Lunch Time!![finished]

[Rosey]

Rosey was wandering through town trying to walk off a slight hang over she had when she noticed that she hadn't had her third meal of the day, lunch. She went to the first restaurant she saw and that was some coney island. She realized that there was so many of them in this realm. Perhaps it was something that mortals really enjoyed. Perhaps it was the best thing ever. Perhaps Rosey should check it out.

She walked in and noticed a sign saying to seat herself. She picked a spot in the corner of the restaurant just so none of the mortals bothered her. A waitress came by a second later and placed a menu down for her so she can get to the other customers. Rosey scanned the menu for anything she might like but couldn't decide, everything sounded good to her. She could just buy everything on the menu.

Decisions, decisions.

[Kanjin Taiyou]

Taiyou's head was still spinning from earlier that day. For once, his state of dizziness didn't come from drinking, but from the manual labor he performed regularly to obtain money to purchase mortal food and liquor. Earlier that day, Taiyou removed several large boulders from the river of a small village by smashing them with his enormous sword and strength. One of the boulders cracked and broke sooner that expected, and the falling debris landed on Taiyou's unprotected head. After taking his wages, Taiyou stumbled out of the town with much thanks from the villagers.

After attempting to walk his unbalanced state, Taiyou found himself coming to a halt near a small mortal restaurant, "Coney Island, hmm... I wonder if they serve drinks here?" Taiyou asked walking through the door, weapon in hand. Upon entering Taiyou located a seat near the register, right next to a petite woman with fiery red hair, "Hey do you guys serve booze here?" Taiyou called to the waitress, only to be disappointed by a sharp no. "Jeez..." Taiyou said in a saddened tone as he walked toward his seat. Placing his weapon on the ground before h sat, Taiyou took care placing it down, managing to break only a few of the floor tile with the weapons ridiculous weight, before taking his seat.

Before he could grab a menu, he noticed the smell of liquor coming off the woman next to him, "Excuse me miss, can you help a fella out and tell me a good place to wet my whistle." Taiyou said smiling as he grabbed a menu.

Rosey in thought, was disrupted by the man questioning her. She frowned a little that she lost her thought. "Well I can't tell you really, I've been traveling around lately. I usually just get a drink whenever I run into a place that has some."

She went back to the menu looking to see if she could remember what she narrowed her choices were. She frowned when she couldn't figured out what it was and started to get angry.

[Kanjin Taiyou]

"Well, have you been anywhere lately, my head is spinning, and I really wanted knock back a few." Taiyou said, smiling at the stranger's fire red hair. "Waitress i'll have a raw steak and some of these... chili fries as you call them."

[A/N: Rosey usually hair is red when she is in her faerie form. When she is trying to blend as a mortal she has dark brown hair. I thought you should know.]

Rosey couldn't remember where she went when she had her drinks at exactly. She tried to think about it but right at this moment, her stomach was calling to her attention. After hearing him order something eat she thought she would maybe order the same thing. "I'll have what he's having but I want my steak medium rare. And could also throw on the side a...what you call it...cheeseburger and cheese sticks too."

As the waitress brought out his food, Taiyou smiled at her when she st the plates down in front of him, "Hey sweetie, what's hardest stuff ya got in here?" He asked playfully, eating a forkfull of piping hot Chili fries, not at all bothered by the heat.

"Coca-Cola..." she said very unenthused.

"Well bring me a Cola as you call it, in a dirty glass!" He said as he finished the plate of Chili Fries before the exchange was over. Taiyou then commenced to hold his hand over his raw steak, heat began to radiate from his hand. "They never cook em' right so I ask for em' raw and cook em' myself." Taiyou said to the brown haired woman sitting next to him, continuing his attempts at conversation, te meat sizzling under his hand.

In a dirty glass?

Rosey watched him heat up his steak and wonder what kind of being he was. It was really weird how she was meeting different kinds of non-mortal people in the Mortal Realm. She was thinking about what kind of business would he have in the Mortal Realm. Nothing came to her head though so she just shrugged and starting sipping on the water that was sitting in front of her.

The waitress came a minute later with her food and she starting chowing down on the food. She basically finished her cheeseburger in a couple of bites and was almost finished with her cheesesticks and steak. As she was eating though, she wondered why he would use his powers where someone can see them. He should have ordered the steak how he wanted and not have to worry about a thing. But then again, Rosey was careful and she didn't care how her food was cooked.

She realized that he was drinking some kind of dark substance and was starting to be hopeful that they had some good drinks here. "What is that you're drinking?"

[Kanjin Taiyou]

Taiyou belched as he finished his beverage and preapred to eat his steak, now sizzling in front of him, "The waitress called it a Coca-Cola, it's like alchol without the punch." Taiyou said cutting into his steak, revealing it's tender pink interior. Taiyou began to season his food with the salt and pepper before him, "So, you from around these parts?" Taiyou asked, lifting a forkful full of still sizzling meat into his mouth.

[Rosey]

"Like alcohol without the punch?" Rosey wasn't interested in being teased by some drink, she rather drink the water thats in front of her.

But she didn't know what to say when he asked if she was from around here and she almost panicked. She had almost forgotten about the apartment that she had but she didn't want to mention where it was though. "No I'm not from around here, I'm just passing through this town."

[Kanjin Taiyou]

Finishing his steak, and the last little bit of his cola, Taiyou wiped his mouth with a near by napkin. "I'm just passing by as well, and I was looking for a place to wet my whistle, but if you don't know of anywhere, I guess I'll be off." Taiyou said as he stood up, leaving a large amount of money near his dishes. "Hopefully I'll see you around..." Taiyou said as he slowly walked to the door of the restauruant.

[Rosey]

Rosey simply watched him leave the restaurant after finishing his meal. She started to get this feeling that maybe she might run into future, hopefully in a friendly nature such as this meeting. Most of the people she ran into seemed to be friendly for the most part besides one or two people she had ran into.

After the brief, thoughtful moment to herself, she finished off her food and the remaining amount of water in her glass. She got up and threw her money down before exiting the place.
