. She heard the water pouring into a cup for her and the glass sliding across the table towards her but she didn't move or say anything. She sat there listening to him talking about some procedure outline in some document that was more than likely used for celestials but was now being used on her. She frowned thinking that even though the Queen had sent her troops here to train, that didn't mean that he could use whatever rules he could use against her.
But then he stopped and asked her what was wrong with her, why did she act the way that did. He sat there waiting for her to say something even though she didn't want to speak to him. She sat in silence, going through her thoughts, thinking about the things she would rather do then sit there across from Gin. A moment past and she had this feeling that he was growing impatient with her and spoke up before he could say anything. "The celestials..." she started to say off the top of her head, a thought that she constantly thought over and over. "Their wars, your war... You bring in others into your war, to fight for you even though they have nothing to do with it. Both Heaven and Hell has this universe divided, not caring what would happen."
She let out a sigh and looked at him with a look of disgust. "You people even take advantages of rifts that are already there, making people afraid of their neighbors. My home... Heaven coming in to take our people and Hell taking Elves for this war, making the situation at home even worse. There was already fear amongst us faeries that the elves wold use their powers against us, powers that they gotten thanks to you people." She lowered her head down and her eyes were back to focusing on the table. "I can't be mad at the Elves though, its not their fault, they couldn't help at what they were born into..." She got quiet again, reverting back to her thoughts.

"It didn't ask you for your political commentary Rosey, I'm well aware of the perception we have outside of this realm, and I must say as a citizen of the Yumekai, your information as to the innocence of the Elves is grossly inaccurate, but then again, I suppose it is possible for you to know more than the Queen of the Fae, for whom I am training Fae at her insistence and at her behest and from which all of my information is derived, you do have that lovely knack for questioning authority. Don't dally on the subject, I asked you a question about yourself, not the Fae, not the Elves, and I will have my answer. Drink your water and sit up straight." Gin ordered, sipping his own, not even breaking his glance.
He would seek to address her complaints at a later time, but right now her dissent regarding his nation's policies were not the issues, and he wouldn't let her deter the conversation onto the subject. "Your leery gaze won't make this go by any faster, unless it propels you speak in your own defense." Gin said noticing the swollen, reddened side of her face, his face unchanged as he starred back at her.

Rosey tried to reach for her glass, extending her shackled hand as best she could. She managed to get the cup in her hand but it slipped out of her hand, spilling on her lap before crashing to the ground. She sighed and tilt her head back, displaying her frustration, however she quickly winced when her back touched the back of her seat.
She leaned forward again, ignoring his request for her to sit straight in her chair. She looked at him again, "You don't listen to me, so why should I talk to you? You asked me a questioned and I answered it only for you to not accept the answer. You give me a sword but then get upset that I use it against you. What the hell do you want from me? You want me to make up some pretty worded lie for you so that you can be happy?
"I'll do anything for my Queen but I don't think we should be involve in this war. I find dissatisfaction with everything, how people act towards you if you're not of their status, how things are forced on you, how people that you've known go off and never return because they died in some battle not pertaining to them... I should have died. I wasn't there for them..." She had ended her rant with silent tears. She had wanted to break from her bonds and destroy him and the tent but she barely had the energy to do anything but cry. There was guilt behind those tears, she was guilty of not being in the last battle after the Kouma Sensou incident with her men. That was something that she kept to herself though
"Lately, I only find satisfaction in a battle or in a bottle but I don't think you care. You don't care about anything I just said. You care only for your comfy life here in the Heavens and laws that protect that life." She really did feel like she just wasted her time talking, she felt like she should have just kept her mouth closed that way this would have ended a lot sooner. To her, it seemed like he was just fucking with her just to make her life miserable.

