Mimiko stood, shaking with rage as she shouted, "How dare you accuse Tsubasa of doing anything wasn't in Heaven's best interests? The Shijin were using us! Sanada abandoned us for her stupid life in the past, for something that she could never get back! Tohru was a fucking lazy oaf. I hope that they're all dead. And as for your sister, we all knew that she was a bad egg from the beginning. Her own family didn't trust her! She fell on her own! You cannot make someone fall, you moron! I say good riddance. I hope that you die in the same vast wasteland as I hope that Tohru, Haruhi and Asaba did. You deserve to be fed to the Maryuu-ou for your betrayal! You should be hanged and you body given to Fenrir of the Spirit Realm--you should be burned and your charred remains imprisoned with the Shijin! You deserve less than the Humans, than the wretched vile ones! You deserve to rot away into nothingness! If it is the last thing I do I will purge your name from every piece of our written history!" she cast a glare at Satori, the official recorder of the realm as though he would start this as soon as they left this meeting.

Honestly...If Hayate had known that a meeting between the Celestial realms highest powers was going to be quite so....eventful....he might not have bothered to accept Tomo's invitation to become one of them.
As the newcommer he'd been doing his best to stay out of the mix, to keep a low profile and absord everything while masking his presence.
He couldn't decide which was more entertaining to watch--Maha-ou-sama's squabble with a Heavenly king or Rei-sempai's brother effectively throwing his crown in the dirt and grinding it in with his feet.
Feeling utterly useless to do anything else, and because he like Rei-sempai, he put an arm around her shoulders and shot a thinly veiled glare at her sibling.

"WHY DO YOU EVEN EXIST HERE?" Mizuki shouted, louder than even Mimiko, "Why did Byakko make you? I did nothing but what I was tol. I did nothing but was a good fiance to you. I did naught but care for you, and yet you call me a piece of garbage. I see now what Tsubasa has been telling me! You are a rotting piece of filth in our ranks. On behalf of everyone here at this meeting, get out and do not come back. If I ever see your face in our presence again I will kill you. I will hunt you down and kill you. HE IS THE ONE THAT WE KILL ON SIGHT!!! HE IS THE ONE WHOM WE SHOULD SPEND EVERY RESOURCE GETTING RID OF!" She knew that she was stepping out of her boundaries, but there was just so much...rage, so much...anger.
Her chest was heaving, and she was trying to catch her breath.

Ren didn't spare a glance toward Mimiko--he'd known her opinion of him for years, she wasn't exactly spouting anything knew.
He did turn his gaze to Mizuki, however, coolly.
"...I did you wrong, not refusing the engagement the moment it was proposed. It was an error of judgement on my part and one that led to events that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Yet the mistakes I made were my own and your narrow-mindedness is your own. That's why I call you trash. You've been nothing but Tsubasa's lapdog since your creation and the fact that forcing you on my was some thinly veiled attempt at supressing me makes me all the more disdainfull of you. I may be filth, and I may be trash in Heaven's eyes, but I'd rather be that than a rotting peice of flesh who worships some illusionary goddess as her Madame." He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He could feel that pressure at the back of his head that let him know that he was letting his control slip just a little too much. He knew it wouldn't take much now for him to lose it. "I'm really a reletively small fish in the grand scheme of things, Toudou-san, don't let your personal grudges cloud the judgement your master provides for you."

Tsubasa listened to everything that was said--the accusations, the excuses, those who had opinions, those who knew fact.
...then she heard Ren's voice, the voice the the man that she had killed and had killed her all those years ago.
Images flashed through her mind--her Rehabilitation Center for Troubled Angels, Ren's face contorted in pain--and felt this pain well up on the inside. Only...it felt nice...like it would make her invincible, like she should kill every single one of the people in the room with her. They were all impure in some way or another, anyway. Why not start anew?
...because she needed allies, because the plague of the Infernal ones had to be stopped. When they were eradicated, then she could purge Heaven's own ranks.
She sighed. Ren was standing right before her, throwing away his throne and asking to leave.
That was when Tsubasa's vision went Red, and everything was coated with the blood that she had seen sputter about when she had tried to help Ren, and when he had refused.
She rose shakily after Mimiko's and Mizuki's outbursts; she could barely keep her balance in her large red dress as she approached Ren, the ex-King that had refused every act of kindness that she had bothered to offer to him.
Even with her red vision, she felt strangely at peace, and while her steps were unstable, they were firm, and when she finally made her way to face Ren. she was smiling.
"It's nice to know that you're leaving, Ren. Good luck with whatever miserable life you pursue. We'll be in touch."
And with that statement, she reached out with very sharp nails and swiped Ren viciously across his right cheek before returning to her seat, blinking and looking at Mimiko and Mizuki. She wasn't quite sure what she would do if she had to waste another moment looking at that waste of flesh.
"Please leave."

