Tomoyo stood in the middle of her throne room, which had been cleared out for the purpose of her training session with the Elves. It had been a while since had done anything with them magic wise--combat wise, she had been practicing fencing with them everyday that she wasn't doing something towards stemming the issues between Heaven and Hell. It really wasn't something that Tomoyo was interested in, but she needed to keep her skils up nonetheless in case of a surprise attack of sorts. Besides, it gave the Elves something to do other than screw with the structure of her castle.
But today they were doing something different; Tomoyo's inherent magical ability had allowed her to contruct the bowels of Hell with collaboration from the Elves. But now, she was going to learn how to manipulate the Realm itself, to twist objects into existence where they shouldn't be without the aid of her Element; to be allowed to shift doors as the Elves did and to make her own castle a maze that not even the most intelligent being could escape from. She was going to learn how to mold the threads that wove the Realm into the way that it was today, and she was very excited about it. The Elves seemed to do it with their own Realm as easily as a baby cried, and she hoped to one day live long enough to achieve that level of skill with her magic.

Alvar was the first to enter the room, his sword out as though they were going to physically fight. There really wasn't going to be a fight, of course, but he liked the idea of scaring the Yami-ou witless. She was always so calm now--she used to get angry when he teased her, but now there was nothing he could do to get the same response. Going through some of the random bullshit with Shoko and Chiyo had quieted her; he didn't like that at all.
"Well, well, Tomo wants to know how to control what she made? Trying to take the hold from me, are you?"
He was not longer expecting a response from her, but he hoped that she was going to do something about it and learn something for a change. Aside from making her squirm, he also thought it nice to have the Yami-ou in the student position and not the teacher or the leader.
"Ready to do this?"

Tomoyo closed her eyes, clutching her stomach. She was showing now...almost six months into her pregnancy and breaching what the Humans had labeled her "third trimester". She felt rather...weird. She knew nothing about carrying a child, and she had the vague feeling that there should have been something else that she needed to do with herself. "I'm as ready as I am going to be," she said, smiling. "But...go easy on me, okay? I'm with child you know..." Honestly, Tomoyo wanted to learn this as quickly as possible. She could feel herself weakening a little; she supposed that carrying a child took more energy than she thought. And if she could feel herself weakening a little with only one child, that made her ponder what Chiyo must have felt like while she was in the process of carrying the twins...

Alvar rolled his eyes. Pregnant my ass. You will still learn this the way that I wanted you to originally. You're Sanada Tomoyo, aren't you? Why don't you step up and learn the way that I want."
He was irritated now, not having gotten the response that he wanted again this time. "Look, you know how it felt when you were channeling your magic into my mom? You have to do that. Summon your power to the tips of your fingers and pull. It's really not that hard. The only reason why my brothers and sisters have been able to move everything around in here is because we're distantly connected to this layer through our mother--well, that and you're not stopping us. You can easily keep us from moving things around--just will the layer's properties not to move. That's all. Lock them so that only your hands can change things. No one else's."
Alvar wasn't sure that his directions were getting into Tomo's thick mind, so he kept going. "I'm going to ask you to form a door right in front of you. Reach with your magic, like you do with your element or whatever--and move a door here. But you won't just be moving the door, you blockhead--you have to move the entire location. Now do it."

"Hmmm..." Tomo said, thinking about the set of instructions that she had been given. She wished for the fraction of a moment that she was still a rookie, at the point where feeling the magic flowing through your fingertips was so wonderful and it felt like an accomplishment.
Reaching for the same room that she had prepared for Arashi a few weeks ago--he was still gone, so she was sure that he wouldn't mind-- she summoned the door to appear in front of her. She thought of the interior of the room as she summoned it, and tried her best to bring it along with the door.
"There," she said, "I did it."

Alvar looked at the door. "It looks sound..." he said sarcastically, "but why don't we see what's going on inside the door."
Walking over to where it was, he looked at it, walked around it, and opened it. There was nothing in it--a clear path to the other side.
"Fail. Do it again. And do it right."