"We misunderstand each other then, I have listened to everything thing you have said since you have been here, but if the things said are not relevant to my line of questioning or conversation they are hardly acknowledged, a courtesy I cannot say you have offered to me in kind. As far as our altercation goes, frankly, I applaud both your resilience and tenacity during the fight, but you know just as well as I do seeking to do collateral damage has no place in a fight between two people, an honorable confrontation which should have been a one sided public display of embarrassment for yourself. Would it have been fair if I sought to do harm to the horned, scantily clad young lady who escorted you to throw you off your game?" Gin asked, sighing as he noticed he discomfort in her chair, the wounds he inflicted as well as he stubbornness making it hard to sit still.
Gin stood, and slowly, walked over to the fallen glass, scooping the pieces in his hand which began to glow a faint white, "There is no need for you to lie, but silence is an omission of truth in many circles child, I will not judge you unjustly, but you leave me no room for leniency when you won't even defend yourself." Gin said, dropping the pieces into the unshattered base, the glass reforming itself completely, with no cracks as he set it upon the table. Gin tapped his fingers on the shackles, causing them to open, and after taking notice of the bleeding through the back of Rosey's shirt, he placed one hand firmly onto her shoulder, turning her back towards him as he continued kneeling on the ground. "Stay completely still so that I may ease you anguish, as I said I would if you had asked..." Gin said, tracing the deep slashes into her back gently with his finger, the skin under her wet shirt mending itself closed, his magic working itself inside her wounds.
"The differences between you and I it seems are only external ones, you have no idea the similarities we share, our bond lying in what what see ourselves as. You dissatisfaction is relative in many aspects, after watching my own friends and comrades die, I slew the man responsible for their deaths, my own Sargent and commanding officer, who in his arrogance and cowardice, lead us to slaughter after he defected to Tomoyo's forces, painting us lower choir Celestials as fodder, and indistinguishable from pawns a chessboard. His hubris is what allowed me to see him for what his was, and if the opportunity presented itself again, I would slay him for every sunrise and sunset, a million deaths are not enough for such refuse." Gin said with a bitter tone, finishing the work on Rosey's back, gently easing her into an upright position.
Returning to his seat, he poured them both a glass of water, and after gesturing to her to partake, he took a long sip, closing his eyes relishing in the taste, as he gently set his finger onto the table. "I had all those left alive flee before the onslaught of fallen platoon could descend upon us, being led by a murderous fiend of unimaginable power, he set fire to even his own men to destroy me, but I defended the position on my lonesome until reinforcements arrived, nothing left of me but a broken man with charred wings and a fractured mind and a hardened heart. I should have died, maybe the man I was died that day, but here I am, making use of the life that I still posses, ensuring that other do not have to suffer what we endured on all those battlefields, and for what, to be betrayed by our own people, serving as vassals to aggressions and malcontents who slew our brave sons and daughters."
"Occupation is not something I wish to see happen to the Fae, they have been our most staunch and loyal allies, closest to us lower Choir Celestials than any of the others, the Queen will never see the likes of such indignity as long as I breath, surely you feel the same. Whatever image of a lofty life you think I lead is erroneous Rosey, we may have suffered the same amount of slights and indignities for what we are, but that does not mean I should carry myself as such. You waste your potential in those vials of poison you consume, potential the Queen and myself see all to clear, your own vision blurred by past wrongs and toxicity." Said in a somber tone, sliding the water away from himself on the table after finishing the last sips in his cup.
"You may not like me Rosey, I am certainly not fond our you, but I find myself compelled to not give up on you, that betrayal cuts deeper than the sharpest of blades, and burns in ones hearts with the intensity of Suzaku's wondrous plumage. You do not have to be like me, I would not want you too, but you can be better than you are, this is all I have ever tried to stress with you Rosey, the Queen feels the same, which is why she asked me in such a tone, a tone that only a dying mother could ask the being she entrusted the care of her only child to, to see that you live up to her ideal of you, for that I will not give up on you." Gin expressed solemnly, looking into the eyes of a being that resonated nothing but pure malice toward him.

When Gin got up to go to her side of the table, she was surprised that he allowed the shackles to come off after fixing the glass she just broke. He grabbed her shoulder which confused her and started to mend the wounds on her back. She looked away from him when he eased her back against the chair, there was still some pain but at least she could sit comfortable upright. Though the story he was telling her seemed intriguing to her but he continued on about the fae being allies to them and about her. It was something that she didn't care to listen to and she stared at him thinking that he was lying about how he cared about her as much as the Queen did.
She grabbed the cup that was put back together and stared at it while she rubbed her fingers across the surface of the cup, feeling that there was no evidence of it ever being broken. Her thoughts went back to him explaining his ordeal against some supposed comrade and the celestials from Hell. Her facial expression soften a bit and a curious look was now on her face while she stared at the water in the glass. "Did you... You were in that last battle? Actually fighting?" She started to think that if she had participated in the same battle, then there would have been a possibility of them fighting side by side. She started to reflect back to their fight and remembered the scars on him. "Was that how you got those scars?"
She looked at him with a look of inquisitiveness before quickly looking back down at her cup. She began to fiddle with her cup, making trail lines of perspiration that fell down the sides of the cup onto the table.

