Here's an explaination of draconic magic and how it differentiates from shihjin magic. I will develop how Shijin magic functions in the draconic system soon.
Flux
The Flux is known as the collective energies that comprise the magical essence, the ether if you will of the Umbra (Mythical Realm). Comprised of various energies (each representing an aspect of creation leftover from the creation of the known Kiseki Universe, remaining unchecked in the Void) the Flux, as it is called became its own form of spiritual energy over the course of time in two defining moments, the first being combined by the crushing entropy of the Void, colliding together to form a raw, compounded myrrh, from which a new Realm (the Umbra) sprang forth, the second being the remnants of creation gaining sentience (in the form of Dai-gon), forming the consciousness that would go on to permeate the Realm. A dragon’s reserve of spiritual energy is its own personal portion of the Flux, from which all Dragon’s are connected to their maker Dai-gon. The description for each portion of creative energy that comprises Flux as well as its function is as follows:
Mortal; The energies that resonated the spark of life and sentience, as well as the diversity of living creatures. It was from this Realm gained awareness (in the Form of Dai-gon), and later the ability to create other beings. Responsible for transformations as well as ability to spawn.
Dream; The energies that resonated manipulation of will power, the ability to mold and shape things into reality. It was from this Dragon gained the ability to conjure Elemental constructs into existence.
Spiritual; The energies that resonated a state beyond Death, a construct for the very essence of a being, all of its life experiences compounded into the spark that initially gave the being life. It was from this the Dragon’s gained the singular consciousness that connects them all, as well as accounting for their ability to pass on knowledge and history through Seeding (See Dragons in Kiseki for more info). The spirit also acts as an intermediary, converting their life energy into what their personality perceives their environment to be, manifesting as the facsimile of Elemental magic. This is also responsible for the return of deceased Draconic Spirits back to the Mythical Realm. Also responsible for Healing and Regenerative properties all Dragon’s possess.
Elemental; Nothing, the creation of the Elemental spirits by the Shijin already present imbued the Dragons with the minute inclination to what they perceive to be different Elements, this applies directly to their powers outside the Mythical Realm. The draconic was created before the Elemental Realm, so nothing was gained from its creation other than the signature of the Elements present in the Kiseki Universe.
Heaven; nothing to be determined, as this was the last of the Shijin’s respective creations, made after the Draconic race was already present in various Realms in the Kiseki Universe.
The key difference between Draconic magic and Shijin magic is that the Draconic magic is a combination of various aspects of creation, left to develop on its own in the Etherium. Without being directly shaped or influenced by the Shijin, Draconic Magic has properties that are foreign to the Shijin magic system (Dragons aren’t dependant on the pact system and can innately use magic.)
