Kensei's feet lightly trampled the ground at great speed, his stride straight as the edge of the blade on his back. Traveling at such speed was nothing for Kensei, who often used his haste in combination with his Light abilities to confuse and stagger opponents. In his eyes, the world was a blur, a medley of colors and sounds meshed together while he ran to his destination, his back leaning forward, his arms behind him, his hands in close proximity to the armaments in the many pouches on his waist.
Seemingly weightless, Kensei leaped in to the air and disappeared, using his magic to bend the light around himself to render his person invisible. Clearing the path of trees and other assorted foliage of the closed grounds of his village that was the site of the massacre the claimed the life of his father and clan leader, Kensei stealthily landed on the ground, not even send a cloud of dust in the air.
Walking past and disarming several devices placed to ward off intruders, Kensei removed his veil of stealth when he entered the house of the former clan leader. Removing his goggle from his satchel Kensei knelt to the ground to say a prayer for those slain. "Gods of the Dawn, allow me the honor to praise those who could not stand with me today. Allow me to honor them and bring their murderer to justice and redeem our Village." Kensei said before placing the magical lenses on his eyes. "I will uncover the evidence here to begin my pursuit, the elders may have missed something vital to discovering the culprit." Kensei said inspecting the room.
Kensei took note of what he saw in his head. "When I arrived here the blood was fresh on the day of the massacre, now it has been cleaned by the elders. One question remains though, although we are magicians, our blood possesses no magical traces, why is it where this blood was spilled the goggles detect magic. Certainly the blood cannot be magical can it." Kensei said examine the floor near the bed. It was then he noticed the the floor area he been corroded, more so than time should have done in the short period after the murder. Using his hand to feel the ground, the floor felt as if some abrasive liquid had done most of the damage to the room.
"A demon or creature whose blood has strange magical properties. This is what I needed." Kensei said as he heard footsteps coming from the doorway. "Guards..." Kensei said before disappearing, off to begin the hunt for the heinous culprit who shamed his home and murdered his father.
