[Takes place after Black Night]

Shadow rested in the office of the Devil Saints, once again alone but not for long. Runa and Sara would be there as soon as they were done with whatever things that they needed to do were handling along with the Machimachi. It was long and drawn out battle but in the end, Shadow cut the Mononoke head off, leaving it near the destroyed castle.Now it was time for the Machimachi to hold up their end of the deal and reveal the hints to the humans that know about The War.


But Shadow had a bad feeling stemming from the beginning of this whole deal with Tomoyo. There were still unanswered question such as the most important one of all: why did Tomoyo wanted human names?

He was almost too afraid to ask that but he needed to when the time came for it.

As the door of his office opened, Shadow slowly opened his eyes to see who it was.

[Akuma Sara]

"I'm here," Sara called out as she pushed the door with her right shoulder gently, "I got the folder like you ask too. Do you know how many folders my department holds--too many if you ask me but we are Information gathers so I guess I shouldn't complain about it." she shurged her shoulders and plopped down on the black couch in front of her.

"Has Runa come back yet with the Machimachi head leaders yet? I'm ready to get this over with." Sara looked down.

Something was on her mind and she knew that if she kept it in her head, Shadow would feel it and ask her anyway.

"Shadow," she said softly almost to a point of a whisper, "When we give Tomo this information, whats going to happen...to us. I mean, are they really going to start this War and are we going to do something about it?"

Shadow looked up at the ceiling fan above him. It was question that Shadow knew all too well. It was on that he kept thinking about ever since day deal he made with Lady Tomoyo.

"I really do wish I know the answer to that," he said as he made his glare at Sara's "But to tell you the truth, I don't know where we stand. If it was my right, I wouldn't even have this war but like all other people here on this earth, there are things we can control and others we can't. Its up for them to see things through with this War. Maybe Tomoyo has a plan with this, maybe she is trying to stop it."

Shadow got up and sat next to Sara, if not a few inches away from her, "All we can do is trust in our selves like we had always did and hope. Its...what Dad would have wanted it."

Just then, Shadow's phone rang.

"It must be them..."

[Machimachi--Group Account]

Quinn heard the click that accompanied the answering of a phone. His deep and melodious voice rang through the line as he said, "You know who we are, Devil Saints. You have helped us immensely. And now it is our turn to make these things even. You may ask us any one question, and will aid you to the best of our abilities in terms of finding its answer. We will allow you to choose the question, since it was you who were so kind as to exterminate the Mononoke for us."

Behind him, Lavi made a sound under his breath. It couldn't be heard on the phone, but the voice still reached Quinn's sensitive ears. "Psh. He only got that kill because he stole it from Kilara. It means nothing to take down an opponent if you have someone who isn't from your own group holding off those stupid Humans with guns. He couldn't have done shit without us..."

Quinn shot Lavi a look, letting him know that the shishi youkai had heard every word of what had been said. Turning his attention back to the phone, he said, "So, little Human, what is it that you would like to ask?"

Shadow ignored the insult flung at him. Now was not the time to act petty, it was a time of business. Something that he had been hoping for a long time:

A lead.

He cleared his throat as he thought of the best way to word his question, wondering why it took him so long to even think of one. He only had one shot at this and he was never good with only one.

Taking a deep breath and clearing his throat again, he asked,

"What are the names of humans that you know of that know about the up coming War between heaven and Hell?"
