The first contest will be a story contest.
The premise of this contest is to concoct a detailed description of your primary character's childhood.
By this, we mean:
1.What were their parents like and what relationship did they have with their parents
2.If they had any siblings, how many, what they were like and their names, and what sort of relationships they had with said siblings.
3. The names of their extended family and how they related to them. Because this and the two above qualification are extreamly important to how a character turns out, we need to know this kind of stuff. Just mentioning it is fine but going into greater detail is excellent.
4.What type of education the character recieved and how the character was effected by it. Just mentioning is fine but going into detail about it is even better.
5.Several incidents that effected the character deeply and still effects them to this day. Something as simple as being teased this one time which has made the character tougher is fine as long as we can clearly see those details in the story itself.
6. If your character is a Seishi, read the descriptions of the various families for a guideline. We also want to see something about how being a seishi affects your character to date. For example, Byakko's family is very strict about how his seishi are treated. As such, Rei, Ren, Seki, Mimiko, Chikara, Tsubasa, and Inu are all very impacted by this later on in life. I want to know how the various members of the other's families were effected as well.
This story doesn't have to be long and it doesn't have to be overly complicated. As long as it meets the above qualifications it can be considered an entry.
The ending date for this contest is February 29, 2008 at 12:00am.