"The last and only person of my regiment, our aid was to arrive shortly after the massacre that awaited. I sent the wounded, and others to meet them halfway while I secured the area. To fight and kill 40 men and women requires some ingenuity, for that I am grateful to my training. It was in that battle I received those wounds you saw earlier, my reward for suck bravery? Both my legs shattered, ribs broken, a collapsed lung and shattered hand, these suffered before all my opponents lay dead. As I pierced the lance through the chest of the last man standing, the area was set ablaze, the dead burnt to cinders, and the dying scorched alive by a man I fought earlier, securing the lives of 3 of my closest friends, we fought like demons until his inevitable retreat, and as such paid me back in full, reducing the wings that kept me off the ground to ash and bone." Gin said blankly, still looking a Rosey, but his gaze as adrift as his mind deferred back to the bloody fields of battle.
"All I could do is fall to the earth in defeat, watching as his own men that I did not personally kill died in the fires of betrayal, as my loathing for my own failed strength, and hatred for him gave me the strength to attempt to find some form of shelter before I surrendered, happily knowing I saved my men's lives from such a cruel fate, happy that I was to die with honor. I awoke to my own horror weeks later in traction, my body bound, surrounded by those who survived the ordeal, the looks on their faces as I awoke as painful as the wounds I suffered at the hands of that flame wielding, traitorous butcher. When the magics of the healers failed to repair my body, my mental state sunk into further duress, and I was not content to forming strategies and sending honorable Celestial and Fae men and women off to slaughter, like some of the more craven generals who were the overseers and true weakness of our military. I lived by a code, fight and die by the sides of whom you serve with, and although I was embittered and broken, I did not yield or relent to my circumstances, traits I see in you Rosey, for better or worse." Gin said, forcing a small grin as his attention focused back to Rosey.
Gin settled back in his chair, allowing himself to sit most comfortably, almost a slouch of sorts if one didn't know him better it would seem given his current demeanor. "You are the first person I have shared such things with in a long time child, not even Mei knows of these things, as if I could tell her, as squeamish as she appears sometimes. I fear she would retch at my descriptions, and I have yet to see a Fae vomit, something I intend to prolong from seeing for as long as possible." Gin finished, his speech seemingly the catharsis need to bridge the gap between he and Rosey.

Rosey took a long sip as she thought about Mei and about how could a person such as herself have went through a war and be squeamish. She wondered if she had some cushy spot where she just commanded orders at soldiers below her. She brought the cup back down onto the table and a more serious look appeared on her face.
"I was suppose to be there. I was suppose to be in that war and I probably should have died there too. I guess being so young and thinking there was so much that I wanted to do before I went that I didn't go at first. I went to the Mortal Realm to work for some dream weavers and I was suppose to come back. I don't know what happened, I don't think I even made it to the location to meet up with the dream weaver. Next thing I know I'm wandering around trying to figure things out. By the time I got back home, war was over and the people I knew before were changed or dead..." She leaned forward, elbows on the table and her head in her hands.
"I just couldn't be there any more, I left and stayed in the Mortal Realm until I was summoned to be here. I didn't know what to do with myself, I was just a child when I took interest in joining the Queen's army, I even begged her to allow me in. All my life I trained, even became a commander at a young age just to miss my opportunity."
She leaned backed in her seat to match his posture. "I guess I tried to make it up with that one fight with that ice dragon with the two dragon dogs. A fae slaying a dragon, sounds kinda cool. But that didn't work out too well and I ended up failing at that. I thought he was going to end my life when he stabbed me through my abdomen but I think he did that just to torture me and walked away just to leave me on the cold ground. I should have died then, I probably should have pressed him to end my life." She took another sip of water before she started to play with the cup again, wishing that her story was as awesome as his.