Rei had sat through Mimiko's outburst, partially because she had still been shock and partially because she also had heard the schpeel before.
She'd been offended on Ren's behalf at Mizuki's outburst but had been put at ease by his reply.
That Tsubasa had felt the need to reply she hadn't doubted, though to lay hands on her twin after the incident that had ended in her death was another matter entirely.
She stood up slowly and shook Hayate's arm from around her shoulders. Wondering if she could get to Tsubasa before her brother could and doubted it. She could feel the energy that was purely the Kataki no Seirei rolling off him in waves and resonating so deeply in her sould that it might as well have been her own.
"Ren..."

Mei was a little shaken by the rage that was building up by the various people in the room. So much so that she was no longer mad herself. She stared at the heaving elder with a bewildered look. All of this was new to her and she tried to take in as much as she could before she opened her mouth again.
But before Mei could say anything about Ren, she watched Tsubasa get up as if she was possessed in a way and scratched Ren's face and telling him to leave. It made her feel a little sad to lose a Heaven King but then she figure it would be the best. Who knows if he would have cause in problems in the future anyway. He had already made trouble for her.
Oblivious to the energy welling up in the room she turned to Ren and said "Well you heard the Elder, leave."

He couldn't say he hadn't been expecting Tsubasa to react violently after all he'd said against her and given her unbalanced state of mind. He was glad that she only lashed out physically though....
He wiped his sleeve against his cheek and frowned when it came way wet.
"Ren..." He heard his sister in tone from across the room. He could feel her gathering energy and quickly put a binding spell on both of their pact seals. The only way he could thing of to keep her in check if she got too angry.
"It's fine, Rei. I've been trying to do that for the past five minutes, Sora-ou, I don't doubt that your distractions are hindering things. And I would highly advise you to stay out of things that don't concern you Isurugi-san. Rei isn't the only one who bites. " He sighed and closed his eyes again. "For the love of Byakko, Tomo, if you don't want your peace talks to dissolve into a berserker free-for-all, you'll open the Kekkai by the time I reach the front door." He practically growled, stalking out of the room in the process and hoping--for once--that his actions would have some impact in the greater scheme of things.

Tomoyo did not like not like being ordered around or being spoken to in the manner in which Ren addressed her. She had been planning to verbally come to Ren's defense but considering his most recent outburst in terms of speaking to her she would not do no such thing.
Changing her kind tone to one that was both condescending and insulting, she said, "The Kekkai is designed only to keep those who are not Heavenly Kings out, if you do not have the magical prowess to tell. You can leave when you want. Just walk through and close the gate on your way out."
Hoping that the Ren business was solved, Tomoyo said, her voice back to its kind and patient sound, "Now that this is settled, and there are no longer any reason to bring up issues pertaining to my husband, is there any other petty business that we need to discuss before Heaven decides whether or not it is going to War?"

Setsuna remained silently in her seat absorbing the mock-anarchy forming around her. She could not believe that they were discussing this issue again.
She hardened her face when Gin glanced her way. Her loyalities were not of his concern or business. All he needed to know was they she was a King of Heaven and she faithfully did her job. Setsuna made a mental note to consider speaking with him at another time. What time they lived in, as to where the Celestials would question her--of all people--about her loyalities.
Setsuna was not shocked at all when Ren willingly gave up his position on the 6th of Heaven. With all of the pressure, it was understandable, but for him to essentially do what Tsubasa and her regime wanted, may not have been the best course of action.
Setsuna realized that Heaven's dissent among each other may be past the point of repairing. Tsubasa's tyranny had gone on long enough. The Elders seemed afraid to express thoughts outside those of Tsubasa's. The other Heavenly Kings were being pursuaded to take up the cause. Everything was going terribly wrong. Setsuna put two fingers to a temple and shook her head. Way back when, it seemed so simple, everyone was united, then slowly, it all fell apart to this.
At the mention of Chiyo's name, Setsuna felt a pain. Chiyo-sama had been a close friend, and the day she died it did hurt. But knowing that Chiyo was away and safe was good enough, for now.
Setsuna kept her composure, for the present issues did not involve her.........

