In the middle of a grassy meadow Eritas waited. Her senses keen, her vision capturing the expanse of the sky, watching the sun rise as four moon set in adjacent sections of the sky. She heard as the dew drops trickled down the small blades of grass, as well as listening to the hum of the the smaller organisms that encompassed the nature of her native realm, pygmy dragons the size of insects and other lifeforms frolicking to and fro. Eritas felt the cool and gentle breeze on her skin, her pale blond hair slightly blowing on her face as well as behind her, only to rest at her shoulders when the wind died down. Near her was a solitary sword, plunged into the earth.
It was here she met Mahatub, a noble of the the Draconic Race, one of the last people to see her father alive. It was he who informed her that her father had returned to the Flux many moons ago, returned to her his personal Broadsword, and here he promised to divulge to her the name of the person who slew him when she came of age.
As she waited, her patience began to grow short. Full and both angst and excitement, she waited there for any sign, any word that the dark and imposing figure would show himself to her again. AS she stood there, the peaceful and tranquil scene began to unravel. The sky began to cloud, and the dew drops began to freeze on the blades of grass. She seemingly stood on a field of glass frustrated that the information she sought had not arrived yet.
"Where is he? He said he would be here today, and I have waited for so long. Why has he not shown himself." Eritas said, her voice erratic and stressed. Hey eyes sharpened as she heard the sounds of footsteps from a hundred feet away. The draconi came closer to and yet she remained stationary, sensing that it was a Dragonkin that grew closer, sure that whoever approached posed no threat. "He had wings in his natural form, so why does he walk, unless..." Eritas trailed off, turning in the direction of the advancing person. When they came into view, it was revealed to be a Draconi servent, of the Messenger caste. Eritas began to fidget slightly, already uneasy because the person she waited for had not arrived.
Stopping in front of Eritas, the Draconi blinked its eyes, kneeling before her as it repeated Mahatub's message word for word. ""Go forth, find Eritas and tell her the Hellion King of the fifth Layer, Yamazaki Rei killed her father." The messenger said, its forked tongue slurring its speech.
As he face grew serious, she looked at the Messenger and walked closer, standing directly over him. "Who is it that sent you slave?" she inquired, her hands trembling.
"Lord Mahatub, eldest of the Goddess Tiamat." The minion hissed.
"I know everything I need now, I shall drink the marrow of my father's killer." Eritas said, her eyes now transfixed. Looking at the minion, she contemplating killing it, but declined and sent it on its way. Walking now, she stopped, looking to the sky of the Umbra, her look changing dramatically, "Roma, my dear Roma. I promised you I would never leave our home, but I must go now to avenge my father. I am sorry my love." Eritas said, wiping the few tears that accumulated in her eyes.
"Slave!" Eritas yelled out, stopping the Draconi minion. Walking over to it, she looked it in it's eyes and began to speak. Remain here, tell Roma to find me in the Fifth layer of Hell, tell him I am sorry." She said, watching as the messenger remained. As the weather calmed, Eritas grabbed her fathers sword, and leaped into the sky, her Phoenix linage allowing her to defy gravity as she flew to the Path of Gates, off to find the one known as Yamazaki Rei, to avenger the death of her father, the Dragon Knight Tin'be.