"I understand... more than words can convey." Gin said solemnly, as he continued listening to Rosey's story. They shared a similar past, and the anger that drove them had a common source, it was the purpose they defined themselves by that shaped their thoughts and actions, albeit Rosey's direction had veered of the path into a bottle. "The mortal realm seems to attract that type of sentiment, making it a suitable place for one to wallow in there misery. I can't say I agree with your decisions, or say that I would have done the same, but honestly I do understand why things may have gotten that way for you." Gin said in a voice, that was truly heartfelt, a mild touch of sadness in his eyes.
"If a solider has no war to fight, or people to protect, then what is their purpose, yes a question often asked but never answered, leaving people like us to find our own solutions." Gin said, allowing Rosey to finish, her last topic of conversation, a fight concerning an Ice dragon, one she last, but apparently fought until the end. That Dragon, given the 2 traveling companions and general belligerence could be no other than Ilreg. "I had the displeasure of making the acquaintance with that ruffian twice. He doesn't take well to criticism, and overall came off as a petulant and effeminate looking beggar, imploring from Tsubasa and myself to help him take vengeance on Tomoyo, undoubtedly suffering defeat at her hands, a fools quest and I would never even consider the thought. My admiration to you for surviving such an encounter, as fool hardy as it appeared you were in engaging." Gin said, smiling at Rosey after making his comment about Ilreg.
He noticed the parchment at his side, and cleared his throat, remembering the purpose of the meeting today, but he didn't want to ruin the rapport he and Rosey were beginning to form. "In truth, I came here today to expel you, read you your crimes and send you on your way, but that was not the way to go about this, all the previous attempts at such failed before, and it made me seem cold to what you were actually trying to tell me. After having talked to you here and now, we are mutually responsible for earlier, for any undeserved wrongs you feel I have committed, I am sorry." Gin said, rolling up the paper. "I will not force you out Rosey, you place here, and ultimately your purpose will be yours to decide, but if you plan on staying, you must listen to me, and as begrudgingly as it appears respect me as you superior. Hate me and curse me in your own time, but salute and stand at attention, and you want be made and example of, you'll be the example for you men to follow, as it should be." Gin said, placing the roll of paper upright near his mud covered boot.

Smiling at the remarks Gin made about Ilreg, she finished off the rest of her water. She would have never guessed that he would seek help in a fight.
He then went on talking about his original purpose here and the smile faded away. She watched him roll up the document he brought with him as he explained that he would give her the choice of staying or leaving instead of forcing her out. She brought her finger to her lip, thinking about what she wanted to do. Her first thought was take this opportunity to leave and go back to the Mortal Realm but then she started to considered that maybe she should think this through before making rash decisions.
"I'll have to think about it. Generally I just go with ever pops into my head first but this seems like a life altering decision." She started to feel her stomach signaling that it wants food soon. "Is it about time for snack time?"

"Go and obtain your sustenance, but I do not permit you to participate in any military exercises or functions until I have your decision. Whatever you decide, think long and carefully about your choices Rosey, I shall visit you on the morrow to have you answer, other than that you are dismissed." Gin said hearing the rumbling in her belly, standing to his feet, revealed that the talk went over as well as it had. He stood, and made a sharp salute to Rosey, the rolled parchment under his arm, and turned just as quickly making his way to the flap.
Standing at the door, Gin turned his head to look back at Rosey on last time before departing, "This was... a pleasant experience to say the least Rosey, and for that I am thankful." Gin said, exiting the tent and dispersing the Law magic field surrounding the tent. "Gin Rosey is to find her own way to her barracks, you two are dismissed." Gin said to the two officers, confidence returned to his walk, the burns and stains from ash doing nothing to dampen his gleam, heading back to his own quarters, to cleanse himself of the battle, and obtain the proper attire to finish the inspection.

Rosey got up to leave when he did, nodded to him before she stretched out her arms, ready to see what was available to eat at this time of the day. She followed Gin out but he stopped and what he said to her made her feel a bit awkward but the feeling soon went away when she felt some sort of magic being used or she thought was being used. Thinking it was no big deal, she shrugged her shoulders and watched the guards walked off as they were dismissed.
Today had been an interesting day for her and she walked off ready to end it with a snack.
