Arashi's body was unstable without the flow of chaos to keep him steady. His body had come to rely on the energy that made him as he was and now it was close to becoming more unstable then it was to start with. Of course it wasn't going to take him long to regain consciousness so he was going to be fine. He saw Ranmyaku in his dream just as his mind drifted between awake and asleep. He was on the table for ten minutes after the operation was completed.
She is finished but why are you forming your wings now Arashi. It would seem peculiar to any hellion to see white wings on what appeared to be a Djinni.
He warning surprised Arashi and he responded in his dream state with surprise showing.
I am not trying to do that. My wings are acting on there own in that case. This isn't right, I should be able to control them.
His wings slowly turned into their feathered form. The feathers seemed to wrap the smoky haze of his Djinni wings and solidify to form a new set of wings. Because it was slow the process took an entire minute and seemed to happen in a swirling motion as his wings formed from the base to the tips. He woke slowly after the wings were just about completely solid and rose from the table in a daze, but with obvious worry as to what his wings had done.
He tried to dissolve his wings back into the haze state, but as he was getting over the effects of the sleeping magic cast on him he was unable to do so. In his frustration he beat his great white wings, knocking the table over by mistake and then sat on the floor. He tried to regain his thoughts as the flow of chaos in his body returned to normal. He forced the his blood to scab up on his wound and also accelerated the healing of his flesh. With the bones mended he could easily close the wound. He looked up wondering if Yomi would enter looking for the cause of the crash and find the white winged Arashi struggling to fully regain the flow of chaos in his body.
"I guess I'll just have to wait it out until then huh?"
Yes you will, it seems altering the flow and leaving it as such for to long will have a lasting effect. Be careful from now on

Leiko was here to do a simple job: clean up the experimental surgery room. Nothing more, nothing less. She worked for Yomi as a reseracher; she was pretty smart and she liked studying how things worked on the inside. She wasn't cruel--she wasn't Yomi, by any means--and she figured that this would be rather simple. Instead she came into the room only to find an upright sitting in there. And she knew that the one thing that Yomi hated the most about Heaven were Uprights. Startled by the appearance of one in Yomi's castle, Leiko backed up to the nearest wall, her horns hitting an open cabinet door and causing her to fall, a blank expression on her face. She should've been watching her surroundings, and now she would probably die. She had no skill with magics, and she knew that there was no chance for herself to live any longer than this moment. Still, she desperately tried. Where had Yomi gone? Where were the other guards of the house?--all protecting the other laboratories, of course... She really was going to die. "Stay away from me!!!" she cried. She hoped that she was loud enough for someone to hear her. "You stupid upright!!! Don't touch me!!"

Arashi was struggling to reestablish the natural flow of his chaos magic when there was a crashing noise and he turned around. He gave up on the futile attempt to fix his wings, accepting what he knew was fact. He had kept the flow too low and now he was an apparently an upright for awhile. It was ironic really, that he was unable to repress the sign of supposed good when he was such a twisted bastard. Yet, it wasn't like he disliked the wings, he just didn't want to look like an upright in the realm of the fallen. He was very much afraid at the noise he'd heard and it was all over his face when he turned around.
He saw her then, as she stared at him with the purest fear. She almost looked like she feared for her life, and for a moment he didn't understand why. Though, Arashi soon realized that he didn't very likely look like a friend to many of Hell's people. She cried out for him to stay away from her and he was hopeful that no one heard her scream.
"Hey hey.. hold on there Babe. I'm, well..."
He couldn't really say he wasn't an upright, he'd never fallen. He really didn't know where he stood, he'd never been to heaven. He just sighed and attempted to look as friendly as he could.
"I'm not going to hurts you. Yomi-sama just patched me up is all."
Yeah..she'd not going to buy that kid.
Arashi sighed again and folded his wings behind him and sat on the table.

"Hey, hey, what's going on in here?" Came a firm voice. Leiko recognized it, and scrambled to her feet just as another figure entered through the door, sword drawn. "Kill him, ane-chan! He's an upright!" Leiko said, crossing her arms. The figure who had entered was named Karin, another one of Yomi's scientists. "Hold on, little sister. He may not be. Perhaps he has newly fallen and hasn't gotten used to things yet. I'm sure that if were an upright, Yomi-san would not have allowed him into the castle in the first place. How would have have gotten through the barriers and the traps?" Leiko glared at Karin now, "But Karin, what--" "You would be dead now, if he was an upright, anyway, and he probably wouldn't be here." Karin sheathed her sword. "Why are you still here?" she asked.

