Roiyaru stared at his master as he watched him head to the other side of Shadow's bed, seemingly in worry. In a way, he couldn't blame him; he was only acting under instinct of being around a new environment he did not yet understand. But Roiyaru was determined to make him understand, no matter what it took.
He heard his master question his statement as he finished his transition to the other side of the bed, still staring at Roiyaru as if he was about to take his life. Then he heard something else from his master, but not coming from his mouth.
Wait a minute, he heard him say. Did he just call me master?
This gave Roiyaru an idea. He smirked as he continued to look at his master, his tail sidelining the floor from the happiness the idea gave him.
<Yes,> he projected into his master's mind. <I did just call you master, because you are my master. I am here to help you, master; to help you remember who you are. And... to remember who I am as well...>
Suddenly, Roiyaru saw Shadow's sleeping body gasp for air, seemingly reacting to the dream he was having. He saw him as he lied there awake, trying to control his quickened breathing. He watched as he turned toward Roiyaru, giving him a smile.
"Hello, Roiyaru," he greeted him. "Who let you in here?"
Roiyaru smiled as Shadow turned to his left and saw his master, giving him a humorous reply to his presence. It was funny seeing how easily the roles in their relationship have taken opposite sides since their celestial days. It was almost heart warming, except for the fact that he himself had involvement.
"I apologize, Lieutenant," Roiyaru said to Shadow. "In an attempt to search for master, I broke in to your establishment. I am as ashamed as I can be, and I can only plea for your forgiveness..."

Abbadon started looking around the room frantically when he started hearing the dogs voice in his head.
...you see what I mean? He didn't even question the fact that a talking dog wasn't normal after the first encounter with it. A very special being, Abbadon was...
After accepting the fact that there was a possibility that the dog heard his thought and that he was responding to it also through thought, left him in a mood mixed with suspicion and curiosity.
<I am here to help you master,> it told him. <To help you remember who you are. And... to help you remember who I am as well...>
Abbadon's facial expression was strong enough to rival that of Jack Sparrow's whenever he looked confused as hell. With another look at the dog, he was going to question just who it was and how he knew him, until he saw Shadow apparently wake up from a killer nightmare.
Seeing the way Shadow woke up made Abbadon jump a bit. The fact that he still looked like a drunk version of Jack fucking Sparrow didn't help either.
"Oh bugger!" he let slip out of his mouth after his shock stabilized. As he calmed down, he saw Shadow immediately look at the dog first. What he heard come out of his mouth left him more confused than he already was.
"Hello, Roiyaru; who let you in here?"
Abbadon shook his head with a frown on his face and his mouth slightly open.
How many people know this fucking dog?! he thought to himself.
But Abbadon got a hold of himself when he saw Shadow look at him. He smirked, trying to look like this was not the most frustrated day of his life.
"Hey, bro," he said to him. "How'd ya sleep?"
"Abbadon," Shadow said to him, "I'm docking your pay when I get out of bed."
Abbadon immediately got rid of the smirk and gave a death squint at his supposed best friend.
"Fuck you, man!" he said, bringing along the words fingered counterpart. "You act like I was expecting to be attacked by the fucking 'Human Tampon' back there! You were the one making all the random 'Shining Finger' punches you could pull out your ass! If it wasn't for that random-ass ninja guy in the blue spandex, we wouldn't have been unconscious; we'd be dead! So fuck you, and have a nice fuckin' day!"
Abbadon glanced over at the dog, who was apparently finding this funny as hell. Then he heard him call Shadow a Lieutenant, which made Abbadon chuckle a little. It wasn't until after he heard his completely overdone apology until he tapped Shadow on the shoulder.
"Okay, bro," he said as he leaned closer to him, making sure he heard every fucking word that was about to come out of his mouth. "Just answer me this one question: How is it that both you and your sister -- who should have totally fuckin' killed me before I got here, just to let you know -- both know this fucking dog, but it's supposed to be mine because it calls me 'master'? With the key phrase being that it called me master, meaning that it can fucking talk! Did I wake up in a world that makes no sense? Again?!"