Post by Kouzetsu Gin on Mar 6, 2008 0:15:39 GMT -4
Looking at Tomo, Gin began to unclasp his hands placing them in front of himself, "As for this young angel, as you have so referred to me, my name is Kouzetsu Gin, and I am 1500 years 'young' as you so put it bluntly. Gin said, not sparing any change in tone as he addressed the Yami-ou.
Gin then watched as Ren addressed the gathered and made his plan's of throne abandonment known to all. Gin watched patiently as Ren removed himself, taking great care to watch Tsubasa as she scathed Ren's face, preparing to restrain her with words. This was not necessary as the cause for her outburst, Ren, was making his way to exit the conference. For the first time Gin felt the need to address both the exiting Ren and Tomo, who remained seated, scolding her husband for his harsh tone toward her, "Such a wanton display of cowardice and disrespect does not bode well for the already questionable morality of the Heavenly host assembled here today, and as such I cannot let the former King's weakness compromise the position we in Heaven seek to desperately hold onto here today. If appropriate action must be taken, if and when we return to our realm, I will personally make it my obligation to see to it that the resolve of Heaven stay the course." Gin said, with no regard for Ren, looking directly at all the elders as he spoke.
"Tomo, we came here to discuss the war, and as you can see we do not even possess the unity to stand against you and your own, if such a conflict were to arise. I propose that if you don't plan on destroying us, adjourn this talk of armistice, and we shall return to Heaven, in the hopes of reestablishing the stability of our realm. If possible, Heaven making itself self sufficient, without cause for suspicion of Hellion uprising from within its own ranks, could possibly quell the flames of war that is on the horizon. If not, continuing a conference based upon breeding hostility and pending betrayals, as you can see from your husband's face, will defeat this very purpose of this arrangement, for Tsubasa is not only one who has a rising desire for blood lust judging from the argumentative atmosphere that fills this room. Wouldn't you agree Yami-ou Sanada Tomo?" Gin said, putting forth the effort to directly address this commentary to Tomo, actually addressing full name and rank.

Yomi scoffed. "Are you kidding me?" she choked on her own laughter, and then caught herself, remembering the cold words that Tomoyo had used against even her own husband. She was already not on good terms with Tomo and trying to get herself back to the position of authority that she used to be in Hell was going to take a lot of work.
That said, she kept her mouth shut from further discussion. This Angel--Kouzetsu Gin or whatever his name was--seemed to be the only one willing to admit what was really going on in Heaven, and Yomi had to say that she was surprised, because Heaven's usual response included threats of malice and surprise attacking. It was almost nice to see someone from Heaven actually trying to change the things that were fucked up about it, and for the first time in the presence of a Heavenly being, Yomi didn't...she didn't want to say anything offensive. It seemed that this guy and Sanada had everything under wraps, so she said nothing, folding her arms and meekly trying to hide her surprise.

Lailis smiled, looking from Satori on one side to Yamashiro on the other, silently telling them to pay attention to the words of this "young angel" as Sanada called him. He was concise, to the point, and he actually acknowledged the state of Heaven and their deteriorating interperson affairs. Lailis agreed with every bit. Perhaps, after Heaven had gotten itself together, the two parties could reconvene with the hopes of deciding what would happen in terms of the War. It was only now that Lailis realized what the point of the meeting really was; Sanada was the type to plan in advance--or at least had been in recent centuries--and it was the damage that she wanted to control rather than the fighting. Of course, if it had been Lailis in battle, he wouldn't have given a flying fuck as to what happened to those on the sidelines, but caring about those who had nothing to do with her was something that Sanada had been doing for sometime. Too bad, it really was, because it made her seem as though she was an actually decent person and she hadn't killed countless creatures herself. However, he supposed that the Yami-ou had realized quite some time ago how precious life really was, for those in her Realm and beyond.
Unfortunately, she was not on Heaven's side, so this development only served to be a portion of Lailis's personal archive on how to predict Sanada's actions in the future.

