Night Life [Ichigo/Open]

[Kensuke Kimachi]

[Takes place between " The Dead Shall Rise Again" and Kensuke's trip to the dream realm.]

Looking down on Earth from the moon, Kensuke and his brother begin to reflect upon his failed attempt at necromancy. " I don't understand brother. Why can't I control the damn body of one simple corpse. It shouldn't have been that hard, at least not for me". Kensuke asks his brother in a depressed tone.

" Remember what the Void spirit said man, you have to learn to control the primal side, the instinct of the body before you can do that. It was your first try any way so don't beat yourself up so much over it ok. Sheesh you're not perfect you know", Kimachi says in an attempt to cheer up his brother.

Looking down on the world they can see the billions of lights illuminating the planets night life, the glow coming from the Earth bouncing of the side of the moon. After a few more minutes of thinking, Kimachi decides on a plan to raise his brother's spirits.

"Hey man its been a while since we enjoyed Earths night life, we should totally go down there and have some fun with the humans. Besides you need the exposure to some one other than me for a change".

"I guess you're right, maybe we should go see what's happening". Kensuke reluctantly agrees.

Shifting control of the body to Kimachi, Kensuke and his brother open a portal to earth. Looking through the portal they spot a nice place to land on top of a large skyscraper in the center of town. No one would see them appear up there. Walking through the portal they emerge on the roof top of the building.

"Well here we are, now all we need is some new threads, I'm tired of these". Kimachi says as he looks into the window of a sleeping man in a room below him.

Looking into the man’s dream Kimachi saw what he was dreaming of. Apparently he was some sort of famous rock star performing at some concert in front of thousands off screaming fans. He was wearing some rather nice clothes and sporting a cool guitar.

" Now that's style, I think I'll borrow it". Kimachi says as he walks into the man’s dream and proceeds to take his clothes from him. With a wave of his hand, Kimachi and the man switched clothes almost instantly without even so much as taking off a shirt.

" Thanks man for the gear, latter". Kimachi says as he exits the man’s dream. The man woke up in his bed a little confused at what just happened. He looked around the room but didn't find anything so he just went back to sleep.

Mean while on the ground below the building stands Kimachi now dressed in the clothes from the man’s dream, singing a little tune.



"I'm too sexy for my shirt......., You can't beat the craftsmanship of this guitar man it looks great. Now if only I knew how to play it".

With his new clothes and instrument courtesy of some kind sleeper, Kimachi begins his night on the town.

[Sutemi Ichigo]

Sutemi Ichogo walked the streets listening to some music. He looked up to the sky and stopped listening to what he had been. He was thinking for a few minutes and then walked on again. He came to a sky scraper and looked up. It was very tall but he did not really care if it was or not just felt like looking.

He then looked back down and walked on till he saw a man with a guitar. He looked out of place with it. He did not care if the man looked like that. If that is how one likes to be let them be that way. He put his hands into his pockets and walked on humming the music he was listening to.

He did walk past the man that had a guitar. but swirved around him like he was a peice of junk in the road. All he was doing was on a walk and did not talk to anyone since he had music he could sing to or hum.

[Kensuke Kimachi]

As Kimachi looked at his new guitar he noticed someone walking his way. It was a young man listening to some music. He appeared to be lost in his own train of thought as he stared at the building behind him and then continued on his way toward where Kimachi was standing. He walk past Kimachi his hands in his pockets humming a tune.

Not sure what it was about the guy, Kimachi thought something different about. Having taken interest in the guy, kimachi attempted to make conversation.

Walking up to him and tapping him on his shoulder, Kimachi asked in a friendly voice, "Hey, if I may ask what would you be listening to"? Kimachi now looking him in the eye with a curious but relaxed look, his guitar straped to his back.

[Sutemi Ichigo]

Ichigo walked on ignoring him but realized it had been the man with the guitar and turned. He looked at him and took out the earphones and said to him, "What? Oh the music I am listening to... um just random stuff realy. Nothing too exciting only rock." he replied in a kind of a harsh tone.

He wasn't expecting anyone talking to him since he kept to himself mostly. He waited and looked at the guitar and wondered why the dude was carrying it with him. It must be hard to even do that. Walking for a long time with that on hand must be exausting.