The whole situation was bothersome, and Arashi was feeling rather moody. He had just taken a rather wrathful soul into himself and the effects weren't quite done yet. He glared at his hands and wrapped his wings around him for a moment as the sisters squabbled. He didn't feel like hearing it, if he had to fight he would, but he was sure Yomi would be pissed about him fighting her staff. They began to talk about what he was or might be, and the fact that he was currently between fallen and finding out what fallen really was made him feel all the more bothered. Finally however he was addressed by the smart one with a cool head and he folded his wings again. He turned and looked at her smiling.
"Well I'm here because I came with black wings, and now they're white. You see... I don't much see that as a good thing, and until they're black again I don't feel safe wondering about the realm. You mind telling me what you feel the difference between a fallen and an upright is?"
He was curious now, what exactly was the difference and why was it such an important thing? He stared intently at the two, the usual chatter in his head was still at the question. It seemed even the sprite hadn't the answer to his question. The moment he got what he wanted he'd leave though, he had business to attend to in heaven. He had an itching feeling that he should tell the people of heaven that their king had passed. He wouldn't say how but he needed them to know, he was annoyed y the need to go but it should pass if he went.

"You will tell him nothing," Yomi said, walking into the room. "Get out of my sight, you incompetent fool," she said, her glare directed exactly at Leiko, who burst into tears before running out at Yomi's cold words.
"And you..." she said to Karin. "Good work. Now leave." and the tall woman did as she bid as well.
Yomi paced around the room, glancing back at Arashi every few seconds. "I leave for ten minutes and you already manage to scare a little girl. What the fuck is your problem? Do you know how to just--sit, and be patient? Can you do that for ten minutes? I suppose you're fluctuating between fallen and upright now. As for the difference, no one will tell you. That is a matter for your parents to explain. And while I may be your King, I am not any relative of yours and nor is anyone else in this place. I suggest that you go home and cry on mommy's shoulder until she tells you. You dabble in dangerous magic, you almost get yourself killed--and you're nothing but a boy! Nothing but a spec on a feather duster. You need to study, and learn, and practice. None of this carefless tomfoolery that got you in my town. You have not chosen a side. I like that; its wise for now. You can switch when you need to, until you can see the side that will win. I see that. But you have no control, and no respect for my home or my kindness. Now, CONTROL THOSE WINGS or I will throw you out of here and let the villagers who think that you are a traitor have you. Do it. Now."

Arashi watched in shock as Yomi reentered the room on the warpath. He had no idea why she was so flustered and it did bode well on his feelings. He was already agitated by the consuming desire to visit his first home, or... his fathers first home. It was a pang of nostalgia he couldn't understand and he was trying to clear it from his head. Yomi paced about in an obviously heated mood and kept glaring at him. He couldn't figure out what had annoyed her so much, unless his wings were the issue. Though, that tall chick didn't have much of a problem with him.
Her rant started suddenly and Arashi was quickly insulted. He hadn't scared her, that idiot walked in and started screaming on her own. And his alignment was not exactly that easy, or was it. He simply listened to what the king told him, trying not to look too bothered. She wasn't going to tell him what the difference between a fallen and an upright was. She was apparently not his mother, nor his keeper. Though, as his mother and father were both dead he really wasn't in the position to cry to anybody. Hell, he'd lost two set's of parents in his years. he'd killed his father just before tumbling into this town. The only reason he dabbled in magic was because he had been forced to live with a sprite inside him. Was she was telling him that everything he couldn't avoid was him being reckless?
Then it came to her last point, the wings. His wings only ended up like this because he turned down the potency of his chaos. He was sure that a good ten minutes had passed by now, maybe he could try again. He stood and wrapped his wings around him and focused on the task at hand. He could feel the magical energy and it was distant now. He had forced it away and this would be the first time dragging it back. He pulled at it and attempted to restart it.
Try a bit harder Arashi.
He smirked hearing the words of his sprite, she had only said what he was thinking. He didn't much like the thought of fighting off a gang of angry Djinni without his power. That fact alone gave him just the push he needed to grip the control of his magic. In an instant his white wings poofed into smoke. The little explosion flicked out around him before circling him again. He dropped the amount of chaos he'd forced into his wings to a mild dose as to not instantly destroy whatever was near him. Then he looked to Yomi, pondering what he'd say.
"Sorry about that. I've only known I was an angel for about a month, it's still new to me. And dear old dad's the reason my chest was open wide. He wasn't in the mood to discuss the difference between fallen and upright while he had his soul. He really didn't seem to like me much, that was the... third time he failed to end my life I think."
Arashi frowned as he accessed the memories of the fight, he noticed his fathers memory of the situation as well. He even remembered killing his mother, and binding the chaos sprite. He smirked though wondering what he should do now, what could he study? How the hell was he supposed to learn? Was there some kind of school?
"I just... I think I'll be going now. Your cute when your annoyed though. You talk all mean, I'm flattered that you would care enough to yell at me."
He grinned, knowingly playing around. He was young, she had him on that, so he would act as any youth does in front of a girl he thinks is hot. He'd fuck with her until she swings and vanish to a different place. Most likely behind her so he could fuck with her some more.
"I'm an orphan... so maybe you could smother me with hugs and kisses. I won't complain, I promise."
He was sure avoiding wouldn't be so hard, he might not have the power to fight her though. He was confident in his herethere ability though.