Post by Shirogane Yamashiro on Mar 6, 2008 1:57:59 GMT -4
Lailis, his brother Elder, had caught Yamashiro's eye--but there was no need. Yamashiro's ears had already taken in the words of the one who had introduced himself as Kouzetsu Gin. He had arrived to the meeting with Tsubasa, and the name sounded vaguely familiar. Thusly, Yamashiro categorized him as a War Hero, because those were the names that were echoed throughout Heaven but weren't royalty. However, this conflicted with Gin's refined speech, which reflected the upbringings of an aristocrat, which was still possible but a bit more rare.
In any case, everything that came from the young Angel's mouth was true, and he seemed to know what to say diplomatically represent Heaven in an efficient way that did not compromise their dignity--something that had been tossed out of the window for almost two millennia--and maintain peace between both sides at the same time. Gin did not insult Sanada, and actually addressed him by full name and title, which was something that no one in Heaven really did to her face.
Yamashiro couldn't help the slight smile that spread to his face when Gin finished speaking. He liked this angel. And from the look on Lailis's face, he did as well. Perhaps there would be a greater usage for him. He seemed too intelligent to allow to waste in whatever meager accommodations he had to have had now. He waited for the responses of other Elders and Kings, but he was sure that, knowing their emotional based decisions, they wouldn't be as positive as his approval or Lailis's.

Post by Hanajima Satori on Mar 6, 2008 2:23:30 GMT -4
Satori's mouth was caught in an 'o' shape of surprise when he heard Gin's introduction and argument. He had not expected such a well-mannered performance from someone traveling with Tsubasa. However, he had taken the authority over the meeting and asked many of the questions that other Kings had neglected to ask. Caught up himself in the insulting of the previous Ha-ou, he had not been paying attention to the continuing conversation between Tomoyo and Gin--now that it was brought to his attention he couldn't help but be mesmerized by Gin's words. They were true and he had no choice, even though they stung, but to admit them, and he nodded unconsciously to the comments made.
He desperately hoped that Tomoyo wouldn't declare War on Heaven anyway. Many of the Angels in Heaven depicted her as a cold and heartless monster, but Satori knew different...or so he thought. He had grown up with Tomoyo, and she had never been anything other than loving and caring, and he refused to believe anything else about her, no matter what path she had taken that led her away from Heaven. Satori didn't know what Heaven would do if Hell declared War on Heaven because it was weak, but he could only wait for the Yami-ou's response.

Ayaka watched carefully of all the events that were happening. Ren was leaving, Tsubasa was being a bitch, Tomo wasn't trying to make a fight in spite all of it.
She begain to question herself as she looked with her ears when she closed her eyes.
What do I have to put thought of this? What in the hell do I have to with any of this?
She even began to wonder if she should be here at this meeting. There was one thing that was keeping her here anyway:
Kouzetsu Gin.
She couldn't figure it out but she had a feeling that he was trying to make things happen and not to anyone's favor.

For the first time since the commencement of this meeting, Setsuna was persuaded to believe Gin's words, despite his failing attempts to insult her in a rather indirect manner. He spoke truth: Heaven was falling apart because the Kings were not united and not completing their duties and tasks. It is true: Heaven needed to rebuild herself, putting strong and capable beings into leadership of all the leaderless realms.
Before Heaven did anything else, the leaders needed to sit down amongst themselves and establish rules, regulations, and protocal. All of the Kings and Elders needed to share their concerns and ideals. However, peace with Hell, instead of the total annhilation of it, was needed. Everything in this world, needed an opposite; if there was a Heaven, there needed to be a Hell, for balance sake.
Setsuna was willing to formally agree to this plan, if, the other kings did not question her loyalty. If she was not loyal to Heaven, why would she be there--occupying a layer--propositioning for peace.
Setsuna spoke up after a long period of silence. "If we, as Heaven, are to do as Gin suggest, and re-establish and strenghten our hold, then, I still believe we should at least come to peaceful terms with Hell in order to insure time for this re-establishment. If we have a treaty, then, we--Heaven--can work internally. Our internal needs are many and should be established and brought to light as soon as possible."
Setsuna was willing to work towards Heaven's benefit, but that may mean partering with unlikely people...