[Kensuke Kimachi]

"Rock, that's cool I like virtually all kinds of music personally but rock is one of my favorites". Kimachi says to the guy with a leisurely smirk and cool tone in his voice. noticing he was looking at his guitar with an inquisitive look on his face, Kimachi took it of his back like a feather and showed it to him.

"You like guitars? I would guess since you like rock music. Feel free to give it a try, go head play a little something", Kimachi kindly insisted.

"Oh and by the way my name is Kimachi", he says as he places the instrument infront of him with a smile on his face.

[Sutemi Ichigo]

Ichigo looked at him. He did seem like the kind of guy that would like that stuff. He did a half smile and took the guitar. "Yeah I like them... I don't know if I can play well enough tho... but I can try." he said and tried to play something he heard before.

It did not sound awful or anything just very mello and it went to gether well enough to be called notes. He may not have known what he was doing but it seemed like he did. Ichigo smiled a little as he tried to play. It was different but he kinda liked it, "How's that?" he said handing it back to Kimachi, "Oh I am Ichigo."

"Great job Ichigo! That was pretty good for someone who doesn't play. With a little more practice you could be rockstar material". Kimachi says with a little bit of sruprise in his voice. Taking back his guitar, Kimachi starts to wonder more about the conservitive Ichigo.

"So my friend, are you from around here? I just sort of dropped in a little while ago and don't really know my way around here. I'm looking for places you could have a little fun and was wondering if you could so me around a bit. That is unless you're on a mission or something important".

Looking around the area Kimachi didn't really see anthing to do at this moment but he was hoping Ichigo would be able to help him with that.

"So what do you say friend"? Kimachi says smiling at Ichigo.

[Sutemi Ichigo]

Ichigo smiled at Kimachi. He may not have been good but he had a natural thing for sound. Ichigo then looked at him and said, "Thanks... and I am from a different place myself so I have no clue either." he rubbed the back of his head smiling. He then thought over being a rockstar. Not a very pleasant life if you kept to yourself... "Nah I may just stick to being a loner half the time... thinking it over being a rockstar sound kinda dull. And sure I guess we both can have a look around." he waited for Kimachi's reply.

[Kensuke Kimachi]

"Well then it looks like we are in the same boat here. Yes, let us have a look around". Kimachi says with a nonchalant demeanor as he tries to keep his excitement inside. Where do you suppose we head first? Maybe we should get something to eat I think I'm getting a little hungry, what about you? I heard that there is a nice dinner somewhere around her but I never actually have been to it. They are rumored to have some of the best food around and a young chef too. Have you wouldn’t happen to have heard of them have you”? Kimachi asks Ichigo, his stomach rumbling at the thought of food.

[Sutemi Ichigo]

Ichigo watched him. He could tell he was a bit rambunctious inside of himself, like a kid at an arcade. He then probed his mind for the answer. He had heard of it but wasn't sure where he had heard of it. He then just said to Kimachi, "I think so but I don't know the name." His stomach was rumbling a little more at the thought too.

Seeing that Ichigo was starting to get hungry made Kimachi even hungrier and the fact that neither one of them knew where they were going didn't make anything better. Looking around, Kimachi started to search for any signs of a place to eat since they might not find the one he mentioned. His stomach was growling even louder know with every passing second. It was really starting to get to Kimachi until he finally was able to make out a dinner down the seemingly endless street. The night lights of the town forming a bright path directly to the place.

Turning around and looking at Ichigo Kimachi ask, "well I don't know if that is the dinner I heard about but at this moment I'm to hungry to discriminate. I say we quickly make this walk so we can get some food", Kimachi says to Ichigo with a smile only to have it wiped off his face by the pain of his angry stomach growling.

Ichigo was getting even hungrier. So he thought quickly on it and said, "Might as well and go there. I don't feel like waling all over to find that place right now." Ichigo then tried to think of other things so he would not be hungry but it was of no use. Hs hunger was getting worse so he then said to him, "C'mon let's hurry berfore my stomache gets louder." he waited and looked in the direction of the place.

Unable to hold himself back any longer Kimachi begins running toward the dinner in hopes of obtaining a meal. Looking back at Ichigo's position he stops and thinks, "Why am I running when I can just snap my fingers and be there? There are no people out here to see me and even if there were it wouldn't matter to me at this point. The only problem is whether or not my friend here will get freaked out about it. I think I'll test it first", Kimachi says as he turns to Ichigo an extends his guitar off his back. "You don't feel like walking all that way do you? If not just touch the end of the instrument and we'll be there in a second. I know this may sound crazy but just trust me on this one", Kimachi says to Ichigo intending to flash teleport them to the dinner on contact with the guitar.