Yomi frowned as he began telling his life's story. Was that supposed to make her feel sorry for him?
But, she looked him up and down, he seemed to be of some use. He seemed to actually have some sort of rare power. The fact remained that she still hadn't seen anyone with blood properties the way that he did, and she needed to figure out what he was doing to get it that way.
"You are going to stay here until you are full healed," she said simply, not showing any of the thoughts that had preceeded the comment.

He had figured she wouldn't care about what he said and he didn't really care anyhow. She wasn't very warm, even if he felt a strange attraction to her. Arashi found himself wondering why he'd even tried. Her mention of him staying till completely healed struck him as peculiar to say the least. Seeing her as the same female that had hurled him across the foyer and dragged him through town after kicking him in his open chest, he felt oddly creeped out by any sign of concern. He looked at her with a slight curiosity before he shook his head, refusing her offer.
"Sorry but I'll be leaving now. I'm healed up fine, and I'm not too sure me being in your place is the best thing for my health."
He smirked thinking of how creepy it would have been to remain here. She had already proven that she could subdue him by stealthy means, so he was sure he wasn't altogether safe with Yomi. She wasn't the best of caregivers in any case, not to mention she had just threatened to feed him to a town of angry Djinni. Trust was not her biggest ally right now, so much so that he backed away from her instead of turning to leave.

He shook his head. No one had ever refused an offer from Yomi and she was very insulted. He would rather leave than stay in the company of the best King of Hell that there ever was? Really. This boy didn't know what he was messing with. He even had the audacity to back away from her as though he was afraid.
"You are not going anywhere," she said, and as she said those words, Nectar, her spirit familiar, appeared in the doorway, just behind Arashi's back.
"Do you know how often I offer my hospitality to the people who walk into my layer? None. And I will not have you refuse me now that I've actually put something like that out there."
What was that that Sanada was always telling her? Oh, Yomi...be nice. It'll make people like you better. You're always so uptight...
Yomi crossed her arms to the memory of Sanada's words. Damn her. Damn her to the deepest pits of--fuck, I can't even say that!
She was still not going to be like that to this boy. Being nice would have made things...awkward, she supposed. And she sort of liked this kid's spunk.
"Look, I'm not going to let you go? I wouldn't have to throw you to the Djinn if you go out there. They'll come to you. You're safer here. Besides, these are my borders. If I say that you can't leave, you can't leave." Oh, Yomi...be nice. It'll make people like you better. The words echoed again and she sighed, not believing that she would say such a thing, "...what I mean is, I would appreciate it if you stayed."
She hoped that her request--even though she should have been giving orders--would appease him.

Arashi sighed hearing Yomi speak. He knew he couldn't leave so easily right now. His travels this past little time had been rather tiring in any case and he had much left to do. He knew that he would need to rest before continuing on his journey to complete himself. Her offer started to seem less dangerous as he listened to her. She seemed utterly insulted to be refused in any way, which Arashi took as a very good way to tease her later. Well, considering he was able to think a try to be worth it. Not to mention him getting into it with the hellion Kings was likely not good for his shaky relationship with Tomoyo.
"So... I guess I can't refuse such a sweet offer from such a beautiful woman too harshly. I'll stay awhile then"
He felt the pulse of chaos shake him as Ranmyaku became enraged at his choice. Ranmyaku didn't understand his crush, nor did she enjoy it. It was worse that he'd chosen this woman of all people to be his crush.
Arashi, you better not stay the night here boy. This woman is untrustworthy and dangerous. I care nothing of the feelings you may harbor, the first wrong move and.. well I'll be very angry
Arashi chuckled at Ranmyaku's words as it was truly the most empty of threats. Arashi smiled and walked closer to Yomi bowing lightly and taking her hand in his, kissing the back of her hand as he looked up into her eyes. The deep pools of glittering black gazing fully into Yomi's. The shine of his eyes almost seemed to reflect the wild chaos in his being.

