Repairs

[Fae NPC]

A bad storm came rolling through, passing over Exile and gathering strength as it hit the check point outside of Exile. Temporary buildings were damaged and the tents and tables were either quickly destroyed or blew away. There was nothing that faeries could do expect wait until the stormed cleared in the morning.

After the bad weather had past, the soldiers were quickly briefed on fixing things up so that they could at least go through the morning commute into Exile. The Colonel in charged of the Army in the Dream Realm showed up from another check point which hardly had any damages. He looked for the Major that had a arrived a couple of days ago that should be overlooking the progress of the repairs going on.

He spotted the young Major and walked up to him, "So how are things coming along?"

[Augustus]

The first couple of days was quite boring for Augustus as a Major and he wondered if everyday would be the same. He spent the day just watching over those under him work at the check point, screening everyone and inspecting suspected individuals going in and out of Exile. Which is why he was excited that the storm happened. It was something that wasn't mundane at all, though it took him awhile to assess the situation and get a course of action going.

As soon as he establish what the faeries should do as a priority, he then started to get others to fix the tents and temporary shelters so that things could be more manageable. It was then that he noticed a Colonel arriving on the scene who seemed to be checking if things were going as they should be. He quickly finished giving out orders and went over to the Colonel who was coming towards him.

"Smoothly sir. We got things going just enough to prevent any hold up with the traffic coming in and out the Elven city. We should be fully operational by the end of the day sir."

[Fae NPC]

"Thats good to hear." The Colonel said although he gave him a look that suggest there was something else on his mind.

"You know, its a bit weird that you're answering to me considering you're from the Queen's palace. I'm sure if you would ask the Queen to promote you she would. Or perhaps you could send a message to your cousin to promote you if she isn't too busy with whatever she does in Heaven."

He noticed that the the young guy seemed a bit worn down as if he had been in a scuffle or was just tired. However he kept the thought to himself as he waited for his response.

[Augustus]

Augustus shook his head, "No, I chose to take my time with traveling up the ladder. I rather earn my promotion then just becoming the Commanding General because of my connections to the palace." He shifted his weight and looked over to where the fae under him were busy with their work. It would be awhile for him to get adjusted to this type of work.

"Are you here to give new orders out for us after we're done fixing this check point up?" He figured that he was here to just observed how things were proceeding but he thought it wouldn't hurt to ask."
