PART 1: Time to Move On [Bahlar and Helene]
Bahlar and Helene had lived upon the fourth layer of Heaven for quite a number of years in service to the Queen, the honorable and just Setsuna Amaya Shirogane. It wasn’t as if they did not want to serve her, but it was time to move on.
{Place: Fourth Layer of Heaven, Castle Day: Wednesday night Time: around midnight}
Bahlar entered his living complex in the Royal Castle, wery of another long, stressful, and busy day. His wife, Helene, a flowly red-haired, green-eyed beauty, looked up from the files in her lap.
“How was your day at work, sweetie?” she asked.
Bahlar flopped on the sofa next to her, laying his own files on the coffee table before them. “Busy, like all the other days. But I won’t complain.”
“You never complain,” Helene responded, “Work can’t be that great all the time!” she exclaimed, laying her work aside. Bahlar pulled his wife close, kissed her quick on the forehead, and wrapped an arm around her. After a moment, Helene said, “Did you ask her?”
Bahlar mentally sighed before answering, “No…” Helene gave him a look. “Don’t look at me like that…I’ll ask her—“
“Tell her!”
“I’ll tell her when the time is right.” Bahlar said. “You know I have to be delicate about such an issue.”
“Dear, “Helene begun, “This is what we want. This is what’s best for the children. You know this, I know this. She cannot deny us what we want.”
“I know, but Helene—“
“I know Lady Setsuna is your best friend, I do know this. I know you ‘owe’ her your life. But babe, we need to move on. We decided weeks ago, that we would move to the realm of the human for the sake of the children.” She sighed exhasperated.
“I know, dear but—“
“The children don’t even really understand that they’re human. They’ve grown up near Angels and other species all of their lives. I don’t think they comprehend their humanness.”
“Helene, they know who they are, even if they are only 1, 2, and 5. I’ve told them their ancestry. Helene, you know they’re not just human. You’re part siren, and in my family we have ancestry of youkai. They’re not just human.” Bahlar replied.
Helene sighed, “I know this, I do, but they’re mostly human, I rather them experience life as you and I did when we were children. You live in Egypt and I lived in Vietnam. We only knew ourselves as humans. I want this. You want this. Why are you so afraid to tell Setsuna this?” Helene questioned.
“Helene, it’s not so easy. I owe Setsuna everything, everything. I don’t want to leave her if she needs me. You know. “
Helene sighed, “Well you tell her because I’m not going to. I’m going to bed. Goodnight.”
Bahlar went over to the kitchen, pulled out a bottle of wine, poured half a glass, drained it quickly, and returned to the living room to finish up work.

{Place: Castle Day: Thursday Time: 9am the next morning}
Bahlar walked down the 3rd floor hallway of the Castle to his office, to begin work for the day. He stood outside Setsuna’s office door, mentally going back and forth, deciding if he should go into her office and talk to Setsuna. He decided now was the time. It was literally now or never. He knocked three times quickly.
“Enter!” a muffled voice came from behind the dark cherry oak door. Bahlar pushed the door open. “Bahlar! How are you?” Setsuna asked, behind spectacles. There were papers spread across her desk.
“Hey, Setsu! You look busy.”
“Well…I’m always busy, but please sit. What’s on your mind?”
“Well, I don’t want to disturb you.”
“Bahlar, since when have you ever disturbed me. She looked up from her work. What’s the problem?”
“Well—“
“Hey, Setsuna.” Ami Kudo entered into the room. “Oh, Bahlar, how are you?”
“Well.” He replied.
“Setsuna, are we going over the schedule today?” Ami asked.
“Feeling better, Ami? I don’t want you to stress yourself out.” Setsuna replied
“I’m fine, really.” Ami replied.
“Well, I’ll leave you two ladies. Setsuna, I’ll talk to you later?”
Bahlar stood and went to the door.
“Okay.” Setsuna replied.
Bahlar closed the door behind himself. ‘Whew! I just dogged a bullet.’ He continued down the hall and around the corner to his office.

