There are many daughters and sons of the Queen’s Palace. One to note is Erato’s first daughter, Morrigan who died when she was a baby. She was the first child born in the Queen’s Palace and Erato pleaded with the guardians of the spirit world to release her baby girl. While it typically wasn’t allowed, Erato pleaded with the Shijin, and they ordered the spirit to be let free. In return, it was decided that she could remain only if she worked to guide spirits of the dead, as at the time there was no being with such a purpose in the Dream Realm. Morrigan appears as a ghostly looking woman, loosely held together by dream energy. She also appears as a crow, specifically in Exile, and usually is seen before someone dies so that she can lead the Spirit to the doorway to the Spirit Realm. In the Fae Kingdoms, however, she takes the form of a woman and she usually lets out a horrifying screech or scream whenever someone dies, as her way of mourning for those who may not have another fae to do so. This scream can sometimes, as with other disturbances of the Realm, filter into Dreams or Nightmares. Morrigan is the inspiration for the concept of Banshees in the Mortal Realm, and is comparable to Celsus Principinum of the Heaven.
Another child to note is Pál who was born from Thalia and a young unknown Celestial, who was a hideous and a small baby elf. She immediately cast him out to be raised by handmaidens in the palace. As he grew older he discovered that he was good with his hands, taught by the handmaidens to do small housework so that he could help with small tasks in the castle out of sight. Particularly skilled at weaving and repairing shoes, those became the two things that consumed his time. His lack of time in the open caused him to be amazed at bright or shimmering objects, which his caretakers sometimes brought back to him as gifts for his he. He slowly became obsessed with these trinkets, and soon enough he began stealing anything that was shiny worth of monetary value and within reach. Later when all the elves were kicked out to Exile, he took the chance to leave to go to the Heaven where he tried to find his father and ended up trying to steal the golden gates leading into the Realm. Instead he was chased away by the guards. He attempted to gain access again using a disguise made with faerie dust he stole from his mother’s brush. He was able to get in but couldn’t find his father and ended up starting his own shoe repair place. He would sometimes go to the Mortal Realm and steal from the Mortals, anything that was gold or silver. He used what little magic he had at his disposal to hide his treasures, which can only be found after it rains where a shining end of a bow appears. At the end of the bow, where it ties together is his treasures which can be revealed once untying the bow. However, it’s difficult to follow because the sun has to hit it right and sometimes once you move it’s gone.
As said before there are many children of the Queen’s Palace and there are some who have children of their own that are known as lords and ladies of the Palace but don’t reside in the palace. Instead they reside in small castles and are respected by the people but not are not seen as rulers since the Queen is the ruler of the realm.