Shadow looked at Abbadon, then at Roiyaru. He sighed heavly, making his locks float up and then down again as he thought again in his head.
I should have stayed in bed....
Clearing his throat and looking at Roiyaru first, he smiled. "You don't have to feel bad about breaking in," she started as he began to strech his arms and yawn in the bed he was in, "Just next time, tell me. We can't have regular human's knowing the location of the Devil Saints or a over sized dog---no offence---walking into the flower shop. You don't have ot plea for anything. And for the last time, I am not a Lieutenant. If you need a name for me, call me Shadow, Akuma, Big....er..." Shadow paused for a moment.
"Shadow or Akuma is just fine...." he said with a cough.
He then looked at Abbadon with smile that quickly turn to a frown.
"I'm still docking your pay for the Medical Bill and dude, this is your, I think, and yes I am aware that he can talk. He can do more that th--What did you do to my sister that could have killed you?" he quickly said with one breath.

Abbadon sighed, kinda expecting Shadow to wonder what happened.
"Well," he started, "when I came back inside, I ran into Sara, and I kinda accidentally had my hands bump into her boobs."
Then he pointed.
"But that's besides the point," he said quickly. "You can't deny that a lot of freaky-ass shit's been happening ever since I first found out that you were my--"
Oh shit, he thought to himself. Lust told me not to tell him that we used to be best friends and I almost spilled the beans! Gotta be more careful next time.
"...assassin," he finished. "Yeah. Ever since I found out you were supposed to kill me, all of this shit started to 'unfurl,' or whatever the hell the phrase is."
Abbadon looked at the dog again, this time a little calmer than before.
"So," he said. "You're supposed to be my dog, huh?" he sighed. "Well, if you are my dog, then where were you all this time?"

Roiyaru continued to gaze upon his master's presence during his discussion with Shadow, reminding him of how they used to behave in Heaven. The thought made Roiyaru smile as he continued to watch his master interact with one of the only people in his lifetime he met that made him genuinely happy.
After the two's conversation, his master once again focused on Roiyaru. His look was less tense, as if he was finally ready to hear the truth; the truth that had been held back by him for so long. He asked Roiyaru where he had been all this time, and when he did, Roiyaru gulped as he prepared his answer.
"Trapped," he replied to his master's question. "Imprisoned inside the Sword of Darkness, thanks to our mutual foe Oracle when he bound your powers and manipulated your memory on that fateful day in the Elysium Gardens. Only an amplified source of chaos magic absorbed into the sword would allow my opportunity to escape."
And Roiyaru sat there, awaiting his master's response...

Abbadon looked at his sword, realizing how light it was in comparison to when he usually held it in the past. Then he looked at Roiyaru out the corner of his eye, trying to use an old-fashioned stare down technique to see if the dog was telling the truth.
...Okay, really; does anyone else realizes how awkward that sounds? "To see if the dog was telling the truth?"
But regardless, he thought about the conditions the dog said in order to be released from his sword he found on top of a pyramid when he woke up in Egypt.
"Only an amplified source of chaos magic absorbed into the sword..." he quoted the talking dog. Then he started thinking, which was not Abbadon's favorite pastime. But when he did, his all too common "a-ha!" look appeared on his face.
"Those two balls of energy the sword absorbed when Arashi threw them at Shadow me!" he said out loud. "And... that was amplified by the joint fire attack!"
Abbadon had to admit; when he thought about it, the situation made sense, in a very confusing kind of way. But then he was reminded of all the info he received just a few moments ago when he ran into that Taiyou guy who knew him from his forgotten past. He looked at the dog with a sincere look as he walked over to him, kneeling down to get a good look into his seemingly one good eye.
"I want to know," he said seriously. "Was I... am I... am I an upright or a fallen?"

