It was the first time she had visted the Infernal realm and Houka was pretty damn terrified that she would get her sould stolen or something.

Reika had ensured her that it wouldn't happen, should she ever feel the need to come down, but that really didn't make her any less scared.

Of course, to the outside observer, she looked perfectly calm and serene. One of the benefits of being Ookami--Even though you couldn't outright tell a lie, you could sure as hell bluff with the best of 'em.

She followed the escort that Reika had sent down to the gate of the layer and was instructed to wait until one of the Rai-ou's Lieutenants or the woman herself could open the gate from the other side.

She ignored the twitch in her eyebrow that occured whenever anyone referred to Reika as the "Rai-ou" or as "Yamazaki Rei". To Houka, the ruler of this layer of hell would always be known as Tsuzuki Reika, Kurotaiyou no Kenrou and the Youkai-oh, no matter how many changes and reincarnations her soul went through.

She settled down to wait on a nearby rock busying herself by playing with her tail.

"You know, normally, I would send someone else down here to do this, but rumor has it that you're so freaked out to be down here that you would rather become a vegetarian then ever set foot here again." Rei said as she sidled up the gate, sticking her hands in the pockets of her skirt to watch as Houka worried her tail.

It was a peculiar habit that she couldn't remember the other woman having had when Rei herself was still Okami, but she shrugged it off as just another of those things that had changed in the past thousand or so years.

"And to what, pray tell, do I owe this visit? The last time I saw you, you slapped me. You're supporting, Gin, which technically make you makes you my enemy." She put a hand to her chin and looked off into space "No, actually it just plain makes you my enemy period. Therefore, I'd be fully within my rights to leave you on the other side of this gate. " She wondered if she was doing an accurate enough job at hiding the pain she felt with righteous anger. She was soooo not in the mood to deal with specters from her past life at this particular moment...

Houka instantly went on gaurd as she sensed Reika approach the gates, she didn't get up from her rock, mearly turned around, she had a feeling that she would on this side of the layer for a while yet, and by the others tone and words, she had a feeling she was right.

"I was upset, yes, and lost control of my temper. What so do you expect when you come waltzing back into our lives demanding control. And it just so happens that I have NEVER supported Gin, and never will. Especially not after what she did to you!" She didn't like to lose her temper...Really...but Reika had always known exactly what buttons to push to make her fly off the handle. "If you want the Youkai-oh title back, you're going to have to earn our trust back. What make you think that we're just going to bow down to you again? You aren't even Ookami anymore!" She hadn't meant to say that last part, not at all for the insult contained therein but she had and now she knew she face Reika's temper which has always been easy to set off. And rumor had it that it had only gotten worse since she had become a King of Hell.
