Chiyo groaned at the sound of her alarm clock. She turned towards her night table reaching for it. She hit the offending item sighing in peace. Her peace lasted for five seconds before she heard a scream in her head. Now that would sound strange for anyone else, but it was normal for Chiyo. She sighed falling back into bed. She placed an arm over her eyes, "What's wrong Hikari?"
"You don't know do you?"
Chiyo sighed, "I don't know if you don't tell me. Now what's wrong?"
Hikari glared "You had another damn dream about HIM."
"Who Hikari?"
Hikari growled, "You know damn well who I'm talking about."
"Hikari just tell me please it's early in the morning and I don't feel like thinking yet."
"Who do I hate more than anyone in the world?"
"You hate alot of people. Who are we talking about?"
"Chiyo don't act dumb."
"No one is acting. Will you just-"
"Tomo! You had a dream about Tomo!"
Chiyo swallowed at the mention of her ex lover. She removed her arm placing it at her side. She swallowed again, "What did we do in the dream?"
Hikari glared, "What you normally do with him, her, or whatever it is."
Chiyo blushed lightly turning to her side. "That's private Hikari you know that."
"You're pretty loud Chiyo. I don't think it would stay private for long." Hikari said.
Chiyo's blush deepen as she fiddled with her sheet. "Hikari you know I can't help how I sound."
"No, but you can control your dreams. It was torture watching you two together. I don't understand why you dream about him. I don't get it he killed you. He killed you!" Hikari exclaimed.
"I know, but I understand why he did it. Why do you have to bring up past events Hikari?"
"Maybe you'll stop having these dreams if I do. I don't like that traitor. He should die in the slowest most painful way."
"Hikari you know I'm not going to agree to any idea you have. If he is so evil why did he give me custody of the twins?"
"Because he owed you that much for the hell he put you through. I want-"
"I know what you want. You won't stop telling me your elaborate ways to kill him. You know I'm not going to agree to it. I don't know why you tell me."
"Because I know all it will take is just one look from that thing and you're going to fall over your feet. You know it would happen Chiyo."
Chiyo sighed she knew Hikari was right. She didn't want to admit it, but she was right. She was human now. She shouldn't think about him anymore. She shouldn't have any memories of him, but things didn't work out like she planned. That trend continued into her new life. She traced the patterns on her comforter. She could feel Hikari's conflicting emotions. Hikari didn't like to make her sad, but she loved to be right. It bothered Chiyo every time.
She turned over noticing the red numbers of her clock. Her eyes widened at the time. She sat up rubbing her eyes "Damn it I didn't know it was that late. I have to get the girls ready for school."
"Oh yeah you do well we're going to talk about this later." Hikari said in a tone that left no room for discussion.
Chiyo sighed, "I know Hikari I know." She got out of bed scratching her head on the way to the bathroom. She knew Hikari would talk about it until she was blue in the face. It wasn't her fault she thought about Tomo from time to time. He did have the biggest impact on her life besides Setsuna and Satori. He's the father of her children yet Hikari wondered why she worried about him.
She shook head she didn't have time to think about that now. She had a list of things to do. She didn't have time to argue with Hikari.
