Personality: By nature, Verge is a hedonist. He lives to exploit physicality in every sense, whether through combat, or any other form of corporeal contact. However, his main goal, aside from finding a permanent method on gaining a physical presence, is to find a purpose. From this, he is obsessed with his duty as Gate Guardian.
History: He never knew his parents. He had heard from patrols that his mother was a mortal, who was shot down as she tried to cross the threshold between worlds. It is assumed that his father was a Shedite, in possession of the body of a human, romancing mortals much as an incubus would. Alone, Verge grew up hovering between the ningenkai and the first layer of the makai, feeding on the ambient heat to mature to adolescence. As with every Shedim, shortly after realizing the plight of his form, he immediately learned to take possession of human bodies in the mortal realm. Through his extensive interactions with the mortal world he managed to learn kyokushin karate from the Shinogi school.
However, even through his vicarious ventures into carnality, he is obsessed with gaining a true physical form. Thus, came Tomo. With a promise of purpose and a gift of ebony armor to house his form in combat, he undertook the duty of Guardian and King of the First Layer of Hell.
He is now sworn to protect the realm from unauthorized escapes or from encroaching forces.
Strengths: Possession of weak mortals, his armor, his hand-to-hand skill, defensive magic, and agility
Weaknesses: He's incorporeal once his armor is destroyed, his magic is limited by the amount of ambient energy, which is limited in itself, that he can absorb in the immediate area. (He can only absorb heat, or electrical charges, and a limited amount of either. Thus, he is only able to shield three times, consecutively, before his shields break.)
Most honorable deed: Verge used his possession abilities to force one of the troops guarding hell's gate to tell him about his parents.
Most dishonorable deed: Used his possession abilities to beat criminals whenever his anger at not having a corpse became too much.

Appearence: His spirit takes the form of a young man in his mid-twenties. He stands 6'3, with long blood red hair, and pale skin. He also wears revealing clothes to feel the sun or the wind on "his" skin. Therefore, he wears long sleeve shirts that are cut off at his midriff and he wears torn jeans.