Roiyaru's tail started to wag when he noticed that his master was able to realize the means of his escape, proud of him in every way. Even though he had to admit that he was a lot smarter back when he was in the heavens, it was comforting to realize that his master was surely starting to gain his genius back.
Then he saw his master come toward him, kneeling down before him to get a good look at his face, recently disfigured during his fight with the fallen Arashi. When he heard his master ask the question involving his true origins, a tender smile graced his face, honored that it would be himself to inform his master as to where he came from.
"You are an upright," Roiyaru told his master. "A prominent Archangel in Heaven, whose lineage is traced to the Shijin Kouryuu. No one knew of the Hakaisha line until you came of age because frankly, it was not supposed to exist. Your father created me to watch over the line; your mother Habashi and your father Noel. I was bonded to him until his death, in which that bond was immediately replaced with you. When you became the only one left, I made it my solemn duty to keep you safe.
"But when Oracle fought us, he accessed the magics in the sword Kouryuu graced your family with to watch over and bound your powers within you, and me inside the sword. He rearranged your memories with his magic over the void to make you forget all of your celestial knowledge to the point where you were confused enough to believe yourself to be a Demiangel. You forgot about me and your allies when you formed your rebellion against the Heaven King Tsubasa," he then stared at Shadow.
"And you forgot about him," he said to his master, still looking at Shadow. He then turned his head back toward his master, still smiling warmly.
"The reason why you are so drawn to Shadow Akuma and why he is so drawn to you," Roiyaru said, "is because he is the mortal incarnation of the Lieutenant of your rebellion and your best friend, Shadow Seijin."
Then Roiyaru looked at Abbadon, awaiting his next thought.

Shadow stared at the wall for what felt like years when he kept an open ear on what Roiyaru had just spoke of. there were many of things going on in his head that he had to dwell on for the time being but him being Akuma Shadow, he had go through the fact out loud.
"So let me get this right," he started, "He use to be a Archangel but is now a human but he he use to lead an re---I was a Archangel in a past life?"

Roiyaru chuckled at Shadow's reaction to what was muttered out of his maw. He was not at all surprised at his reaction. As a matter of fact, he was almost expecting it.
"Yes, Shadow; you were an Archangel in a past life," he told him. "Shadow Seijin was completely identical to you; same facial features, same eyes, same hair. That is why I call you Lieutenant, because you are." He paused. "Well, you were. Your existence here now only means that the Archangel is dead. You are all that is left of him. His features, his personalities... everything. I am surprised Lust and Rage have not yet told you."
Roiyaru once again placed his attention to his master, still knelt down to his eye level.
"I would never lie to you, master," Roiyaru told him. "Everything that I have told you both about Shadow and yourself is true." His brow then made a sorrowful gaze. "Please believe me master..."

Abbadon took in just about everything the dog told him, basically hearing a confirmation of everything that Taiyou told him, who was waiting for him outside the flower shop. But what sold him that this dog really knew who he was, was when he made it known that he knew that Abbadon and Shadow used to be best friends, just like Lust and Rage told him a few days ago. And from the way it sounded, he even knew who Lust and Rage were!
Abbadon looked at Shadow, still knelt down, and rubbed the back of his neck, smiling nervously.
"Yeah," he started telling Shadow after the dog questioned why his personalities never let him know. "You know the night you pulled me through the teleportation system when you keeled over for a bit? Lust and Rage came out and told me that we used to be friends. They didn't say anything about us being Archangels or anything, but they asked me not to tell you and accept the sixth seat of the Devil Saints to... protect you, while they worked on your memory of me. I would've told you a while ago, but what can I say? I'm a man of my word."
Abbadon once again looked at the dog in front of him, asking Abbadon to believe him. He even tried to give off that adorable puppy-face thingy that makes women go "aww, he's so cute," while your standing there with your hands in your pockets going, "IT'S A FUCKING DOG!!!" But, he could tell that there was truth from what he said, so he nodded in response.
"Don't worry," he told the dog, "I believe you. I just need to know two things: how do I get all of my powers back, and, more importantly, how do I remember?"

