Hey, can you think of a superstition of belief that different cultures of the world have that can be tied to/explained by the RPG? The explanations will help with the descriptions that I have to add later about how the other Realms have influenced the Mortal Realm's belief systems and religions.
Don't take any personal offense if someone mentions something that you believe in. We're not personally attacking anyone.
I'll start off with an example so that you guys know what I'm talking about.
The Fact that the Shijin created the Universe is still remembered by Japanese culture by making them Gods in their folklore.
Also, because Heaven helps the processes of life in the Mortal Realm they are considered as Holy beings to be respected in exchange for the tranquility of their lives.
...also, things that are controlled by the Chaos element are immediately associated with bad luck.

Hmmm...I guess you can also say that the Greek, the Romans and the various groups of indigenous people recognized that there were many gods but they gave them their own names.

Yes, I was just about to say that. Greek folklore, later adopted by the Romans, believed in some of the same elements. For example, Chaos was the nothingness before Gaia/Gaea and Cronus--mother earth and father sky respecfully. Then came the Giants, the Titans, and the gods...if I have that right.
I'm a real Greek/Roman buff. I prefer the Greek god/desses names to the Roman. If anyone needs a list, I can give you one including all the major dieties with their specific attribute, some love affairs (esp. Zeus with various women and sometimes men) and other folklore.
I know entirely too much about that stuff. Plus there are always my books for consultation.

can we get back to the subject at hand? don't make me delete these...
Anyway, I've got one:
One of the reason that the Shinto religion worships so many multiple natural minor gods is because many of the founding citizens had their own elemental sprites, which, during earth's more primitive stages, were revered as gods.

Sorry. I almost got carried away and lost into the world of mythology, but I didn't...and that's good.
But about the topic at hand. Let me look up some stuff.
