-Jin are a set of races that have been created by Draconic magic mixing with that of the Mortal. -Jin races are groups of creatures with Humanoid structures but animalistic features, such as fur in place of skin, the faces of animals, claws, teeth, etc. however, these creatures usually possess aposable thumbs like Humans and can thus function in the same way, walking on two legs instead of four like their base counterparts, and are structurally identical to Humans from the neck to the ankles, exempting fur, markings, etc.
Unlike the Youkai, these creatures live in individual families instead of tribes, and they do not possess the ability to change form or take on the "half-form" that youkai have, possessing ears and tail but completely Human bodies. Despite this setback however, many -Jin wear clothes and such like Humans do. Also, unlike youkai, -Jin are not limited to specific races of animals in term of formation and development. There are only a handful of species of youkai, but there can be found a -Jin for almost any existing animal on the earth.
-Jin do have the ability to change form into a small form of the animals that they originate from. Usually this form is used to hide from wandering Humans.
Because of the inability to hide themselves from Humans, these are races that keep themselves in seclusion; The majority of these races remain in the Mythical Realm with the other outsted creatures. Of those who remain in the Mortal Realm many races have entire portions of areas that are heavily guarded to keep Humans out in the Mortal Realm. Some -Jin run entire cities, which are not recorded on modern day Human maps because of heavy shielding.
-Jin are typically very hard to find for that very reason. Seeing one is supposed to bring you fortune in the future.