Mei was kinda hurt by Ren's comment, after all, his business affected all of Heaven and thereby was Mei's concern. So she thought. She watched as Ren was leaving but her attention was then caught by Gin's oration. She liked this Heaven fellow, he showed that he was the most civil person in this entire room. She started feeling shameful though when he admit to Heaven' deteriorating state that it is in. All this time Heaven has done nothing but prove that in this meeting. With the exception of Tomo, none of the Hellion Kings have said anything. They have done nothing but watched as Heaven fought like children on the playground. She felt like she was to blame, she was the one who did mentioned about Ren's loyalty and it made her ashamed of herself.
Trying to hide the anguish that came upon her face as she was thinking she shifted in her seat and wiped her face. "I'll find that hard to believe that Hell and Heaven could be in peaceful terms while Heaven get itself together, but I'll agree that Heaven needs some work done. Though I think we should agree that Hell should stay out Heaven affairs from now on. And I'll feel safer if Hell stays away Heaven. And since Ren will no longer be with us, Tomo, you have no reason to visit Heaven.
As for the war, I can't promise that there won't be a war in the future because I know that Hell can't make that promise. Even if you Tomo, don't feel the need to attack, I'm not certain your comrades would feel the same way."

Rei sighed as it looked like the meeting was actually shifting back on topic. As was so often true when dealing with uptights, they let their internal power-play get in the way of the bigger issue.
She--very, very grudgingly, sympathized with the looks of approval from heaven's residents at the newest addition to the higher echelon. He was a rare one in Tsubasa's ranks, he didn't follow her hook, line and sinker and actually had a mind of her own, which, save for Setsuna couldn't really be said of any of the current kings in the room (or some of it's Elders).
She was getting more than a little pissed off at the off-color comments from the peanut gallery.
She sighed again and sent a glare to Mei.
"We've always kept our word in dealings with Heaven. Like Tomo said, we've never struck at you or even retaliated when you've struck at us. You assassinated Seki, turned Suka spy against us, drove Yomi insane, and you, Isurugi, attacked Kojiro's layer days after he'd been crowned. Not to mention the whole Maryuu-ou incident. If anything, we're far more trustworthy than you all. At least all of our intreague was kept out in the open. We offered our help after Heaven caved in on itself allowing Nayanae, Sasuke and Inu to meddle with dangerous magic. The only offensive action we've ever taken against Heaven is the destruction of it's second Ha-ou. I carried it out under Yami-ou-sama's orders and in accordance with her personal wishes but it had nothing to do with either Heaven or Hell. It was a personal matter between them that ultimatly had tragic results. That's it.
"As for my brother, he was placed on the Sixth by us. It's true. There was never hiding it. We thought he would be the best suited and no one objected. He wasn't a spy, he was an aid. You were down on Kings and he happens to be a very powerful arch.....or was a very powerful archangel. Don't cast doubts on our motives when all the backstabbing has been on your end."

Tsubasa couldn't believe what she was hearing; there was no reason to NOT go to War with Hell, not matter what Kouzetsu was saying. This was not an option! This was not a choice! There was no other alternative to this!! Tsubasa had thought at first that Kouzetsu had been with her, that he had been on her side.
She allowed the rage to show plainly on her face. She felt the need to yell the other Elders into submission. Was this crafty Malakite-nobody trying to turn them against her. Was he trying to usurp the power she had worked so hard to acquire?
But because the Elders and a few Kings had already spoken, she knew that she had been outnumbered. She shot a look of pure contempt at Gin, and then at Rei, who was the last person who had spoken. There was nothing more that she could gain from this meeting; not when there was a random angel who was as important as a--as a...as a Human taking control over the hold she'd had over those in Heaven. He was ruining all of her plans.
She wanted no part in this. She wanted no part in a decision that was being made to spite her and not in cooperation with her.
She rose without another word--she would not be whiny and insistent and trying too hard to prove herself as Ren had been--and left. She had no crown to toss away, but she removed herself from this...this farce of a meeting between Heaven and Hell. She should have gone with her instincts and had an army ambush those infernal wretches.
She was pretty sure, considering the fanfare that Ren had received upon his exit, that no one would care, but she wasn't about to give them the satisfaction of allowing them to see her go through with this. She did not approve, and she would not pretend as though she did.