Ichogo then stared running himself but stopped when Kimachi did. He wonded why he stoped then he heard him say something about getting there faster. He would have snickered to himself but that would be rude. looking at the instrament then thinking to himself, Is this guy a nut or can he actually do that? Well I may have to trust him on this one... reaching his hand out to touch the guitar he hopped this wasn't some dumb move Kimatchi was trying to pull on him. He held it and waited. Whatever Kimatchi was going to do he'd better be able to pull it off.

[Kensuke Kimachi]

As Ichigo hesitantly grabed the guitar a black film enveloped them. In a flash of black light and aura, they appeared in front of the dinner. Still holding the instrument in his hand, Kimachi looked at Ichigo to see his reaction to what had just happend. With a suttle grin on his face he put his guitar back on his back and began to laugh.

"Well was that fast enough for you friend? I know you might not be used to traveling in this manner but as you can obviously see it is far more efficient than walking. Now if you don't mind I will get me some thing to eat. If you want anything its on me." Kimachi says to Ichigo as he turns and walks into the dinner, leaving the door open for Ichigo to follow.

Ichigo was surprised. He was now at the Dinner and in a few seconds flat at that!! Well it was cooler than what he could do at least. He let go of the guitar and followed Kimachi inside. His friend was also willing to pay for what he wanted. He then shut the door behind him and followed.

As soon as he walked in the door, Kimachi could smell the captivating aroma of the food being made inside. The very smell of it made his stomach growl with excitement and his mouth water with anticipation. He had been waiting for this for a while and now he was about to finally get what he wanted. Looking back at Ichigo as he followed behind him into the dinner, Kimachi scouted for a table to sit at.

Spoting one in the corner by a window he made his way over to the table. As he was walking he accidentally bumped into one of the waitresses taking orders. Her note pad fell to the floor and she stumbled a bit but was swiftly caought by him. "I'm sorry miss please allow me to get that for you", Kimachi said in a sincear voice as he picked up the pad.

"No its ok I shouldn't have been so clumsy", the waitress said as she took the pad from his hand.

"Thank you miss for being so understanding I will make shure to tell your boss good things about you before I leave. Mabey you will accompany me at that time for a drink if I may be so bold", Kimachi says with a wink and smile as he walks to his table turning and signaling Ichigo to come his way, the waitress blushing as she continues what she was doing, stumbling again as she turns to the back of the dinner.

[Sutemi Ichigo]

Ichigo followed and saw the table Kimachi found and sat down. He watched him talk to the waitress that he bumped into. He acted as if he was flirting with her. But it was funny to watch Kimachi talk to her. Ichigo wanted to say it but he would wait. He looked at Kimachi and waited for him to sit down. He began to hum while he waited. It was that tune he played on Kimachi's guitar earlyer. He also kind of tapped his fingers to it.

Taking a seat across from Ichigo, Kimachi sat back and grabbed a menu from the side of the table. Listening to Ichigo's rhythmic hum and tapping combination, Kimachi began to examine the dinner’s selection, now tapping and humming along with Ichigo in sync.

"Hamburger and French fries combo with large drink and complimentary dessert of your choice, now that sounds like what I want. I think I'll go with this, its simple and great, I just can’t wait to sink my teeth into its succulent and tender meat and sip my thirst quenching soda." Kimachi says as he begins to day dream about it, his stomach growling louder as he though deeper.

Finally snapping out of it he slid the menu over to Ichigo with a smile. "Ok now its time for you to decide what you are having." Kimachi said as he began to signal the waitress to take the orders.

[Sutemi Ichigo]

Ichigo looked at Kimachi as he sat down. His silly comment would have to wait till after they were finished eating. Hearing him tap and hum to what he was he then said, "If only you could play music well huh? I bet you'd be better at it than I am." then seeing the menu infront of him he picked it up. Reading it over a couple of times he decided to have something like Kimachi was having. "Hmmm... I guess I will have a Hamburger with French fries like you are just not te dessert combo." then he set the menu down in the midle of the table and glanced around.
