The Never-Ending Story [Elders, Heavenly Kings]

[Hanajima Satori]

Satori had called a summit of all available leaders at the time. He knew that they were all busy in one way or another with their personal endeavors, and so he would not force them all to be there. It was something of both small and large consequence, something that would eventually be taken to Kouzetsu, but for now he knew that if some of the Kings and other Elders were informed, they would spread the news in one way or another.

They were gathered in the meeting hall in the Seventh, the very same auditorium that had been used for Kouzetsu and every other Heavenly King's inaugaration. That being said, there was no event scheduled today and the place would be empty.

Standing there, lonely and on the stage, Satori tried to think of other, smaller issues that could be discussed with the Elders and Kings while they were here. The matter of New Kings, for example, and Oracle. Satori was not aware of whether or not Oracle had already seen Kouzetsu, but the least that Satori could do was tell them to be on their guard until Kouzetsu announced what The Oracle's status was. They could do nothing but be guarded well until then. Also, he would briefly bring up the Deus project. It was something that Satori wanted stopped, and he would take the opportunity to raise the question of whether or not it should be allowed at the moment. Since she was brought up at the meeting with Kouzetsu, he would be having a talk with Setsuna about her personal endeavors. He would also pose the question of the method that would be used to catch the criminal who desecrated the second layer of Heaven.

He would also ask about searching for Chiyo.

She was a king that Satori had always liked. She was gentle, but her temper had allowed her to deal with transgression effectively in situations where kindness was not always needed. This was important, and even if she only came back as an Elder to mold her powers, he wanted her back in Heaven. However, both this and the news that he was planning to be the center of the meeting could both cause negative reprecussions as far as Hell was concerned, and he would also discuss that.

Standing on the stage and gazing out into the expanse of the auditorium, he waited patiently for the others. They had a lot to discuss.

[Kouzetsu Gin]

Gin walks into the empty coliseum on his lonesome, his Einjheriar guard assigned to other tasks and unable to provide Gin with protection, although it would be of no use today. Walking through the halls, Gin took the time to appreciate the facility, no more than 2 years ago, he was crown High King of Heaven, his inauguration being on of the proudest moments of his entire life. Seeing Satori on the stage on his lonesome, Gin was not surprised that he was the first person to arrive, known even before his kingship for his punctuality.

"Satori, glad to see you are well." Gin said as he approached the Elder, extending his hand for a firm handshake. Standing tall, Gin's face was a stoic as usual, although he was rather curious as to why Satori called this meeting today. Regardless, Gin would hear his request, what ever it may have as Satori had gone on to rove himself to be the most valuable of all the Elders.

[Mikage Tsubasa]

Tsubasa was glad to get back into the groove of doing her Elderly duties rather than just making sure that the Layers functions properly, finally able to leave Mizuki in charge of the paperwork being reviewed and approved in the Fifth Layer.

Having received a summons from Satori, she thought it better to go. She didn't know exactly what he was planning but it was probably something that Tsubasa needed to keep her eye on. Apparently there was something that she needed to know; she had always known that Satori was the most informed of the Elders, even though he was a sniffling, cowardly dog incapable of differentiating himself from his work. That being said, the fact that he was immersed in his work and did nothing to merit himself personally was something that was useful to Tsubasa at times, so she supposed that she shouldn't have bothered to complain about it at all.

Besides, at least being here would prove that she was devoted to Heaven. She hated Satori with a passion, but he did his work well, and that was something that she would always value him for. It was a lot better than many other citizens in Heaven. Many, many. Tsk tsk. It was thoughts like those that filled Tsubasa with joy at being able to go back to her old job; what she used to do before the Wars, and altercations--not that she would ever give up the pleasure of feeling a weapon of any sort grinding the innards of a Fallen to mush--the reviewing of conduct reports for the nation and the presentation of such to the King. It was gruelling work and it gave her much satisfaction.

As she entered the auditorium, where Satori requested to be met, her eyes immediately landed on the Ha-ou, the High King of Heaven, Kouzetsu Gin. It brought back a nostalgic feeling in her, as just earlier this week she had been reviewing his files in her office. She took great joy in reading about the lives of the loyal in Heaven, and Satori's recording of that tale had been one of the few things he did to her expectations.

Her eyes settled on her King with the utmost approval. She hadn't liked him very much at first, as she was a skeptic for anyone being Ha-ou aside of herself, but he was shaping up to be a very stern King indeed, something that Tsubasa deeply believed the nation of Heaven needed at the moment. Even when she had suggested Setsuna as a traitor during the last meeting, he had rather been able to "see through" her tactic, so to speak; not that any of Tsubasa's reasons had been made up or falsified, but Kouzetsu was not so quick to be manipulated or persuaded in making any sort of decision. Tsubasa knew that while, this would hinder her progess in becoming Ha-ou at some point, she could appreciate someone somewhat like herself being in office. She would even daresay, after reading the wartale in his file for the fourth time, that she even liked him, something that she often said, never thought and rarely meant.

The customary smirk that portrayed the happiness in working that an Elder was supposed to show, she found, became somewhat genuine when she directed it at the King.

"Good day," she said, her hands folded across her chest. She bowed her head in Gin's direction. "I hope that you have had a progressive day, Ha-ou." Then she turned to Satori, her smirk faltering. "I do believe that I was called here by a fellow Elder to be shared information with. I have done my duties for today. I am ready to listen." Even as the words fell from her lips, they didn't sound like her, even to her own ears.
