Personality: He's an asshole for those who don't bother to look deeper. He's never afraid to mince words, and he always speaks his mind. A quiet child, he's learned that being that way doesn't get things done. Because of this he's very boisterous, and he likes to show off. He has a sense of fairness, but he can just as easily cast it away if the person in question doesn't deserve it. He's loud and sarcastic. For those who know him personally, he can be gentle and kind.
History: Born of the First generation of Angels, he was trained by Suzaku along with Mikage Soramu, Sanada Tomoyo, Yamazaki Chikara, Shirogane Yamashiro, Takaishi Jiishita, Katashima Mimiko and Hanajima Satori. He was eliminated in the battle rounds held to decide the first Kings of Heaven, and he was content to learn from those who were in power.
Always loyal to Heaven, despite the people who may lead it astray, Lailis is one of the few Angels who actually believe that there is a way to co-exist with Heaven without compromising assets or people. Hotheaded in his youth, the squabbles between Heaven and Hell have cool his hot anger into cool, sharp sarcasm. Now an Elder of Heaven, he attempts to keep things from boiling over the edge when things go too far.
Strengths: Loyal, obedient, creative, insightful, honest, caring, easygoing; physically strong, has general knowledge of the usage of many weapons because of the basis of his own.
Weaknesses: cold, confident, satirical, loud, obnoxious, lazy, meddlesome; suffers from entropy at times
Most honorable deed: remaining in Heaven. At the time of Tomoyo's fall he did not believe that things in Heaven were correct. He knew that Tsubasa was orchestrating things in Heaven and that Tomoyo's comrades had failed her. However, taking care of Tsubasa so that Heaven would remain in the hands of the Angels and not hers was what was the most important thing to him.
Most dishonorable deed: thinking about leaving with Tomoyo, and thinking of falling to Hell when the Kings were refusing to help him oust Tsubasa.
Likes: Smoking pipes, (secretly) growing flowers, playing children's games, ice tea, and playing spades.
Dislikes: "Grown-ups" (inside joke--meaning those who think they know everything about the world), milk, board games--most of them, anyway--and boring color schemes/patterns.