He awkwardly stammered that he would stay, and that decision made Yomi happy. She had finally been able to prove to herself that she had the ability to be courteous to at least some beings, regardless of what that stupid conniving Rei would say.
He even bowed a little, kissing her hand, and while she wanted to relish in the attention, and cleared her throat saying, "Ah, that's not necessary..." she said with a bit of awkwardness herself, not sure how to shy away from attention that she thought she deserved.
She looked away from his face. "I don't typically trust people, as you can see, so...ah...I'm not quite sure how this is going to work. I'll be assigning you someone to...ah...make sure that you don't get into my private matters while I'm not in the house. I'm sorry, but until I get used to you and you get used to where you're not supposed to go in this manor that's how things were going to be. You'll be sleeping in my room as well, that way I can keep an eye on you. My room has it's own cooking facilities though I don't typically use them, a bathroom and whatever else you need will be added. I just...ah...again, I'm not used to welcoming strangers into my home. The last time I bothered to trust anyone I died, so..."
She gently pulled her hand away from Arashi in a regal fashion befitting one of her stature, and then asked as an afterthought, "Uh, how are you feeling after surgery?"

He nodded in understanding to her words. He didn't much understand why she was trying to keep him. Though, he had the nagging feeling he'd end up being pricked and prodded as he stayed here. He rose from his bow and listened to her speak. He knew quickly that she didn't do this often, she seemed to be forcing it.
This chick has one hella big stick up her ass.
At least it looks like she's trying to get it out. You better stay on your guard dumb-ass. I don't like this at all. I won't even act like I agree with you staying here. And in her room no less. She makes it sound like you're her pet.
Arashi knew exactly what Ranmyaku meant. He agreed that she was far too adamant about him being on a leash of some sort. He understood the limitations, but it wasn't as if he would go wandering around. Though, he was sure she didn't know that he wouldn't be staying her all the time. He knew that as soon as his energy and health had returned fully he was off to find something else to do. His new memories offered him a lot of things to do. He wouldn't be able to sit here like a lap dog, regardless of how sweet she was forcing herself to be.
"I'm just fine. You fixed up all that was out of my ability to heal. I can speed the healing process the rest of the way now. I'll be fine completely in a day or two."
He sighed, he wasn't really sure what the hell he was doing by staying here.
You know why you're here ass... you want to be with the girl you like. You're such a useless child.
Yeah, I'm so useless that you gave me your soul to stay as part of me forever.

Yomi didn't have anything to say, really. It was obvious that he wanted to get away from her as soon as possible. She supposed that she could let him. After all, she had gotten her original objective--she had said something nice, and she had done something for the good of someone else.
"..."
She really didn't know what else there was to say. "Ah. I hope that you get better soon."
Something came over her, and the muscules tugged at her face until it formed something of a smile. Looking into Arashi's eyes, she could see her own reflection. It had been so long since she had actually smiled, she had forgotten what she looked like happy. And as she looked more and more, she thought she looked better with a smile.
I think...I think I shall use the expression more often...
And she smiled more brightly.

She... ... ... smiled
Arashi froze and visibly shook as he saw the shocking sight of Yomi's smile. He could only stare in awe and he felt a tingle in the back of his spine telling him that he had just seen something special. He really wanted to take a picture of the expression but he didn't have that ability so he did the next best thing. He moved swiftly and hugged yomi and snuggled up against her. He couldn't resist himself, and he wouldn't have tried to in any case. He squeezed her and grinned widely as he did so.
"Awwww. You're so cute Yomi-tan!!!!"
Though there was a high chance of him getting slapped or worse he couldn't help but hold.
Let go you dumb ass. If you keep this up you're going to be killed. Don't you know better you fucking nut