Roiyaru smiled tenderly at his master, gladdened that even though he still didn't remember him that there was still a part of him that trusted him. Roiyaru cleared his throat, preparing himself to finally lead his master out of the mild darkness and finally into the light.
"Believe it or not, master," Roiyaru started, "but there is a bit of irony in your words. You have a very affective power within you, and it's not just your control over fire; that was taught to you. The reason why you can access the powers within the Sword of Darkness is because you have a natural ability to control chaos. But more importantly, you have a completed pact with the powers of the Past; whatever you touch, you can peer into the past events of that item or person."
Roiyaru chuckled as he once again looked at his master with his warm smile.
"You see now master?" Roiyaru said. "You have the ability to remember who you were all this time. You just needed someone to remind you..."

Abbadon raised an eyebrow, hearing what the dog had to say about his powers. Now there was no doubt in his mind that the dog was telling the truth. The fact that the dog said he could naturally control chaos magic was pretty bad-ass. But still; Past? That has to be one of the gayest powers ever!
Abbadon stood up, looking at the dog and glancing back at Shadow, who he could honestly tell was finding this to be one hell of a Comedy Central Special.
"So," Abbadon said. "I was taught fire, I was born wielding chaos, but I have a pact with the powers of... Past." Abbadon raised his hand up, before letting them flop to his sides again.
"Yep," he said before sighing in frustration. "That seems about right..."

I am surprised Lust and Rage have not yet told you I am surprised Lust and Rage have not yet told you I am surprised Lust and Rage have not yet told you I am surprised Lust and Rage have not yet told you
Those words ran through Shadow's mind over and over like a chick screaming when being hunted by one of those monsters in a A-movie with a very low budget. He could do only one thing; there was only one thing to do.
"LUST!" Shadow shouted out loud. Nothing happen. "RAGE!" Shadow shouted with more force but nothing happen.
"If you guys don't come out here in five seconds, so help me---" as soon Shadow let out that last word, two figures stood side by side next to Abbadon.
"Spill it." Shadow said as he eyed both of them. Lust and Rage's head's hanged low.
"Say something" Shadow said with a sigh. Rage made an attempt but Lust stopped him by placing his hand in front of him and sighing.
"Alright," Lust finally said after sighing one more time, "So we told Abbadon here to keep silent about our little meeting. It was for your own good, we didn't have anything else but to knock you the fuck out for the time being." Rage cleared his throat.
"What he means," Rage spoke, "Is that you use to remember your past life, very well. You see, we are a hex that is suppose to go along with every reincarnation of Shadow Seijin. Thanks to Oracle and the Sword of Darkness. The only reason that you don't remember a thing is that, well...."
"You went crazy after your father died!" Lust shouted, "We had to wipe your memories of that event but we erased your past life memories...by accident? Yeah, lets go with that, by accident."

Abbadon tried his best not to let what he found out about his magical uses bother him. He took another look at Shadow, who, for some strange reason, looked a little bit more pissed than angry. Abbadon wondered to himself why, then he remembered something that the dog said to Shadow a few minutes ago.
I am surprised that Lust and Rage have not yet told you.
Abbadon rolled his eyes and sighed, seeing where this was going. He could only say one word at a time like this.
"Shit."
Suddenly, Lust and Rage appeared on each side of him, putting Abbadon in-between the two beings. He jumped in response to their sudden appearance.
"What the fuck?!" he yelled. "Don't do that shit!"
As Abbadon calmed down, he started to hear Shadow's interrogation of his two personalities. According to them, they were around long before Shadow was born, back to the days of Seijin in heaven. Apparently, every time a person is born as a reincarnation of Seijin, they are cursed with both his memory and his two personalities, and it was Shadow's turn in line. He looked at each of them after Lust basically said that it was Oracle's fault after he first used the sword and nodded.
"Well, yeah; that makes sense," he said in a smug-like sarcastic manner before rubbing the bone of his nose in frustration.
That's when Abbadon first heard of Shadow's father, when Lust said that they accidentally wiped the memories of his past life after he died by accident. And the way Lust said that shit was so convincing. In a way, he almost felt sorry for Shadow; to be hounded by these two backseat drivers would cause anyone to seek out a mastermind psycho like Oracle to fix. But, it was through Oracle that the two found each other again, right? When he saw Oracle again, he'd have to remember to thank him for this.
Kill him afterwords, but thank him none the less.
Abbadon chuckled lightly as he looked at his best friend. "I guess memory laps are something we have in common in this life huh, bro?" he said, trying to sound assuring.