{Later Thursday same evening, still at the Castle Time: around 6:30pm}
Helene and Bahlar went down stairs to the main floor, to the formal dining room for dinner. Everyday for dinner, Bahlar, Helene, the children, Setsuna, Kirara, Xanthus, and other close staff and guest was served dinner promptly at 6:30 pm every evening.
“Did you tell her?” Helene asked. Bahlar carried, Memphis, their second born, while, Bahlam, their first born, walked beside him. Helene carried, Saqarra, their youngest. Bahlar didn’t respond. “Bahlar, you didn’t?”
“No, Helene—“
“Bahlar!”
“Before you get upset about it, I went to her office around 9 this morning, but she was busy, so…”
“Seriously, Bahlar, we’ll be leaving soon. I’m finalizing housing options. Come on, babe. You’ve got to tell her!”
“I will, but now it’s time for dinner.”
They approached the doors of the Formal Dining Room, two servents opened the doors. One announced, “Lord Bahlar and his lovely wife Lady Helene with Bahlam, Thebes, and Alexandria.” They sat down. Already present was Ami Kudo, and Azov Hyllas—Xanthus’ brother, Xanthus—Setsuna’s fiancé, who was in town, Kirara, Bahlak Zager—Bahlar’s twin, Anabell Spearman—Bahlak’s wife and good friend to Setsuna, Bahlak’s and Anabell’s two small children, Anadyous Spearman—Anabell’s younger brother and best friend to Kirara, and various other usual dinner personnel. Setsuna had yet to arrive.
“Hey, Bahlak, Anabell, what are you doing here?” Bahlar asked.
“Dropped by for dinner, of course.”
They chatted for a while, until they could no longer wait for Setsuna to come down. Dinner was announced and served. Ten minutes later, Setsuna rushed in, foregoing the announcement of her name. “Sorry everyone, I was quite busy.” She took a seat at the head of the table. As always she asked a nearby server for her ‘special drink’. She ate no food.
Later into the meal, Helene clinged the side of her wine glass with her spoon. Everyone looked over to her. “I have an announcement.” She said.
Bahlar whispered, “What are you doing?” Helene promptly ignored her husband and decided to take matters into her own hands.
“Bahlar and I would like to announce that we will be moving.”
“Congrads bro!” Bahlak clapped his younger bro on the back. “Over to the high-rise estates?”
“No, brother-in-law,” Helene replied. “We’ve decided to move to the realm of the human. We want to raise our children away from Heaven for a while.”
There was silence around the table for a brief moment before an assault of congratulations. Setsuna not revealing her surprise by the announce looked straight into Bahlar eyes. “Is this what you really want?” Silence resumed, as all eyes looked between Setsuna and Bahlar.
“Yes, Setsuna, this is what we want.” He replied. Setsuna looked at him, a little oddly as if to question, is this what you want?
“Then, I welcome and encourage it. By any means, do what is necessary for your family and your children.” There is a silent sigh of relief around the table.
Helen elbowed her husband, “See, I told you it’ll be okay.”
“Would you all excuse me please. Duty calls unfortunately. Kirara stop by my office before you go to bed.” Setsuna left the Formal Dining Room.
Bahlar suddenly felt a chill.

{Later that evening, Office of Setsuna Day: still Thrusday Time: around 11ish pm}
Setsuna sat behind her desk, late into the evening. Kirara had come to speak to her mother briefly before bed. Now, Setsuna reviewed the reports from the judging chambers for that day. She hadn’t been down to the chambers in weeks. There was a knock at her door. “Enter!” she said in her standard greeting.
“Hey Setsuna.” Bahlar came in and sat down in front of her desk. “How are you doing?” He knew the true question behind the question, would never be answered; when Setsuna had her face shut of emotion, he could never tell.
“Fine.” She sighed, “Reviewing reports from the Judging chambers. I haven’t been down there in weeks. Ami came in today to plan the months’s schedule. Xanthus wants to take me “out” to dinner. The Elders are coming to check up on things Friday evening, the same day as Kirara’s recital. Can you entertain the Elders when they come?”
Bahlar knew exactly what Setsuna was doing. She was trying to confirm his alliegence of sorts. “Yes, I’ll take them around, so that you can go to Kirara’s recital. No problem. Anything else?” He promptly left the door open in question to his willingness to work.
“Actually, there is…when are you, Helene, and the kids leaving?” she asked, flipping through files and inputting data into her computer.
“We haven’t set an exact date yet. But Helene would like us to be settled into our new house mid-summer before Bahlam begins kindergarden. So in the human realm that’s about 3 months…which is abut 6 weeks here.”
“Where will you be going?”
“Helene originally wanted to return to Vietnam, but the children aren’t proficient in Vietnamese and French. And no one speaks Ancient Egyptian anymore.” Setsuna smiled at this. “So we decided upon Europe, most likely England.”
“That’s a nice place. I’m sure you’ll like it.” Setsuna said.
“Yeah, the children are quite proficient in English as much as Angelic. I think they’ll like it.”
“I’m sure they will…” Setsuna paused. “So,” she started, “since you and Helene are leaving, do I need to look for another Vice Commander of State and Head of the Servants Bureau?”
“Yeah, I believe so. I wanted to continue working here, but Helene doesn’t think it’s best for our family life. I’ll be getting a regular job along with Helene when we get there.”
“Is that what you want or is that what she wants?” Setsuna questioned.
“I believe it is best.” Bahlar replied.
“If you need reference, I can work something out. I have contacts in Europe who can give you a high leveled job. It’s hard to believe that you will actually have to look for work. Here, you’re second in command. Only my word overrides yours. Not many people can say that.”
Bahlar considered her words then replied, “Well, I haven’t really gotten together the job sear h, but I’ll let you know.”
“Bahlar, you’re welcome to still work for this regime, I have off site stuff that always needs to be done. Of course this would require the occasional meeting, here in Heaven, but everything can be arranged.”
“Thanks for the offer Setsuna..are you okay with us leaving? With my leaving?”
“If this is what you want, Bahlar, I am okay.”
“Okay. Well, I’ll head off to bed now. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Bahlar said.
“Goodnight.” Setsuna replied.
Author's Note: So for the purposes of this story, people living in Heaven or Hell speak Angelic, not indefinately, but just as another way to separate the Celestial Realm from the others.
Also, the time estimate was a rough one, I really didn't calculate actual time.
Lastly, I know Night was cast out of Heaven, but for the purpose of this story there is night.

