The Dragons are an ancient a mystical race that predate most life in the Kiseki universe, as they originate from the Mythical Realm (When it was the Draconic Realm), a place that predates the Kiseki universe in origin. Created by the Draconic Patriarch Dai-gon, the dragons are creatures that exist outside of the normal parameters of the creators of the Kiseki universe, the Shijin. After the creation of the Heaven’s and other various realms, a pact made between the Shijin and Dai-gon allowed the dragons to roam among the creations of the Shijin, many dragons traveling to the various realms. During this time, a shift in power amongst those dragons that choose to stay within the confines of the Mythical realm began to dictate the actions of the race as a whole. The following is a detailed summary of the dragons, the basis of their powers, information on their racial nuances, and a look at the status of dragons as they stand in current times.

Naturally, the earliest dragons were comprised of the Spirits of their maker, and given physical form by their maker. This connection gives the race as a whole a sense of resonance, as a dragon can sense when other dragons are near, as well as being able to tie back ancestral information. This section details the attributes specific to the draconic race.
1. Regeneration; an ability gained through hereditary, dating back to their bestial ancestors, all dragons have a healing factor to certain degree. This comes from the Mythical Spirit energy that all dragons contain, which when a dragon receives damage, automatically begins to seal and heal wounds sustained, seeking to return the host to its most complete form to successfully emulate the elements. The overall process varies from dragon to dragon, with age and lineage playing a direct factor. This also is not without consequence, as the process consumes some of the dragons overall energy, affecting speed, stamina, and magical prowess. Prolonged damage, and constantly being wounded can render a dragon fatigued, eventually leading to the fully whole, injury free dragon to become comatose, not having enough energy left to stay conscious. This regeneration does not mean that dragons cannot die, for there are wounds to grave to heal from, a combination of too many of these can send the dragon into shock, draining its energy to rapidly for its body to compensate, killing the dragon therein, its spirit energy returning to the Mythical Realm, or absorbed by dragon closest by (this requires a similarity of elemental status to prevent the negation of the host absorbers natural element). The only known inverse elemental combinations are Light/Dark, Earth/Steel, Law/Chaos, Time; in correlation to Past/Present/Future, Mind/Insight, Air/Sound, and Ice/Water.

2. Transformation; another gift of hereditary is the transformation into a beast-like form, exclusive to all dragons. While the dragon is nowhere near as mighty as its ancestor of Bestial name, the transformation allows for a more powerful, concentrated variant of the element of emulation. This form is also designated by age, with an older dragon being more suited to control his bestial form longer than would a relatively young dragon, having very little to no control over themselves while transformed. Also, transformations can allow for an upgrade to many physical attributes, garnering increased strength, speed, as well as an acceleration to the healing factor that all dragons possess. Transformations are not for the rash or foolish, as more precise control is required to efficiently utilize this boost in power, as the rate of energy the dragon burned is doubled, and even tripled, depending on the actions while transformed. The transformed dragon uses the environment, and converts the ambient energy corresponding to its element to supplement the increase in mass, and change in physical appearance.

3. Spawning & seeding; spawning is the process of creating serpent like homunculi, sentient beasts who resemble dragons, but have no initiative or intellect outside of their master’s wishes. Outside of ancient and Bestial dragons, this ability is rare, and requires and enormous amount of control over the dragons spirit (which is required to give life to the Draconi as they are called) as well as energy (which is needed to heal after sacrificing a portion of the dragons physical form, as this spawning is possible only in a transformed state, when the dragon has more mass to spare.). Spawning isn’t to be confused with seeding, which is the ability for non Bestial dragons to pass on their knowledge, history, and memories through the conception of another dragon. This is possible through both internal (with other dragons) as well external (with non draconic beings, the dragons emulating nature making hybridization possible) breeding. This act must be done with great care and concern, for a non Bestial dragon can only breed once in its life, passing on only the knowledge it has amassed before the conception, no more. Dragons are compatible with nearly all creatures to breed, resulting in the various dragon hybrids that exist in the Kiseki universe.

The draconic race has fallen into obscurity as of late within the Kiseki universe, very few of them remaining, as many dragons have either perished or returned to the Mythical realm. Initially, the dragons roamed free thought the known Kiseki universe, forging an alliance with the Shijin and the Heavens to aid in the changing and shaping of the universe. As time went on, the Shijin gods were banished by their own creations, and a sudden shift in Draconic hierarchies resulted in many draconic descendants of the Bestial Dragons (including the various dragon hybrids that existed then and now) to pledge allegiance to Heaven, many perishing over the years from numerous reasons; the Celestial Wars, mortal persecution, and in-fighting all factoring in. Now there are few dragons left, the Bestial Dragons who came to aid the Shijin’s creations deciding to return to the Mythical Realm to escape persecution from Heaven, Hell, and would be draconic tyrants hoping to use their immense powers to further there own. There were a few benevolent Bestial Dragon who choose to stay in various Realms of Kiseki, as the still exist in all places except the Spirit and Elemental Realms. These powerful dragons, continued to aid the inhabitants of the realms in which they dwelt, eventually becoming apart of the very makeup of there environment (an example would be an Earth Bestial Dragon becoming a mountain range), continuing to aid those they stayed to protect.
