The invitation lay on my desk atop of many a documents concerning the Water being provided for the Aegis Cathedral. I had worked quite hard on this project, many a night I dug the pit for the walls myself. I had wanted to show my people that Though I governed their lives and provided them with safety, I was not above working with them, in fact I had began setting aside a time to have casual conversations in the countryside near my Castle. the Aegis Project was finished saved for the water and i had taken special precautions to safeguard it, Even if the water was poisoned, It would not affect the in habitants of the Aegis Cathedral: They had 20 years of preparation if the Layer was captured and I fell. My mind wandered over the many things concerning the well being of my people as I held the Invitation to the Celestial conference in my hand. I had already sat one on the desk of the Lady Tsubasa. I went to speak with Gin now though. I knew that out of everyone I knew I could trust him the most.......Well besides Joan. I knocked on Gin's door, stepped back three paces and clasped my hands behind my back. I awaited his answer.

Sipping the cup of tea in his hand, Gin heard a knock on the door to his office. "Hrmm, who might this be." Gin said as he looked at his schedule, seeing no appointments today. "Better see to this now..." Gin said as he set his pearl and gold trimmed cup on its matching saucer, next to his favorite silver feather quill diamond tipped pen. Walking to the door, Gin opened it to find the King of the Fifth layer of Heaven before him, "Hotaka my good friend." Gin said smiling as he firmly shook his colleague's hand. "Come in my friend, and inform me, what brings you today." Gin said as walked back to his desk. Gin then pulled a chair out for his guest, then proceeded to seat himself behind his desk, across from Hokata, signaling for him to take a seat and relax in the comforts of his office.

Hotaka smiled in turn returning the handshake with equal firmness. It was always swell to see and speak with a trusted colleague. There were quite a few things troubling Hotaka. One of the primary ones being with the Lady Tsubasa. The latter however, would be something he spoke of later. Hotaka could not risk lowering the morale of the people anymore than it already was. There were currently four out of seven active kings. We were without a Ha-Ou.
Things were most certainly turning foul. Hotaka's good friend Asaba. Though very prideful and extremely competive, Asaba was a truly good friend. The Lady Tohru: Hotaka sighed inwardly. Tohru was his first Heavenly love. Truly everything a man could ever hope for in a woman........ Save for the treasonous deceit.
Quickly, Hotaka was reminded of how stressful things really were for him. He took the invitation to the first Celestial conference and handed it to Gin. The Silver-Tongued-One would probably enjoy such a conference.
"I found this lying on my desk when I returned from Swordplay today."

"Really, and you have read it already I assume..." Gin said as he took the letter Hotaka handed to him. Usually Gin thought Hotaka was very adamant about getting to the heart of matters he felt to be pressing, especially when it came to the mortals he had come to revere so. Only in times of uncertainty had Hotaka sought out the counsel of his comrade, especially in matters pertaining to Hell and its dealings as late, Hotaka's troubled past experiences with the 'fallen' had been quite stressful to the young Heavenly King, and the subject of many conversations between he and Gin.
As Gin opened the important looking letter, his eyes quickly scrolled from line to line, covering every word, taking precious time to meticulously analyze every syllable and phase contained within. "Hrmm... This is very interesting to say the least. Why would the harbinger of the 'fallen' choose now, of all times with a potential war on the horizon, to send out this paltry attempt at an armistice? Tell me Hotaka my friend, what do you think of this rubbish?" Gin said as he carefully folded the letter and placed it on his desk, placing his hands together, fingers intertwined as he looked at Hotaka quizzically.

Hotaka sighed. He knew that there was really no way he could truly trust Sanada with something like this. Of course, being the man he was, Hotaka was all for diplomacy. He would have no choice but to go, if it even meant thered be a fraction of a chance at saving lives (All of them, not just Upright, Fallen, celestial, or mortal) hed have to take that chance. It had come to a point in Hotaka's life that he had realized that in order to truly make a difference in the lives of others and possibly saving their lives, he would have risk his own life. That was a risk He was willing to take though. What was the use of power if it not be used to protect those unable to protect themselves?
"Gin. There are too many lives at stake to immediately take up arms against hell. I think we should go there with the idea of a True Peace in mind, one that equally benefits both of Heaven and Hell." Hotaka said dusting off his chest and tossing his robes about himself.
Hotaka knew that should this war be fought, the battlefield would indeed be the Realm of Mortals. The Celestials would have to find a land of even ground so that no one side had the advantage of knowing where they were and how to best utilize the environment. Sadly the only place like this would in fact be the mortal realm. Everyone except a select few, thought they were too good for the mortals and so they stayed away from their home.

"I am aware of your feeling towards the mortals Hotaka, but this is war, casualties are inevitable, but this doesn't that we would be the one's to cause the mass murder of mortals. If you rememberer only the fallen and their ilk leave their realms to reek havoc and run amok amongst the mortals, I am nearly stating the facts before me, and the casualties I speak of are those that could potentially take place in the Heaven's, in lieu of our current occupation by the leader of the 'fallen' and it's subsequent supplementing off another puppet king amongst us." Kouzetsu replied, sparring no attempt to mince words about the current sate of heaven, as well as his opinion on Hell's involvement with the working of the Heavenly Realms.
"Hotaka, if the war we're to break out tomorrow, what lengths would you be prepared to go to to defend our home." Kouzetsu asked, his glasses reflecting the light that pierced his offices window, as he stared at Hotaka.

As much as Hotaka was in fact against unneeded bloodshed, he could honestly say that this was in fact his home. he would do what he could to protect it and its inhabitants. Hotaka felt that his entire purpose was to help those that did not carry the same power that he did. "With great power, comes great responsibility." Was a quote that he remembered from a comic book he'd read in the past. Hotaka didnt even feel like musch thought needed to be put into his answer concerning the protection of Heaven. It was in fact his Home.
"I would use any Honorable Means needed, to protect the Heavens." Hotaka said returning Gin's unwavering stare.
Gin was Hotaka's friend. Had been his friend for quite sometime now. It would make no sense to stop trusting him now.

"Good, I am glad to see that your head and your heart remains amongst your Heavenly bretheren, go forth and continue my friend and stay strong Hotaka, you are more valuable to our cause than you realize." Kouzetsu said smiling as he stood, offering his hand to his brother in arms.
"The mortals must reliize that we Heavenly only has their best intentions in mind, unlike the 'fallen' who continue to harm and corrupt them with their perverse ways, only by staying steadfast can we hope to return Heaven to it's original glory, and remove the 'fallen' taint that permeates it so."

"Very well." I said taking Gin's hand and giving it firm shake.
It felt good to know that I wasnt the only one around these parts who wasnt into to just blatantly destroying things. I had to go check on the preparations concerning the Aegis Project.
"Adieu." I said bowing slightly and setting off.

"Goodbye my friend, till next we meet." Kouzetsu said smiling as he returned a firm handshake as well, watching as Hotaka exited his office. Returning to his seat, Kouzetsu procured his favorite silver feathered pen, and gold ink, "I must take this information to lady Tsubasa, she'll find this... interesting." Kouzetsu said as he dipped the pen in the shining ink, tapping the excess back in to vial, and gracefully began to replicate the letter of Hotaka's he had read only moments ago.