He seemed shocked to see her smile, and it almost made Yomi feel a bit bad. Had she become so hard that even a smile from her was rare? However, this youth didn't know her, so it was possible that the way she had introduced herself was the reason why he hadn't expected it. She would have to ask someone who knew--
And suddenly, he lunged at her. She hadn't been worried about an attack so her defense had been down. And he had hugged her. Her body physically cringed, something that had happened unvoluntarily. She wasn't used to people touching her--it had been such a long time...
"Awwww. You're so cute Yomi-tan!!!!"
And the moment ended when he opened his mouth. She grabbed his arms, forcefully removing them from around her. "Ah, okay. First of all, there will be no "Yomi-tan". You're older than a child, I believe, so none of those weird sufffixes that Humans use. I'm known as Yomi or Yomi-sensei. That's it. Nothing else."

Arashi was that he wasn't instantly rejected and slapped away, though he didn't have to wait long. After his words left his lips she was instantly dragged from her stupor. She didn't like his choice of words, and apparently that had annoyed her. It was funny though that she wasn't too aggressive in pushing him away. In fact, she only moved his arms from her body. He was still relatively close, and to him that meant something. He felt that he had a bit of a chance as long as she warmed up to him a bit every now and then. He could even help her research his blood if that was what she wanted.
What the hell is she talking about. This chick is older the hell itself and she says you're not a child. Kid.. don't get a big head, you're not old enough to drink yet, you're definitely a child to this hag.
Arashi wasn't as indignant as he was disappointed. He was now annoyed which himself for ruining the moment that he knew wouldn't happen again with ease. He would have to work at his game a hell of a lot with Yomi. There was not often a chance to touch this woman, let alone embrace her. He smiled and looked at her without as much of the self loathing he felt.
Dammit why didn't I just keep my mouth shut.
Shut up
He stepped back a bit and sighed.
"Sorry Yomi. In any case, could you show me to your room then? I want to rest a bit."

He apologized for his actions, something that Yomi considered nice--she supposed--in a person. It was a good thing that he wasn't a subordinate, however, because he would probably be dead.
Without saying anything, she turned abruptly and led him up the winding stairs of her castle, going straight down the hall on the next floor to her room. It was regularly sized, simply because she couldn't bare having extravagant quarters. It was simple, with a dresser for clothes on one side, a bed and night stand on the other, and a window behind the bed. On the right of the room, there was a door that connected with a kitchen, and on the left, a bathroom. Nothing mroe could possibly be needed.
"I'll summon another bed for you," Yomi said, "whatever style you prefer--I have to resources for it, and this room is rather empty, now that I take the time to think about it..."

Without a word Yomi headed off in the direction he suspected was her room. He hoped he hadn't pissed her off too badly already, but as he was still sleeping in her room he didn't mind so much. He started to think of what exactly he might be able to get out of this little arrangement. If he slept near her he might be able to catch her changing, or other stuff. there was a lot he might happen upon in his stint in her room. In all honesty he was expecting to see her personality shine out in her decoration and such.
The room was bare when he finally arrived. He thought that it may have been a joke, though he was sure she wasn't so comical. He looked around and saw that there was only bare necessity in the room, no more. In fact there may have actually been less. She put no effort in self comfort apparently and he really had to stop, blink, and stare for a few moments before he understood her words. She would summon up another bed huh?
"You don't need to do that do you? Shouldn't your bed be enough?"
He was being very forward but what could he say, it slipped out. Arashi wondered what she would say in any case, he was sure he wouldn't get a response any way. She might just leave and take it as it was. He had meant to jest, but the comment was obviously sexual. Though, as a celestial for whom sleep isn't a requirement there was a chance she would merely think hat they could use the one bed on the off chance rest was needed.

[we should probably finish this up...I think we've met the objective of this thread]
"You don't need to do that do you? Shouldn't your bed be enough?"
Yomi knew that he was just toying with her, teasing her to get a reaction. Well, she had had her fill of all of that for the day and she was rather done with playing along now that her credibility had been boosted a touch.
So she answered, suppressing the biting comment under her tongue, "Yes, I suppose that would be more efficient, wouldn't it? If you don't mind, I would like to go along with your suggestion. I don't want you to start thinking you're some sort of commodity. One bed shall be enough. Just make sure that you keep to the side that you choose and that you sleep with garments on and we'll be fine. I know what the lot of your Mortal-raised types do, and I don't stand for it here. None of these games that you types usually play. I will give you a tour of the castle tomorrow, if you like. If that is all, I'll be on my way to choose who it is that will be guiding you around for now..."
