Setsuna once again, decided to take up the search for her parents. She had not physically saw them since the months surrounding her birth. Shortly after the age of one, she was kidnapped from Heaven, not to return for 14 earth years.
Her older brother, Elder Yamashiro, had constantly, reminded her of their prominient presence and love they bore for her. Setsuna could not remember this love, or even the way they smelled or felt. And she had a depleting vision of what they looked like. If it wasn't for the portraits throughout the castle, she doubt even she would remember their faces.
Yamashiro, in accordance with the other Elders of Heaven, decided some months back that Setsuna would abandon all search of her parents. As a result of her refusal, Yamashiro, her dear brother was forced to bind her power, with much heart-sickness, to almost that of incapacitating.
Since those months, Setsuna has done what she was told, well for the most part. Her parents whereabouts were still being sought, just not by her. She had a staff of a few very trust-worthy, dedicated to the exploit.
But Elders had once again relaxed their restraint on the Heaven King, and she took up the task herself, being very careful not to alert Elders Yamashiro or Hanajima, for they would pay her a pesonal visit and this time, bind all of her powers, which is not wise for anyone.
Oh, Setsuna would would find them, and the Elders would be very angry with her when she did, but that didn't matter now. Not when she was so close....
"Queen," someone greeted her as she entered the secret room in her castle, "here is the most recent information on your parents." a young man, angel, said as he handed her a rather thick file folder.
Setsuna glanced at the first page. "This dates back 1,750 years!! Are you telling me this is the best we've got!!"
A woman from the other side of the room answered, "Yes Queen. We could not discover any more recent information."
"One thousand seven hundred fifty years ago, was just some years after i had rentered Heaven from my extended absence...this cannot be true..."
"We're sorry, we couldn't find anything else." She same male angel replied.
"There must be more. Keep searching." Setsuna ordered.
"Queen," someone else called, "we have the location of the seond key."
Setsuna whirled around and practically ran over to the desk. They had already discovered the whereabouts of the first key to the Gates of Time, which was held by the guardian. Setsuna had resolved with opposition from her chosen staff, that if all else failed. She would indeed used the Gate to her advantage.
"Where is it?!" she nearly barked with excitement.
"In the Realm of the Spirits...?" was the very puzzling reply.
What is it doing there? Setsuna though, her almost happy continence changing to stoic.
This exploit could potentially be far more diffcult than anything she had done before, well except mastering her evil half (but that's another story for another time!). Why was fate so cruel?
I need that key, She thought, I'll have to pay for it with blood.