Roiyaru watched as Shadow summoned Lust and Rage without any sense of surprise mounted on his face. He did, however, chuckle at his master's reaction to them appearing next to him. He listened to their explanation of their origins, finding just about everything they confessed to Shadow true. When they explained why they rid Akuma of his memories of his past self, however, that sparked an idea in his head so brilliant that his tail started to wag with excitement.
Roiyaru turned toward his master and looked up with a smile, since he was now standing upright.
"Only you have the power to make both Shadow and yourself remember, master," he said. "You just need to dig deep inside and unleash the power that was locked away inside of you."

Abbadon looked down at the dog and heard what he had to say regarding his and Shadow's memories. Only he had the power? The power he didn't know he had until a red talking dog let him know?
"Since when was I cast as 'The Chosen One' in 'The Golden Child?!" he said sarcastically. "I should be getting royalty checks out the ass by now!!"
Abbadon looked at the dog, as serious as he could be, even with that smile that women found adorable.
"And besides," he said as he tried to shun off his previous statement. "I tried that already with the sword. It keeps giving me these useless memories that don't help me at all."

Roiyaru could not help but chuckle at his master's mild sense of humor. Although he had no idea as to what he was talking about, he probably realized that he was referencing some form of mortal entertainment culture. That was one thing he loved about his master; he always found a way to laugh at anything.
When Roiyaru heard that his master tried the past magic through his sword, he shook his head and sighed.
"That is because you used your past magic on the Sword of Darkness itself," Roiyaru informed his master. "That blade tends to dispurse random amounts of chaos magic; the visions you saw when you touched both the sword using your past magic were during it's random chaotic spilling.
"When you tapped into the swords abilities, you only saw what it wanted you to see because of the chaotic magic residing inside, whereas if you used your own Past magic, you would have seen whatever it was you wanted."
Roiyaru stood up. "In order for you to see your past and gain back your memories," he continued, "you must not rely on the sword. Tap into your own power of the Past. Only then will you be able to control the sword to it's full potential as you once did in Heaven."

Abbadon took out the Sword of Darkness and looked at it closely. Looking at it in a different light, he never would have thought that this sword would have caused him so much trouble. Then he looked at the dog, noticing that every time he spoke, nothing but truth came out of its mouth. He was even starting to look past the fact that it could talk to begin with.
Believing the dog, Abbadon twirled the sword around in his hand before quickly placing it back inside the sheath on the left side of his waist. He smirked at the dog as he placed his hands inside the pockets of his new black cloak.
"Alright," he said. "What do I have to do?"

Roiyaru was gladdened that his master was willing to do what was necessary to remember his past. It was rather comforting to him, only because after he performed the said activity, his master would finally remember who he was.
"In order for you to reach the memories of both Shadow and yourself," Roiyaru said, "all that is needed is a touch and deep concentration."
Roiyaru stood up, continuing to look at his master.
"You can do this, master," he said to him. "I know you can..."

Abbadon looked at the dog, listening to the instructions he was giving him. Seemed simple enough; just touch Shadow and start to concentrate. He nodded, finding this to be one of the most easiest things he had to do in a while.
Abbadon looked out the corner of his eyes, staring at both Lust and Rage respectfully. With one big step, Abbadon immediately moved to the left side of Shadow's bed. The last place he wanted to be between were those two.
He rose his hand, staring at it a bit, still kinda amused that all it took was touching someone he knew to get some of his memory back. He looked at the dog again, catching a look of assurance in his eyes. Weirdly enough, Abbadon felt it and smirked at him. He then looked at Shadow, trying to mimic the same kind of assurance that he picked up through the dog with his own smirk.
"Well," he said to him, "you ready for this bro?"
