Tomoyo, for once, was not in the brightly shining robes of white that she typically wore these days; she was in disguise, or as much disguise as she could manage, walking down the back alleyways of streets of a city named Boston. It was crowded, very crowded, and the Yami-ou knew that no one would notice her or anyone with her. Symphony trailed behind him as usual, this time as her shadow, never moving out of place and not detectable by anyone. Making a sharp round of a corner into a dilapidated building, Tomoyo entered, knowing where she was going to go. Heading up a flight of stairs to her right, then into another hallway. At the last door at the end of that hall, she knocked three times and then entered. The room was beautiful, despite the appearance of the room on the outside, and there was someone sitting near a window at the edge of the room, just as Tomoyo knew that they would be, and the Yami-ou smiled.

"Well, well, well," Dimitri said, his fingers interlaced, "I can't believe that you showed up, little lamb...after you sat back and allowed Soramu to be taken from her home, you bother to try to redeem yourself? You got your just deserts, Yami-ou." Though his voice was soft, there was an undeniable cruelty in his words. "You were abadnoned by your comrades; you said nothing to the Shijin about Soramu. His visibly red wings, the wings of a true descendant of the Paladim, shown against the sky. One of those cast down from Heaven, one of those forsaken by the Shijin. It was only fitting that the Celestials would need a race that they almost made extinct. "I will only allow you to live in my presence because you allowed a refuge for my people to be made. However, we no longer need your help, and I won't allow you any other favors from me." His voice changing back to its soft, gentle tone, he said, "Speak your piece. Make your request."

Tomoyo was slightly hurt by the harshness in Dimitri's tone, but didn't even bother to refute his claims.
"I am always a friend to the Paladim. Despite the hardness of your heart you know that. But to business. I can't trust those Human Devil Saint fools with a job like this; they'll botch it. Are you aware, Dimitri, that Dragons are becoming more active? They are engaging in interaction with Celestials, even Choirless."
Tomoyo knew that the Paladim held a special connection to the choirless because of their similar predicaments. Many of the Paladim themselves had turned into choirless angels for lack of activity.
"I want to know what is happening. I have the slightest inkling that the rest of the universe is catching on to the animosity between Heaven and Hell, and I think that its because of all this that the worlds are turning themselves upside down. I've been trying to prevent a War with Heaven for as long as I could, but for things to be stirring here..." she trailed off. "I have come to ask if you have had any dealings with the Dragons, and to report to me if your people see anything..."

Dimitri refused to say anything about the Yami-ou's personal comments. They were not his to reply to. "We thank you for your pledge of friendship," was all that he replied. "And no, I have not personally has any dealing with those of the Dragon Clan. However, you have provided us with information, and thus there must be equal exchange. Not only are the Dragons active as you say, but so are the Jin, now. After millennia of hiding, some are venturing forth from their hidden cities to attempt to figure out what is going on 'up there', as they perceive it. I know nothing about their plans as I whole--I don't know too much about them, just as you do not know too much about the Dragons activity. I assume that you knowing of their dealings comes from personal experience of you and your allies."
He paused, not sure what else to say. "Now that this is over, I shall take my leave. As you requested, I shall contact you again if there is any information to be revealed. I assume that you will do the same for me. As much as I despise working with you I would rather this than cooperate with Heaven. In my opinion they have already done too much damage to try to clean it all up now..."
Dimitri did not bother to keep the bitterness from his voice.
"I bid you farewell, Yami-ou. I'll see you when I see you."

Before Tomoyo could even open her mouth, he was gone, lost to the abyss of the night outside of the window. Tomoyo could have run after him, could have followed him, but there was no need--she had gotten what she came for. And considering the dealings that had transpired between Tomoyo and Soramu, she did not have the right to say anything to Dimitri. They had once been old friends, but Tomoyo thought now that such a thing was unsalvagable.
But, he had listened, and he had agreed, even if it only was because she owed them a favor--and she was grateful for it. There had been no need to bring Symphony, and all was well...
There were Jin about. This fact was curious, and even Tomoyo herself had yet to see one in all of her years of existence.
She was looking forward to meeting one.
