Tomoyo was visiting the fifth layer again, but not with the baby this time. She was carrying a small chest in her hand, inlaid with white gold and all sorts of carvings.
Heaving a sigh, Tomoyo climbed the steps to her best friend's castle, hoping that the Rai-ou was out and about, training her military personnel or completing some work around her palace. Anything that would give Tomoyo and Ren some privacy for the duration of her conversation with him would be good enough. Rapping the knocker on the large door, Tomoyo knew that she would have to summon her internal strength to do this, but it was something that she knew that she would have to do...
