[Death]

Death stepped into the middle of the scene of an accident in an urban city street. His red traveling cloak billowing behind him as the black lenses of his sun glasses reflected the flashing lights of the various cars. The traffic on the street had been stopped due to the battered body strewn out on the cement. Death walked up to the man standing down staring at his mangled body. the spirit was in tears and trying to speak to the police around him. the many bistanders seemed to be in awe of the sight. death looked around at the people who saw him as invisible.

"Humans.. such a morbid species. How can one be fascinated by the death of his own kind. and in this shameful end at that. To throw ones life away, pathetic. suicides always piss me off."

death took out the list and looked to the weeping spirit who none could see without a spirit elemental alignment. As such the humans were blind to the man. Nora came from nowhere and stood beside Death, hugging on his arm. Normally she wouldn't be so brave, but Sa'Des was absent from the area on an errand for their master. Death paid her little mind as he checked the name and opened the portal for the spirit.

"Step in dumb ass. you already know what happens to a human body after a seven story fall. Such a pathetic end, didn't you ever think of trying to make things better? Your kind disgust me. Hurry into the portal before I escort you in."

"Don't you think that was a little mean Honey?"Nora asked sweetly.

"It is not your place to speak woman." Death responded, his mood soured by a doubled workload and the disgusting dishonorable behavior of these humans.

He glared at the spirit and the man quickly leaped into the portal. death looked around at the pleased crowd with disgust and steppped through a portal of his own. The swirling vortex of his energy that lead to his next destination would stay for roughly ten seconds before vanishing, plenty of time for any creature that was able to see him to follow.

[Kensuke Kimachi]

On a leisure trip to earth to get a feel of humans and their world, Kensuke walked the streets of a large city. He has learned a lot about the customs and cultures of man from his many visits. To him they are odd yet interesting creatures that if given the right time can become something great. As he walks down a street passes a semetary on his right. 'There appears to be a funeral in progress", Kensuke says as he stops to look at the people. "Why do they spend so much time morning death but never take any precautions to stop it. They carlessly do things to themselves to throw their own lives away and yet people still are surprised and sad when a person like that dies. Humans truely are a bizzar group", Kensuke says as he countinues on his way.

Arriving at a cross walk, Kensuke spots something extremly odd. Their was a crowd of people standing around a mangled corps. Wondering what was going on he slowly crept closer to the scene, noticing a man in a red cloak standing over the body. He appeared to be talking to someone but Kensuke could not see anyone else that even seemed to notice him. Walking closer to the cloaked man, Kensuke saw him open up some sort of portal in the middle of every one and walk into it.

"What the hell? Now I know that's normal for humans to do that", Kensuke thought as he reached the location of the portal. Looking at the portal he noticed it was closing up. He was about to let it close but his sence of curiosity wouldn't let that happen, as he just jumped into it off of impulse, clearly not knowing where he was heading.

The portal to the next destination seemed to be a a thin filament of space from one place to another and death simply stepped into the exit. The moment he reached the other side her walked through the door to a Japanese hospital. A gunshot victim or three needed to be checked off and Death was behind. There was no time to waste on the extra bull. Without a look behind him he strolled in and checked the list of the three names belonging to present spirits. With a bit of modification of the present each portal opened beneath the souls and dragged them in without enough time for question. Death felt slightly better now that he'd nearly caught up. He'd taken care of the emergencies, and all irreversible in dire need of transport were taken care of.

"Now we can take a moment to break?" Nora's sweet voice called to him as she floated along beside him on her back.

Death sighed and looked to the spirit and shook his head. He had only just caught up, he'd need to work three times as fast in order to get a break. He sighed and opened another portal of swirling energy and moved through it without further time wasted. The lucky thing about this way of travel was that it saved him seconds wasted and allowed him to keep up with the workload fairly well.

"I'll be unable to take a break at all this week I'm sure."

"How about I arrange a few of the souls to "luckily" appear in one place?"

Death offered a smile as they arrived in the middle of the Australian Outback. The souls that would likely have been separated a few hundred feet by the crash happened to appear right beside each other.

""This is why I love you Nora."

Death smiled and checked them off, again causing them to fall into the portal to the spirit realm before opening yet another portal. Nora swooped in and hugged hi neck, kissing his cheek as he strolled into the portal to his next location.
