"Citizens of the Third, I regret to inform you..." Tomo looked at the surrounding Lillum with sad eyes, "That Kamori Kasumi is no longer your King. She has officially resigned from her post here. However, I will be searching for a new King in the meantime, and none of the processes here will cease. I ask that you continue your daily routine as usual."
The Lillum in attendance looked emotionless, as though they did not really care that their King was gone. The sad truth was that they did not, and those who did only care because their Masters cared. The Free Lillum in this layer probably cared a little, did not show it.
Honestly, Tomo did not want to give this statement to those who lived here. He had liked Kasumi, even though she had been a rather lethargic King, and had been looking forward to her actually getting around to cleaning the realm up a bit. She had been a strong advocate for Lillum rights, as she was a free Lillite herself, and while her idea for freedom of the entire was a little absurd to Tomo, she still made sure that they received the same rights as other subjects in other layers. Knowing that she was gone would surely stir trouble for those who owned Lillum in the layer.
"For those of you who few Masters that bothered to show up for this address, I ask that you still adhere to the rules governing this realm in terms of the Free Lillum that exist, and those that belong to others. My official guard will be here to make sure that no one here is being taken advantage of, and those who violate the laws already in place will suffer the Death Penalty while there is not a King here."
The merchants and Masters looked flabbergasted, as though they had not expected their crimes to go unpunished in the next while it would take to get another King.
Tomo looked at the lot of them, and smiled wickedly. "I am not Kasumi. I will not punish you with jail time and sessions of torture. I created every last one of these beings. I remember which portion of my soul I put into every last one of them. I know your slaves better than you do. And I know the faces of everyone who came to me begging, asking for a Lillite of your own. I will not forget easily which Lillum are yours and which are not. And if you illegally touch, maim, harass, rape, beat, or sell a piece of my soul, you will pay for it with your life. Understand?"
Amidst the eerie silence that echoed through the layer at his explanation, Tomo made his exit, sure to leave the personal guards of his castle behind.