{Three days later Day: Sunday evening Location: Home of Bahlak and Anabell Time: around 8pm}
Bahlak sat with twin brother is his office. They discussed the matter of Bahlar’s and Helene’s departure.
“…And you don’t want to move over here, to the high-rise estates?” Bahlak asked his brother.
“Nah, we will move to the human realm.” Bahlar replied. He took a sip of light soda.
“It’s hard to believe. It’s been years since we’ve last lived on earth, years brother. Last time we truly lived there was a handful of years after Setsuna returned to heaven. That’s more than a few hundred years. I don’t know Bahlar, I’m worried. Humans can’t live this long, and the only reason we have, is because we live here. I don’t know what will happen if you leave.” Bahlak voiced his opinions.
“I understand brother, but we have that worked out. Don’t worry so much.”
Bahlak sighed, “If this is what you want. You’re always welcomed here, anytime.”
“I know.” “I think it’ll be a little weird with you not being near. We’ve always lived close, even in Egypt.” Bahlak Djed Zager, I do believe you are becoming sentimental in your old age!” Bahlar joked.
They laughed into the night.

{Roughly 4.5 weeks later (in angelic time) Day: Saturday morning Time: 10:30 am}
“Is that the last of everything?” Bahlak asked his brother. Bahlar, and Helene arranged for their items to be moved down into their house, in an English suburb. Bahlak and some others came down to help him bring in the boxes.
“That’s the last of it!” Bahlar replied to his twin.
“Well, the house has been painted and mostly decorated, there’s just these few things, I guess. What’s in the boxes?”
“Personal effects, and lots of Helene’s clothes, shoes, and the like.” Bahlar replied. Helene was still in Heaven with the children. They wanted to make sure the stuff was out of the way before the children came so they wouldn’t get hurt. “Setsuna is bringing Helene and the kids through the gate a little later.”
After the two men finished moving the boxes into the house, and sending them to their appropriate places, Helene, and Setsuna arrived with Bahlam, Thebes and Alexandria.
After the children were settled, and Setsuna, Kirara, and Bahlak helped Helene and Bahlar put away the last of the things, it was time to say goodbye.
Bahlak hugged his nephews and niece and told them to ‘be good’. Then hugged his sister-in-low, and pulled his brother aside for a quiet word.
Kirara hugged them as well as well as Helene and Bahlar. “Uncle Bahlar,” she said, “You will come viist won’t you?”
“Of course, KI.” He replied. “I’ll be up to visit every once in a while. T’en fais pas…don’t worry.” Kirara smiled.
Setsuna spoke, “You home is quite beautiful. England is a wonderful place, you’ll grow to love it. I wish you all success.” She then stooped down to the children. “Bahlam, Thebes, Alexandria. Be good for you parents. Mind them always. Perform your best where ever you go.” She cracked a smile.
“We will, aunty Suna.” Bahlam replied speaking for himself and his siblings.
“Good.” Setsuna replied, cracking a smile. She hugged each of the children.
Setsuna then addressed Helene and Bahlar, “If ever you need anything, do not fail to let me know. It will be arranged.” She paused looking to Bahlar; she hugged him tightly.
“Well,” Bahlak said, “I think we should be going.”
After the final round of goodbyes, Setsuna, Bahlak, and Kirara, departed from the suburban house in England towards the gate to Heaven.
Bahlar, Helene and the children stood at the door watching them go. Bahlar looked down at what Setsuna left in his hand. It was a key with Egyptian heiroglphys on it. He smilled. Everything would be okay.

Author’s Note: So this end part 1 of the series. I hope it was at least half decient. Forgive the lack in creativity, I haven’t really written, seriously, in about 2 years.
There are probably many spelling/grammatical errors, forgive those as well.
Next part: General Happenings Part 2: Setsuna or Xanthus, I'm deciding which I will write next.
